I write stories about childrens' anime set in a grown-up world. I would totally go to the Digital World if given a chance. I like yaoi. I like yuri. I like conflicted pretty boys (who doesn't?). I like girls with agency, whether they're fearless evil assassins or plucky twelve-year-olds. I like taking an absurd premise into the logical world, and seeing what happens in the logical world to make it fit.
I believe that the first difference between a cheap romance and a rich love story is that in a cheap romance, the whole universe revolves around only two people, and this controls the actions of everyone else. A true love story is strong enough that the universe does not need to revolve around the couple; only the narrative seems to.
I write slowly and in fits and starts, but I'll never post a WIP here that I won't finish. |
