I think the blue shade was nice choice for the mellow feel of this pic. Kinda makes it sad and quiet. Maybe bring her chin on the left in a little and raise her forehead too a bit. I also think maybe you should darken up the lines a little, even if it's a sketch. Just in certain areas to make parts stick out more. Very nice all in all.

Your sketch is wonderful. Actually you did not need the blue to convey the saddness of her character, you only have to look into her eyes to see it. I think the only thing I see is the left side of her face could be in a little. The angle and placement of her eyes suggests the viewer wouldn't see as much of that side of her face. But very good work Escaflowne is my first and favorite anime.~Fanilia

Thanks, that was the first time I got a complement as a reviewer, :) :). As for this one, no real good tips I'm afraid, she looks bloody great as it is, again the line-work and shading are superb. Looks great on blue background too. I love the eyes, that contrast is just great, and the nose has a nice form, and the lips! ;) Now the following may be taken as subjective because it may just be a style thing. To me at least ,taking into account the narrowness of her hairline to the top of her head and the elevated position of her eyes above the central horizontal line of her face, these features would seem to indicate that we are looking up into her face from a low angle. The continued curvyness of her chin line on her left side of her face and the top of the ear position relative to her eyes however, would indicate that our camera position is straight on, that fact these features don't agree is a little noticeable to me. But that's being bloody picky, and not actually relevant depending on what your trying to do. But it might help, have pity, its hard to review high quality pictures! :) :) Seriously though love the style you have going here. Keep it up.
