| Biography: | I'm a 40-something single woman who has recently re-discovered the world of Japanese anime (very recently--I only started watching again in 2003). I grew up watching older anime shows, such as "Speed Racer," "Battle of the Planets," and "Star Blazers." I've worked as a professional editor for the past twenty years.
I love to read/write fantasy stories, but now I've begun to venture into the realm of fan fiction. In my spare time, I love to sing. I currently sing with my church choir, and I've performed my own shows in cabaret clubs.
My favorite books are Tolkien's Lord of the Rings (I did my thesis on LOTR), but I will never write fan-fics for LOTR. Tolkien is the Master, and I will never mess with the Master. I'm also a big fan of Anne McCaffrey, Katherine Kurtz, Janny Wurts, Carol Berg, Terry Brooks, and Robert Jordan.
My favorite tv shows are "Star Trek-Next Generation," "The X Files," "Babylon 5," "SG-1," and "The West Wing." My favorite anime is definitely "Rurouni Kenshin," although I'm also a big fan of "Escaflowne," "InuYasha," and "Twelve Kingdoms." |
