At the end of the battle with the Hellmaster Phibrizzo, Lina didnt come back like she had in the series. Instead, the Lord of Nightmares made a deal with her to start a new life and Lina took it. However... the catch is that Lina wouldnt remember a thing that has anything to do with Gourry (since she knew that he loves Sylphiel instead and wanted to forget him) and so she doesnt remember anybody else that knew Gourry. But the other thing that the LoN added in to make it all the more fun was that.... Lina Inverse is trapped in the body of Kinomoto Sakura.
