I usually write stories with OCs in them. However, I never pair them up with the canon characters. My OCs are always, always paired with each other. I don't like OCs/Mary-sues with canon characters. Makes me wanna go a destroy something. Perferably, set something on fire.
Okay. I'm strangely intrigued on the Yu Yu Hakusho/Inu-Yasha crossovers in which Hiei or Kurama is paired up with Kagome. I'm not dissing anyone who supports this pairing (I'm a strong believer that everyone's entitled to their own opinions) but...it seems pretty obvious that Kagome's with Inu-Yasha, not anyone else. I don't like canon pairings (or near canon) broken up just so another character from another show can be together with one of them. I have an exception with Yuusuke/Keiko and Yuusuke/Koenma since I like both those pairings and I got hooked on Yuusuke/Koenma after reading a fanfic about it. Don't remember the title however but it was convincing. Anyway, back to the topic. I understand the whole 'I'm the author(ess) and I can do what I want with my story and who I want the pairings to be' thing but that only works most of the time, not always. Again, I'm not dissing anyone and I'm hoping no one will flame me for this. This is just my ranting so you don't really have to pay attention to it. I'm just sick of seeing so much YYH/IY crossovers in the YYH fandom. It's getting a bit annoying since when I try to read a non-crossover fic, I keep finding YYH/IY fanfics nearly everywhere and so, it's a bit hard for me to find the stories I wanna read. -sighs- Please don't flame me for this abnormally large paragraph.
