This piece is rather nicely done. The bright colors really catch my eye, and even with a reference image, it is still drawn rather well. However, the image is rather flat and needs some shading, especially on her kimono and hair. Because the colors are rather bright, it hurts one's eyes to look at those two colors alone, especially right next to each other. Shading this will give this much more depth and effect, something that one should strive for when creating a picture. I also felt the lines needed to be brought out a bit more because they are rather hard to see, though I do have to admit, while rather light, the lines are really crisp and concise. Last, but certainly not least, I felt the single gradient background was kind of bland. I feel that adding an actual scene would make this compostion a bit more well-rounded and nicer to look at. Good job, and keep up the great work!
