May I just say, wow. I am so utterly in awe of this fic, your characterisation alone is phenomonal, your Duo is so believably cultivated from the original 15-year-old, so completely convincing that Freeport is seriously becoming Canon in my head. And as for the idea of Freeport itself... I bow to you. You've developed Freeport so well, it's both imaginative but also very logical, you've thought of all the checks and balances on power. And also I love how you capture that idea of constant threat on a colony, the awareness that any second there could be a breach, that vulnerability from which all the colonies suffer but most especially Freeport. Not to mention the politics you put forward, the different ideas on ordering society, and the skill with which you use Wufei as our guide through this new world... Like everyone else I'm desperate for the 2x5 to begin in all its smutty glory, but I'm enjoying discovering Freeport just as much. I really hope you're getting better, and please please with naked Wufei on top (or bottom, wherever you like him) post more soon. The complexity and skill of Freeport is just breathtaking.

Interesting argument. You might want to stick in some for the other side as well though. Not necessarily to even out things (that's not the point of the fic), but just to remind people that there are other ways people look at things. It takes multiple perspectives to make a civilization, and Duo's certainly isn't the only, let alone the "perfect" one. (If you do find the "perfect" one, be sure to let me know ^_^V) Oh and I'm sorry about my last review. MM.org's review system was still buggy when I left it, so it got sent multiple times.

Do you think it's sad that I checked this page at least ten or eleven times this weekend to see if it was posted yet? I originally found it on Dacia's archive, but found I couldn't wait for her to get the chapters up, so I came here. Love.

I can't see how this will have a happy ending. I mean like, will Wufei stay with Duo on L2 if they get together, or will Duo leave with Wufei? Or will they both go their own separate ways. Hmm... Can't think.

Your stories are absolutely phenomenal. I can't get enough of them, honestly. The best part is that the relationships are so complex-- I'm left thinking about them for days after I finish reading. And characterization is spot on too, in my opinion. I love the long chapters. Keep it up! I love how detailed and intricate the setting and the plot are. It's got enough detail that I can really get into the story, but it's not so convoluted that if I'm feeling brain dead I don't understand. I eagerly await the completion of 'Freeport', and I think the waits in between chapters are going to be nothing short of torturous. There is not nearly enough great 2x5 fanfiction out there! Thank you so much for contributing! Ack! I can't wait to see what happens!

Another solid chapter- this time we get a few more scraps on Wufei's history, and some very well done Duo-Wufei interaction. I was expecting Wufei to find some excuse to scream as well, even if it was ostensibly at Duo... This chapter is absolutely the funniest. I especially loved the part // "Then I composed a small poem in reference to his ancestry and their relationship to canines," Wufei finished sadistically, watching the smuggler's crumbling façade. "He liked that one so much he asked me if he could hang it in his office. That actually helped my stress and anger levels no end."// That paragraph had me giggling for ages, and I loved it how Duo was trying to keep up with the compassionate facade even though he wanted to laugh and Wufei knew that. That made the scene doubly funny.

I like how you've added more personal interaction in this chapter, a little less of the business talk. Doesn't need to be all fluffy, but I would love to see more of that threaded into the plot and intrigue.

*contented moan* Ohhh... that was pretty. Duo's definitely getting under Wufei's skin now. I shall enjoy watching him crumble the rest of the way. Because I think Duo's already interested and is aware of it. The impish fellow that he is would probably derive pleasure from making Wufei be the one to initiate a relationship. But... that's only one way to go. Anything, really, could happen... Loved Wufei's poetry topic. I'm not clear on what he lied to Duo about. According to Wufei, he was actually alone... so he's lying about the losing his temper bit? He did it on purpose? A premeditated attack? Hm. Sounds possible. Perhaps we'll find out later? I'm forgetting who Ravachol is, but I suppose the memory'll come back when I read the next chapter or else I can flip back to see. And may I say, damn living in the city. -_-;; I've frustrating papers to write and I really could go for a primal scream right now. Of course, I'd have two dozen neighbors and the cops beating on my door. Freeport's looking pretty good... especially since there wouldn't be any papers to write there to begin with. However, the manual labor, stinky air, and weird food appeal to me even less. Oh well. Good header quotes this chapter.

I read this entire fic in just two days. I love it! I've read a lot of your other fics and it's just as good as the others, if not better. 1x2 is my favorite pairing, but I like this fic and the pairing doesn't bother me at all. Mostly I just love Duo.

I had that feeling you know? When Duo laughed at what Wufei said. Aren't lauguages you don't understand wonderful? People could be smiling at you while saying the most awful things and you'd never be the wiser. That was an awfully cute scene though, I wish I could've really watched Wufei and Duo going for a twirl. Honey cakes you sure love to tease us with your cut-offs! I eagerly await for more.
