Sesshoumaru, after centuries of mourning Rin and Jaken, hunting and exterminating his own kind that he deemed dangerous, is colder and more emotionally barren than ever. Still, keeping Rin's momento, a monument of his heart however small it may be, shows that he can still care. It's just buried under the dust of ages gone by. Maybe seeing his brother and InuYasha's companions, will remind him that it doesn't have to be that way. He would remember and honor Rin's memory better if he could emulate, even just a little bit, her open and trusting mannor. Was she not happy? Was she not content to follow him wherever he led? He was blessed by Rin and Jaken's unswerving loyalty and love (yes, love; Jaken is the biggest fangirl -LOL-) and deep down he knows it. Why else would he wear such a shining memorandum? I have hope for him. -- Way to go, nicely done!
