Comment/Review: This is a cool style you used. I really like the effect. Everyone pretty much covered everything, though. Although I will say that Nick's face looks a little chubbier here than in his other pics. But I really like this whole thing, I think it is really cool and original.

Comment/Review: SW33T! X-MEN!!! Oh wait... LOL Anyway, this was a good use of the pose and feel - your characters look great here. Again, your realism style is really working for you, especially for this series of characters. The depth of the darkness and glints of highlights really make this pic stand out boldly.

Title: A.R.G. Me! Reviewed By: Fanilia [MediaMiner Member] On: October 07, 2003 00:19 Comment/Review: I remember when you did this. Its hard to review with most everything covered in the other reviews. (teach me to be so late) The only things I see that strike me as off are Brians (I'm taking MissE's lead here and calling the back character Brian) This jaw seems slightly off. And Nicks one eye has blue in it that isn't shown at all in the other eye. All in All its a great take off of the movie poster. I enjoyed seeing it again. Fanilia

Comment/Review: LMAO!! This is great! I'm not sure who Nick and Brian are, but it looks really funny! Brian is the one with glasses, right? Well his lips are done very well. Nice little outer glow filter going on. Two very small areas of improvement: 1) the camouflage on Brian's face looks too much like the shading style on Nick's face. Maybe define it a little better by using less contrast & saturation in those areas. Maybe I'm just confused and it's supposed to be dirt and grass stains? 2) The heads are a little too big for their bodies, it makes them look sort of like children. Other than those two points the picture is fabulous. I always like your style! *Thumbs up! Yeah!*

Title: ARG! Matey! Reviewed By: bratkitty [MediaMiner Member] On: October 06, 2003 16:38 Comment/Review: I love pics that are spoofed off of stuff like movie posters. Nick looks a lot like Wolverine here. The hair and the light source are well done. The faces are nicely done as far as realism goes, but it looks like they're on chibi bodies. Their bodies seem kind of small for their heads. Perhaps broadening their shoulders would help. Also why's the green on his face? It looks like you started to play around with lighting, but stopped. I'm not totally sure if you were going for the light thing or not, but if so, I'd have it cast on both their faces. A lot of times, having one isolated color in a pic isn't really good for a color scheme. It looks abrupt. Try finding ways to work that shade of green throughout the pic, and it will flow a lot better. I hate to sound like I'm harping on one detail, but stuff like that sticks out like a sore thumb to me ^^; Anyway it would look good without the green, too. e-X-cellent (sorry for the bad pun) job!

Comment/Review: I love the X-men so this is easily idenitified. Can't fault you for reusing such cool poses and you did a really nice job of recreating the colours and shine on the leather and all. Some of the lines aren't as smooth as they could be but that's all right -- I still really like this piece. Bravo!
