Its beautiful if you look past the scan troubles. You might want to try scanning again, placing a piece of white paper between the image and the lid of the scanner. Scann at a high resolution 150 or above (anything above 500 will not give any more detail) and then reduce the size of the final image in a program like photo shop. You can also correct the contrast/balance there to get rid of some of the discoloration. I think with this image you might want to ink it though. The posibilities in it are just too great to leave it as a sketch.~Fanilia

The only major critique I have is also on the wings - I'm kind of a stickler about how wings work and fit on any image. ^_^; The horse is lovely. What program do you use to touch up your images? Many of them have filters that will help remove discoloration from scans. Overall, it's a nice piece.

The anatomy does seem pretty close, and the simple shading suits the picture. This is quite beautiful, lovely work! ~~Amostar~~

How pretty! The shadings, especially of the wings, are just so. I think you did a truly amazing job on this picture. It's deceptively simplistic, and so beautiful.

Nice use of traditional medium, very nice job on antonomy and I like the shading work. I also agree with Biz when I saw the wing's placement, as it looks somewhat awkward. Other than that, nice job. ^^

That is lovely, Your pencil work is of a very good standard, technically nothing to say, though the wings seem to sprout out of the centre of his back instead of the shoulder blades. I know it's a mythical creature but its best to set up all functioning dynamics, because even though the creature doesn't exists people still expect some physical body que's to still hold true, especially when the subject is drawn as realistic as this. i.e wing functionality. It is very, very well done. :)

Beautiful in its simplicity I love the wings especially. The anatomy seems to be right on.... although the hair seems to be a bit long. Great job ^^
