The folds in his pants are a little random, or maybe he needs to use mor fabric softener (bad joke :P) Ooh and I also likethe tail behind the broom. Not much to suggest, really. It looks great. | Title: ARG! Reviewed By: corynth [MediaMiner Member] On: November 15, 2002 10:01 Comment/Review: How cute! I like the way you depicted Harry in your own style. They details on the clothes are very well done (nice ribs on the sweater!). The gold shimmer on his clothes is a great touch, but I think that the way you shaded his cloak is too patterned & organized. I think the biggest problem with this piece is that its composition isn't very catching. I think that it needs large objects in it... variety of size stuff. That's pretty much the reason why so many landscapes are grounded with this huge tree off to one of the sides in the foreground... variety of size and it serves as an anchor for the entire picture. The castle could possibly balance that if it were more solid and a bit larger. | Title: A.R.G. Comment/Review: My first thought when this pic loaded: "Whoa, that's one really big sun." ^_^; It is a tad big, even for a setting/rising sun. It also (because of the size and color intensity) detracts from the main focus of the picture, Harry. I love the rest of the simplistic background, including the castle. The line art is pretty good - I would have done the outline of his mouth in the same hue you used for his nose and chin, however. I don't usually go for the oval-face look, personally, but it works with the style you've set for yourself. The color scheme you set up is bold and lively, and I personally love putting Harry in both red and green - they not only compliment each other well, but I see Harry as being as Slytherin and he is Gryffindor at times. ~_^ The line on his upraised hand bothers me a little bit - it tends to give the illusion that his palm is very plush, and I've never pictured him that way. That's a matter of speculation to an extent - I don't believe it's ever said in the books. I like the leaves and magic dust effect, but the spot use of the magic dust on his cloak kind of disillusions it a bit - I would have gone with either none at all or the classic "anime sparkle" in which case you would generate a "magical sheen" look to him. Lens flares I could take 'em or leave 'em - I use them myself, off and on, but I would definitely take out the one that's over the bristles of his broom and replaced them with a slight glittery sheen. I like how you signed it with a Potter-esque font/lettering; it adds that extra little touch to the picture. Overall, a good looking pic with small room for improvements. :) | Reviewed By: SykoPants [MediaMiner Member] On: November 14, 2002 03:54 Comment/Review: whee its harry potter on his broom! can't wait for the movie to come out! *cough* sorry about that. k so suggestions, i would get rid of that sprinkled highlighting effect u did on harry's cape and sleeves, it stand out too much. i like how u did the highlighting on his feet hands and broom tho, very consistent w/ the sunlight! and the leaves r a nice touch! just work on his anatomy and perception, becuz of the shading, the ryte leg looks bigger and longer than the other leg instead of looking like its closer which is, i'm guessing?, the effect u were going for. well this is a really fun picture, and the i think the whole thing was put together very well! | Title: Arg Reviewed By: Destiny [MediaMiner Member] On: November 13, 2002 18:06 Comment/Review: Very nicely done, however the raised right hand needs some refinement also the bold outline around his teeth makes it look like he has black lipstick on, try thinning it out and making sure that it coincides with the rest of the picture. Very nice work with the shading and the folds on the clothes. The stardust trail is a very nice touch as well as the spray of leaves too and fro. Overall very nicely done Destiny | Title: NOTE FROM THE ARTIST Reviewed By: daywalker [MediaMiner Member] On: November 12, 2002 04:11 Comment/Review: ok so i dont remember the color of harry's eyes...i lost my harry potter books somewhere...maybe i gave them to someone and now i dont remember to whom....anyways...i just assumed them to be brown....i think they r green, are they? :S i dont remember | Reviewed By: Shmivv [MediaMiner Member] On: November 12, 2002 03:20 Comment/Review: Wow, that looks like a book cover!
