I was even to lazy to finish the background. *drools* I spent the most time on the face (obviously). I wish I had something to reference off of on this one because this read more Image Properties: 1016x1461 143.04 kb View (5) Visitor Reviews |

I also find it somewhat awkward how you parted her hair, i love the style adn colour, but the part I'm not too sure about, it actually looks something like a line of missing hair. But other than that, i find this piece really truly lovely. Good job!

There is a lot off with this, but I beleive you have a good enough eye to see those things yourself. I would say for a run with it peice its not bad. I would suggest that if you were working in layers and just can't get the background, try the motion filter at an angle and then soften it up a bit. When I was learning to do portraits way way back (in paint) The teacher told me that an angle or cross hatch background worked better then a single color when you don't really want the focus on it anyway.~Fanilia

The symmetry of the eyes is a bit off and it throws the image off ever so slightly. Also she appears to have very broad shoulders for a girl, these things can easily be checked in the original sketching face and quickly corrected, because once you start to colour its very unlikely you'll be bothered do make any large changes… still though even with that the image comes across very well, the high quality of detail shows through and the slight discrepancies are easily forgiven, a very pleasing work, you should be very happy with that… I would be ;-)

The shading around the nose and eyes is beautiful, and I *love* the texture on her lips. The rest of the picture looks somewhat rushed, however, and that detracts from all the work put into the face. The most awkward part is the part in her hair. It looks almost like a bald spot because of its thickness. Very nice effort though!
