Well then. Get ready for some serious criticism. (Both bad and good) I'll start with the good: 1. I love her long hair. 2. I really want that shirt. 3. Those doggy print tattoos are cute! Okay, now for the not-so-good: 1. Her face is kind of out of proportion, and I can barely see her mouth. It is a good thing in life to have a mouth. 2. You kind of forgot 'her' right leg. It should be visible after it goes behind the left leg, but it's not there. (that happened in one of my manga books...Chiho Saito completely forgot about Utena's other arm...and you probably have no idea who Chiho Saito is, but whatev.) 3. I know that the "big hips, small waist" is your style, but - and I am NOT, I repeat NOT, trying to offend you here - it makes Kagome look kinda - okay, quite - screwed up. I mean, she goes from big bust to teeny tiny waist to huge hips. That is just so out of proportion, it's like the Kagome version of Barbie!! (And I do NOT mean that in a bad way!!) Don't worry, I know that pretty much NOBODY ON THIS PLANET can draw Kagome just like Rumiko Takahashi can, that it's your own style, and I accept that. Even though - and a lot BECAUSE - she looks almost nothing like she does on TV, I still think that it's a very good picture. And I just realized that she has an almost hourglass body shape, which I do NOT think is healthy in girls. Not that she looks anorexic - the huge hips and bust prove that she is most definately not -, it's just that a waist so tiny couldn't really hold much in - so I guess that'd make her a bit bulimic or something. I'd rather not spend mindless hours writing about health issues in a artwork review on MediaMiner.org, so yeah. I probably couldn't get much better than that, so I really shouldn't be criticizing *sp? (My sister, on the other hand...) Hey, and I like the jeans!!

I like it but it would look alot better if you added her other leg, so you could see it, it sorta looks like she only has one leg. |

Nice! Maybe it's your style to make the waist go in so far, but I just wanted to say that they seem to make her look kinda anorexic (sp?). Err XP; It's okay if that's the way you draw figures, but I just wanted to say that ^^;. Nice furturistic version of Kagome! It's certainly a turnaround from her usual school-girly self though ^.^! Nice coloring! |
