Reviewed By: Fanilia [MediaMiner Member] On: November 08, 2002 22:09 Comment/Review: The style is very different and very good. I like the tones of purple and the lack of detail in the eyes is haunting. My only suggestion would be to change the title, it doesn't do justice to the work. | Title: ARG Reviewed By: Meghanna_Starsong [MediaMiner Member] On: November 06, 2002 19:27 Comment/Review: you've done wonderfully with your coloring. this has a really dramatic, melancholly feel to it. i like that...a great deal. however, three things i feel the need to point out. first off...what's with her eyes? where are the irises...the pupils? it's really strange to be looking at a girl with white opaque eyes. second, go back over the highlights in her hair. they don't quite blend in with the mid and dark tones. it's almost like they are just dabs of white paint randomly put anywhere. third, nice coloring on the skin tones, fabric, and wood grain. over all, a very interesting picture. | Title: ARG Reviewed By: SunnyLin [MediaMiner Member] On: November 03, 2002 11:49 Comment/Review: i guess since you've already done all that, th eonly other things i can mention would be the finger and the hair. i think the finger part that is pushed to teh window there is a bit too whtie. if you want to show pressure on the glass and all that, i would make it a darker shade of white and start the white a bit later. right now it looks like her finger just froze when she touched the glass. another comment on her hair, its very spotchy with the highlights, unlike usual styles, your hair seems uneven and rugged. i like it, but i would still tone down on the highglights. i would taper the whites to a point, blend them in more with the hair, and possibly make them thinner too. just another suggestion, add more shadow to the covered side of her face, or cut down on that shadow behind her nose. it makes her nose look huge and unbalanced. this is really really awesome! really really awesome! woow! hehe, awesome :) | Title: A.R.G. The eyes are very dynamic and the piece is perfectly creepy. Overall a very nice piece *especially for just dickin' around* :) | Title: Arg Reviewed By: Destiny [MediaMiner Member] On: November 02, 2002 20:10 Comment/Review: Marvelous work, just maybe use the smudge brush on some of those highlights. I actually like the eyes without pupils it adds to the overall eerie mood. Very nice job working in that color scheme and still making it appear realistic. Very nice work on the coloring as well it hardly looks like you even did it in a cging program. Overall a wonderful piece of work. The hair looks a bit dread-lock ish. Really nice monochromatic color scheme. Maybe blend the glare on the window a bit. I like the window panels, and the wood look. Was this scanned or drawn witha mouse? If it was done with a mouse, it's really good. Also, really nice finger pressed up against the window. Good job for just playing around. |
