Again great detail, I think what could help is to have some shoulders and neck references on hand the next time, that seems to be the weakest point in the few drawings I've seen, references are great, and while the face is done well, detail has to be given to everything for the picture to stand out.

Very nice. The one eye seems too shadowed, and maybe the hair could have been less rounded and more natural; however, overall, this was a lovely black and white with awesome shadings. (The cheeks seem a little gaunt though, a little sucked in?)

it only posted half of my review. **grrrs**, anyway, as I was saying. The hair. Not going to say much more because it's been said so many times now. The cheeks to me seem a bit dark, but that might just be me. Over all this picture is ok, but just keep picking away at it!

It's already been said about the neck and shoulders, but about where the outfit starts and the neck ends, clothing has a bit of an up lift to it, not much, but it bumps out from the skin. otherwise it either looks like the person in the picture is choking to death because his shirt is too tight, or that the shirt is painted on. Either way is bad. >

I must agree with the other two who have posted before about the neck and shoulders, but I'm not going to explain because they already have. The hair (including facial hair) could use much mroe definition, as mentioned, as well as more constant highlights. Something that hasn't been mentioned yet is his eyes. They are two different sizes. Overall proportions are good, but try to keep eye alignment balanced and even. Good job on the shading style. Keep practising! :3 ~~Amostar~~

Just like Kieri said in the earlier review you just have to work on your neck and shoulders. I like how you did the shading for the face but try to apply the same shading techinque to Snapes' clothes and give a little more definition to the hair. You have the proportions of the face right so your more than halfway there. Overall your protrait making skills are good so kutgw and they will be exceptional. ^_^ Songie

Your overall facial shape is well done, but I think you're having a bit of trouble with the neck and shoulders. If you're looking straight at someone, the width of the neck starts where the earlobe touches the jawbone. Young Snape's neck is too narrow, which (IMHO) has skewed the proportion of his shoulders. His shirt's neckline is also too flat - it would drape over his collarbones and wouldn't be a perfect "V" shape. Good luck, and I hope this helps :-)
