It's still a great attempt! One of the reasons that it probably doesn't look a lot like your personal vision of Remus is because the hairstyle and facial structure of a character in manga is usually what comes to be their defining features. I can see a LOT of Yukito in this one, which makes sense since you said you used a picture of him as a basis. You might want to play around with changing the eye shape, face shape or edges of the hair to help it look more like how you picture Remus. Keep up the good work, and you'll definitely improve! :D
