Wow. I enjoy. But. . . I KNOW no one is perfectly perportioned, but if the breast that is closer to us (HER right breast) were a little more up and towards her back (you have to be looking at it to uderstand what I'm saying) it's be as perfect as people can get. I love her lips, jewelry great, hair. . . OH MY GOSH! Great! And her eyes look so sad but happy! I love it. ^_^ And the water's wonderful, it looks as if she's on her back, really close to the surface. . .? The markings on her body are awsome. Nice work all together.

I've been reading some of these reviews..and SHEESHTA! I know they might be "professional" critism givers but really, haven't they heard 'to each their own'? Not everybody is the same..Some people have longer torsos, some have different bust shapes and placements, and just ya know, some things aren't going to be PERFECTLY proportioned! but ya know what, i think this picture is as close as one could get!^^ |

Since this is a work of art that includes mythological beings, you're allowed to go haywire with the proportions. So I see nothing wrong with that except for the outstretched hand. Yes it is a mythological creature but perspective should always remain the same. Use the one of the 7 methods of giving your work depth. Objects that are closer are larger than objects further away. The expression on her face is so immaculate it makes her seem a child. Beautiful work here, keep up the great work.

the thing i noticed first off was how well done your cging effect was and the gorgeous colors themselves. very good....nice choice and flow in the movement of the 'water'. wicked skin tones, scales, fins, and jewelry. it's very appealing to the eye. now, constructive criticism...my only gripes about this picture are in the 'creature' herself. you've made her upper torso much too predominant and long. on females, the body flows in soft curves from the shoulders, to the breasts, the ribcage, to the stomach. not as angular as a male's. XD bring her breasts up a bit higher, expand the arms out and enlarge the hands. again, a wonderful drawing...so surreal and heart achingly symbolic. kudos! |

the special effects and cg are amazing. the only things i would suggest doing would to be to make the hand bigger (longer) and to shift the boobs up. the area between the boobs and collar bone is too big, aka. not anatomically corr4ect. unless of course she doesnt follow the human anatomy, cuase then its just great ^.~. |

the CG is great, and all the special effects are nice, the only problem I have is with the drawing it's self. you need to concentrate less on the CG and more on the actual drawing, I mean the dynamics are all off and the proportions aren’t that good either. So in short, you've got the mouse mastered, but now I think you need to grab a pencil and start drawing |

I love the translucent quality of the tail, though on first glance at the pic I thought it was wings. My only suggestion would have been to make the line art of her skin only a very deep blue/black instead to true black.
Overall the quality of the line art,cg and composition is all excellent. |
