| Biography: | I love fanfiction. I love to read it, and sometimes like to write it. My reading preferences range from Pokemon to The Sentinel, and everywhere in between. However, I prefer not to write about anything I'm not an absolute expert on, so my fan writing is so far limited to a few stories. Honestly, I prefer to write original fics. (And if you have any interest those, they're at my website.)
Keep in mind that my policy on pairings is "convince me". Give me a solid background for the pairing (how they got there) and a reasonable justification (why it works), and I'll accept the crackiest pairing in the fandom; don't give them to me, and I'll shake my head at a canon married couple. For that matter, in short fics I'm willing to forego the background and most of the justification as long as the characters are in-character and are behaving as they would believably behave in that relationship.
I'd like to mention now that unless I deliberately state that something is to be continued, it will NOT be. If there isn't some sort of notice that I plan to continue it, then it's a one-shot. And while I may reference details from previous stories in a fic, or use the same original characters, that still doesn't make it a chaptered story.
Not everything I write makes it here. Some of my stories and ficlets are archived only on my livejournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/birdzilla/) and can be found in my memories. They're not put up here for any one of several reasons, but the most usual are because they're silly fics or crack!fic, or because they're gifts for my friends and I don't like putting those gifts up anywhere else. The gifts are the ones likely to be any good, since I try not to give my friends inferior writing. |
