Comment/Review:
A lovely, epic style of writing. You've really managed to capture the feel of the battlescene; the visuals seem to almost come alive. However, though your imagery is vivid, your narration could do with a bit of tweaking. You've used commas to join sentences "killed everything they saw, we tried to talk with them" where perhaps it would sound more forceful (and correct) if you split them completely. It would be a good idea to read over and see if the ideas you are linking are really linked, or where perhaps using "and" "but" etc. would express the idea more lucidly. Then again, there are places "a roar of approval from the crowd, chains are shaken, guns are fired" where this rule doesn't really apply, because it enhances the sense of urgency. Another thing that detracted me from the story was the switching of the tenses. It is usually advised that authors stick to one tense throughout the whole story, because the tense change creates a shift that distracts the reader. Other than that, I enjoyed reading your story. The Shakespearian enhances the grandiose scene, and there are these poetic lines like "alien and human they fall like the drops of blood that cover the field of battle on which we stood"taht make this one-shot such a visual feast.

First off, thanks for the review. Second, I love Last Samurai too!! Third i really like the way you stuck to a one shot. A story like this could go into a huge number of chapters, but keeping it in a single and short story allows the reader to understand the brevity of the battle. That aspect then more appropriatly expresses the futility of the battle. Good form. There were a few spelling errors, but nothing massive. Also, the alien generals quoting of Shakespeare was a bit much; it briefly removed me from the atmosphere of the story. Overall I really liked this fic and look forward to reading other Teen Titans stories from you. Again, I greatly appretiate the glowing review.
