To give you a run down on the events prior to our little story; Tamahome lost two of his siblings in a demon attack on his village, the other two had been rescued by Nuriko while Tasuki and Tamahome fought off the beasts. Not long after the demons were driven out, a girl by the name of ‘Ji-hime’ was brought onto the scene. Though no one knew, she was Miboshi of the Seiryuu seishi. She had chosen Tamahome as her pet, and decided to blind him to her evil-doings. Later on, they had come to the palace and a summoning of Suzaku was attempted. Ji somehow found a way to trap Suzaku within her. Miaka was taken, and demons were unleashed on the palace. Tamahome’s remaining siblings- Yuiren and Chuei (both of whom Tasuki had been crazy for)- were torn to shreds. This is the aftermath...
