I think that this is great. I am so glad you gave Yamcha a nice girl and at the same time, didn't make him to be a total cheater. And the way Bulma described the Vegita situation at the end was great. Awesome story!!!

I've never believed any of those fics that bash Yamcha, he's way too nice in the series to see that. Unless of course it's an A/U then there's an exception, but yeah I like how it was a good break up. It was also very well written.

Great interaction and realistic portrayal! ^_~ I am a B/Ver and no I do not think Yamucha is abusive, drunk, etc....But Mirai Trunks said he was something of a playboy, thats where the cheating fics, come in girls, because of what Mirai Trunks says....but I wonder if thats what Mirai Bulma most likely told him. I don't mind Yamucha cheating fics because of what Mirai Trunks states and Yamucha reactions (semi scared, semi drooly to other pretty girls). And the Vegeta is going to kill you thing, that would be a typical reaction from anyone, Vegeta practically ordered Yamuchas and the others deaths.....Vegeta was indirectly responsible for their deaths so.....that aint to cliche to me.....Great Job Lisa! Keep it up! Bura400.....sorry for getting rambly...hehe

Let's continue: (...)Other point is that, well, can help but feeling disapointed at Yamcha's speech about Vegeta. No offense, but in almost every fic I read he says Vegeta's-a-monster-who -milled-millions-and-thus-he'll-kill-you-Bulma-yadda-yadda. Sorry about saying that but, man, that looks like a sort of instantaneous formula ready for use, if you see what I mean.

I belong to the fan group that's sick of the description of Yamcha as a non-commital cheater and want to see him portraited as human being; and I think you did that well. I liked the way you showed his point of view, and how his interests are different from Bulma's. However, can't help but thinking that you picked a little too much on Bulma. She is really annoying sometimes, and self-centered indeed; but I don't think that she's aaaas concerned with high society as many fanfics let know. Actually, despite the fancy environment where she was raised and her taste for fashion, she's not the hungry-for-position type. Deep down, I believe that having to go to those meetings with shareholders and snobbish, raising-nose vixens must be also boring for her, and that she'd gleefully exchange all that for a barbecue with her real friends. It's sad that most of good Yamcha's fics portrait Bulma as an almost-villainess. By other turn, I like the way they met in the end as friends, it sounds very mature. It makes sense, too, since despite everything Bulma and Yamcha have remained good friends, as we can see at Buu Saga. I guess that whatever love they shared must have been faded within the years; probably they never really got married because they knew unconsciously that never would work. ;) Other point is that, well, can help but feeling disapointed at Yamcha's speech about Vegeta. No offense, but in almost every fic I read he says Vegeta | Reviewed By: Denmark de la Croix [MediaMiner Member] On: June 11, 2004 20:04 CDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 9 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 9 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 9 of 10 Overall Rating: 9 of 10 Comment/Review: very nicely done. i've nearly decided that i don't really like bulma very much and this helps to convince me. even though you do draw her sympathetically in the end. in fact even that rather quick change of heart seems realistic to the image i've gotten of her. she seems like a crazy b**** to me. i'm thinking she might be a gemini. you really seem to like yamcha, and have a good grasp of why he responds the way he does. and that causes me to like him as well. i think maybe a bit of physical description of him would have been nice. the one comment from coral about his eyes, and his reaction to that really peaked my interest. i might be starting to get a crush. a vulnerable baseball player. yum. thanks. i enjoyed that.

This was very believeable. I liked the interactions between Bulma and Yamucha. It was a very refreshing change. I also appreciate the fact that you gave him a backbone and a reason to be proud in his work.

It is such a believable account of the break-up. Bulma is completely in character. Yamcha's thoughts about Bulma's domination of him ring so true. Excellent job!

It would be great if you decide to continue it; maybe focus on Yamcha and Coral's relationship. Your depiction of both relationships (Y/B, Y/C) was well-thought and highly believable. Great job Kiddo!

I like the whole naturalness and orginality of this break-up--even tho I always imagined there was more bittersweetness and pain involved (but not as much as most fics give--!) Your talent is that you make me buy your whole story, believe it from the first exchange in front of the ball game to Bulma's confession about V. Nice writing, lovely characterizations! your fan, debbiechan

Is it legal to be a B/Ver and not think Yamucha is an abusive, drunken yob?? Well, count me in as a fellow criminal... :D I've lost count of the times I've started to read a promising looking B/V fic, and had to give up because the author has no clue about Yamucha and his character... :( A well written, nicely balanced fic - I applaud you!! :D ... You know - there's scope to continue with this...
