At times, particularly after Freiza, I bet even the most loyal readers got tired of enemy after enemy, battle after battle. Bulma's various proposed solutions would have been efficient, logical, and saved lots and lots of trouble; the manga taught the kids wrong there--fighting is not always the best solution to a problem, unlike what Goku and Vegeta like to believe. Poor Yamcha, somehow, you've turned into him girl's-best-friend-Mr-Downtrodden-Nice-Guy. I have real sympathy and respect for the man now. Speaking of which, what in the world ever happened to the schizophrenic chick from way back...?

Reviewed By: Cal-Reflector [MediaMiner Member] On: November 16, 2005 02:39 EST Comment/Review: So that's how it came about... Vegeta's most significant ascension in his life came from loathing for himself and outrage at the disappointments in his life? I can see it happening. I just realized that you wrote this fic fairly recently, in the year 2005! Astounding; I had expected most Dragon Ball fics to be ancient due to the antiquity of the show and manga itself.

Dang, how could I have forgotten, though he falls into total obscurity later on, Yamcha was one of the main characters earlier on, waaaaaaay back then, back when the mangaka intended to end Dragon Ball as a 20-30 chapter story. Ahh... the nostalgia. This is truly, truly excellent stuff.

What could you possibly be planning for poor Wolfie?? What of the lovely but busy nurse Robin?? And will Yamucha go out with Miaka? These questions must be answered and many more.....

Reviewed By: autumn [MediaMiner Member] On: August 10, 2005 00:32 EDT Comment/Review: I just love all the subtle depth you give the characters. Yamcha reflecting on Trunks and Bulma's goings-on with that hint of bitterness. Vegeta wanting to see Bulma but never willing to admit it. "Vegeta didn't even notice that he waited until the ramp was lifted and Dr. Briefs was out of sight before tossing the basket and photo across the room." -- I thought that line was great! There's that side of him that he isn't even aware of that maybe, somewhat, actually cares about these people, and there's that other side that rebels and says to hell with them and I don't give a damn about that kid! I think it's interesting, him taking off to space again. I don't know that I've ever seen that done in a fanfic but it actually makes perfect sense, I mean, he wouldn't want to train on Earth and risk revealing his new powers before he's ready. Of course, I will miss the interaction between him & Bulma, but she's got her own plot line going on that I'm intersted in! Looking forward to next update as always.

Reviewed By: roseofvegeta [MediaMiner Member] On: August 08, 2005 09:31 EDT Comment/Review: Ok, bear with me. I haven't been sleeping well so my review may be below par. I like the aspects of seeing Vegeta's and Yamcha's thoughts. Especially when Vegeta saw the newborn pic and Yamcha thought of Trunks wearing the orange gi but said "he's not my kid". Those were good moments. Keep it up.

Title: JOY! Reviewed By: Gohans_Onna [MediaMiner Member] On: August 07, 2005 17:58 EDT Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Yay, I can finally log in. I promised myself (since I read this last night) that I would review this chapter as soon as I could log in. Great job btw! And since I know that you love everyone telling you about any corrections that should be made, I was wondering about this: Bulma fingered through the pages. Dr. Gero had been a household world since as long as she could remember-- Did you mean WORD instead of WORLD? Just wondering. I think that's what you meant, lol. Can't wait for the next update!!!!!!!!

Reviewed By: autumn [MediaMiner Member] On: August 06, 2005 22:41 EDT Comment/Review: (This is for Chapter 26 since I haven't read the new one yet) That chapter was fun! I liked the idea of a restless Vegeta just trying to kill time by the side of the pool -- and then diving in to avoid Bulma's mother LOL! And even though I know that ultimately Bulma will not be able to stop the androids from coming, I still enjoy her sub-plot. I mean, yeah, it's totally logical that she would have been doing SOMETHING in those three years. She's too headstrong to just back off of her idea because the others said so. It's an interesting spin on the 3-yr plot. Enjoying the story as always -- excited to see another chapter is up!

Reviewed By: mischief maker [MediaMiner Member] On: August 06, 2005 18:16 EDT Comment/Review: Love the interaction between Vegeta and Dr Briefs. Very realistic. The Yamcha moments were great, too. Not my kid. *sigh* He seems to have made peace with all of it at least. He's babysitting Vegeta's son. That would be awkward to explain to people, I think. I'm rambling and probably not making much sense at the moment. Great chapter!!

Reviewed By: MelizaMac [MediaMiner Member] On: August 06, 2005 01:44 EDT Comment/Review: Poor Vegeta - will he ever understand Dr. or Mrs. Briefs? It sounded like such a 'normal' conversation before a short trip. "Oh, I packed your favorite suits, threw in a few snacks and a new bottle of shampoo." The picture was precious. Too bad it seemed to be a bit too much for Vegeta to handle... I've said it before and I'll say it again - what is Wolfie really up to? Bulma doesn't need to ignore those bad vibes. Yamcha seems like a good nanny - as long as Trunks stays asleep! :) "Wolffang fist" - I'm probably just too tired, but it was so close to Wolfie's name that I had to laugh. OK, I'll go to bed now. Yes, yes, I'm still loving it!
