Come just a little bit deaper into the world we live in, the darkened corners of our society dominated by big game hunters and privet zoo owners. A world where Nature's most shocking secrets are kept. A world where the most bizare creatures can be captured, killed, or sold.
Such a creature is Ildri, who is about to become one of the many items on the market. Sold to a wealthy gamer he and his unhatched egg are carted away to a large "nature presurve" where he meets the shady wolf hybrid, Devlin. Devlin "the half wolf" has tried for years to escape the clutches of their dear owner, and when Ildri arrives at the presurve his need for freedom becomes all the more persistant, because the gamer has a secret, one that he'll kill to keep.
As the sinister past winds itself tighter around the present Ildri must struggle to uncover the tragic history between the gamer and wolf hybrid, for despite all the warnings, he finds himself attracted to Devlin. A feeling that just might get him killed.
