I've played with Oekaki and it is HARD. It takes a lot of patience, that's all I know! LOL Coloring fits well. I like the energy ball quite a bit. Body proportions aren't too bad, but the clavical area could use a little work. (Collar bone, sternum, etc) It simply lacks shape, which is an easy fix. But your sense of proportion is actually very good.

The energy in this piece is good! The overall look shows action and power. The ear on the far side of her face should be hidden; it sticks out as a kind of obvious point. The other main point I noticed was the shading on and around the yellow tie - even though it's partially eclipsed by the energy ball, it still needs shading - in fact, it needs MORE shading than the rest, because the highlights and shadows behind such a powerful light source are going to be very dramatic. The flow of this in general works well though, and the murky blue background compliments the character. :)

Well it's harder to judge an oekaki drawing than it is a hand drawn pic, but for an oekaki it is a really good job. The hands are really impressive, I can imagine that took a lot of patience. For the most part, the proportions are good. Her neck is a little too long though. It makes her head seem a bit detatched from her body. Also I think you may have put too much space in her forehead. It seems a *tad* big. You have all this great shading everywhere else, except for her bandana and the yellow tie in the front of her shirt. Also just a little bit on her left arm (oru right) would help as well. But you did an excellent job with the lighting overall. It looks very believeable. And excellent for an oekaki, this must have took a lot of patience. ^_^ Good job!

I'm not an oekaki artist so I wont review your piece on technique. I like the energy ball and how it seems to have no solid form. The effect translates to the background too. It seems to vibrate with energy. My only suggestions would be on the lack of shading on the bandana and the tie on her blouse. Also the position and bandana, clothing suggest motion but the hair falls at the sides in chunks. some hair flying out behind would have made it look more in tune with the rest . Overall Its a great piece, the colors outstanding and well I enjoyed viewing it. Fanilia

As a fellow oekaki artist, I can't imagine how long this must've taken you. If I did it, it would take me a good few hours [yes, I am VERY slow XD]. The energy she's gathering up looks very impressive. The highlights on her hair is a different though. You used cel-style shading for the rest of the picture but not for that. It's a good idea to stick to one colouring style [it's possible to combine two different styles but there are a few rules... ]. There seems to be no shading on her bandana which makes it look a tad flat. Also, her ear [on the left hand side of the piccie] shouldn't show because... well, it's hidden! Look at a few pictures and you will find that when the head is tilted that way, the ear does not show. The outline is very clean, well done on that and the background is very cool. How on earth did you do that?! I'm not exactly the type of person who spends too much time on backgrounds so I don't have a clue how you did that. XD Anyway, I would like to see more of your oekaki stuff. Keep it up! :)
