(Please forgive my spelling and that I'm being a kimono-nazi) Uchikake is a wedding robe, not something you wear for court functions. If anything, she would be wearing a furisode. You might be thinking of something similar to what the Nothing Woman wore when she looked like Inuyasha's mother. That is what is called a 12-layer kimono and that was worn during the Heien era by ladies of the court. A youkai court most likely would not follow the dress code of a human court. They would probably have things that could be fought in at the drop of a hat or something. Plus, an uchikake is VERY heavy, around 8-12 pounds. Not something you would put on a person who is still recovering from a nasty battle. I like the story though, keep up the good work.
