Biography: | Hey! My name is Inbred Suzy. I live in the United States, and I'm a total anime fan! Especially Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Kenshin, and Slayers and it doesn't end there, of course. I just got interested in fan fiction in the fall of 2003, I have completed them, and moved on to write more, as you see below.
AN: EDIT 7/17/15= Recession Blues
Here's the thing, this story, as I've just come to realize, is quite the story. It started out with just a simple premise. Years ago, while writing the first four chapters, I did not notice the plot holes that already existed. I have since written six more chapters (I'm working on Chapter 10 now,) and it is no longer the same, simple romance I was working on years ago. It has grown into a complicated, dark, action-packed romance that brings about new questions.
The first question stems from the first episode. If the jewel was burned with Kikyo's body after her death, how did it reform within Kagome as a jewel, and Kikyo herself after resurrection wasn't imbued with the jewel within her body amongst the ashes used to resurrect her?
The second question, is if this were the case, how would the jewel dust be extracted if it were known this was the case?
And if the extraction were to happen, would Kikyo have survived?
Also, if Kikyo were to die, would the dust come back with each reincarnation?
Yeah, these are the questions that came about, and are in the process of being answered in this story. And here, it started out with the simplest of premises-Inuyasha is there, for some reason, surrounded in mystery. He opens door, Kagome trips, and he makes the promise to help her as long as she's injured and wants to beat Ninja Warrior. Yeah, re-reading through the earlier chapters caused me to ask questions I never thought I'd ask.
I have to admit, though, while I was originally writing Recession Blues years ago, I was mainly focusing on the Recession, and it had a personal touch to it in the sense that Kagome was suffering through things I was going through, and I am no longer in that place since things have changed dramatically for me over the past five or so years. I'm going through the same thing with my original novel I plan to finish and publish. I'm finding I have to start that one from scratch and do some research, and character development to make it flow better.
Going through college these past four years has really helped me see where I'm going, and who I am as a writer. I now have a job that allows me to write as I work, and I find myself creatively exhausted when I go home every night. This, I believe, is a writer's dream. Recession Blues may very well receive a title change, just as my life has dramatically changed, and the light is at the end of the tunnel, so to speak.
So, please be patient with me, as I know the new version of Recession Blues will be much more dynamic, and entertaining than the original direction. It will take a bit more time to get this story finished, and edited than expected, but at least I'm on the ball once again.
So, stay tuned, and I thank you all for your patience ;P |
