Wanting to cover as much ground as possible, Kagome carried the burden of both her quiver and her backpack, while Inuyasha carried her, as they ran through the woods at top speed. There was no way they could make it back to Kaede's before nightfall, but they still wanted to travel as far as they could before being forced to stop for the night.
