| Biography: | I've been into anime since I was a kid: Unico was my 1st intro to the wonderful world of Anime (although I didn't know what Anime was at the time). I was re-introduced to the wonderful world of Anime back in high school after getting a Viz, a RightStuf catologe. I discovered the wonderful world of Fanfiction after being taught how to log onto the internet checking out a link I got from an old classmate. From there...WOW! Exploring! ^_^ Currently the walls of my room is a shrine to Anime.

Current Obsessions:
DANNY PHANTOM: I vaguely remember how I got into this fandom, but I do recall slightly when the Danny Phantom cartoon first aired; I saw the first episode, laughed at the silly if not slightly catching opening theme song. I thought that this cartoon had potential, that it was better then the Fairly Oddparents (even if it was created by the same guy)..hmmm, that's about it. I caught a few more early episodes from the first season before I totally forgot about it until about 2 or 3 months ago. I think I was looking for a new fandom to get into and rediscovered the long forgotten Danny Phantom. I adore Danny Fenton; he's an unlikely hero but he takes to it so well. I like that he's shy, snarky (esp. when as Phantom), a little shallow (Hey @ 14 who wasn't a little shallow at that age. I'll admit that I was.), sarcastic, brave and above all loyal; even if his 2 best friends Sam and Tucker don't deserve his loyalty, and his parents, who hunt down his Phantom self with as much enthusiasm and prejudice as a pair of Nazis. Yeah, they're that bad. They firmly believe that anything with a drop of ectoplasim deserves to be hunted down and destroyed. Then there is Vladimir Masters aka Vlad Plasmius. Danny's ultimate enemy and rival and fellow half ghost. Vlad Masters is a rightious bastard, and I adore and dispise him @ the same time for it. I LOVE the fact that Vlad wants Danny as his son and most of his plots involve trying to coax Danny to his side. Saddly by the time season 3 rolls around, that's not the case anymore b/c of new writers to the show. Any Vlad Masters fans will tell you season 3 Vlad Masters is total bullcrap.

XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN: More importantly Jack Spicer and Chase Young, although Jack is my boy. I adore Jack Spicer as much as I adore Sokka. I recall catching a few episodes of Xiaolin Showdown when it still aired on Cartoon Network. I saw 1 epi. with Jack Spicer and remembering thinking OMG! What a total nerd! I LOVE him! I saw an epi. w/ Chase Young and thought Whoa. Hottie! I understand that the show got canceled after 3 seasons and only season 1 is on DVD, which is too bad b/c Chase Young isn't intoduced as the main villain until the 2nd season. Oh, did I mention that I adore pairing Jack and Chase together? Check out fanfiction.net if you wanna read some fics between 'em.
AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER: I didn't become a fan of this show until a while ago. I caught the last 2 episodes of the series and I was blown away at how quickly I became attached the the characters. I want Aang for my little bro, Kataara as my little sis, I LOVE Sokka and Zuko...I just wanna see him shirtless all the time. Even with the scar...damn! And yeah, I've gone down the boy-love slash road for this series, which I honestly didn't think I would but my sis introduced me to Zukka (Zuko/Sokka pairing). I gotta say, it clicked. I've found some great fanfics and fanart, and AMVs at youtube. I think Sokka's one of the better characters (I've yet to be intrduced to Toph). He's funny-sarcastic w/out being snippy, has some of the BEST facial expressions and lines. But not only if he a goof, but he's smart, he's loyal to his friends and family, he's willing to fight for what he believes in. Sokka was even willing to take on a whole ship of Firenation firebenders and their prince Zuko with hardly any training but with enough heart and guts that you can't help but root for the guy (even though Zuko totally knocks Sokka to the ground. Though Sokka gets Zuko back later and delivers one of his amusing lines). Yeah, Sokka is my fave of the show; he's the much needed humor and heart of the show that keeps it from being too boring or too serious. I think that the 2 creators really work alot of their sense of humor through Sokka.
INVADER ZIM: Oh my god! I ADORE Zim! He's like my inner child...if my inner child were a green-skined, red-eyed, hyper-actived, bent on conquering and enslaving humanity little alien. Yeah. And Dib. Love him, too. Too bad he doesn't connect with anybody from his town (I swear it's something in the water ~ doesn't effect Dib 'cause he's immune 'cause he's a clone made by his dad). That's actually revealed during an interview from the DVD boxset. The clone thing, I mean. I'm just guessing about the immune thing.
NARUTO: Naruto still rocks. This anime/manga made being a ninja cool again. That and Naruto himself is an awesome character. I'd like to have him as a friend. |
