Yugi's cousin Haruka is your average 11-year-old gamer. Or at least she is until she recives a Strange Brooch for her birthday with a three thousand year old 'uninvitded guest' attached.
Now she finds herself on a wild adventure where she and two other girls have to discover the secert behind the Rouge Items while trying to survive the the Gameland Duel Monsters Tournament. It doesn't help of course that the host of the tournament wants Haruka dead.
