Matthew nodded slowly at this. Even if it was in the recesses of her mind it was still real to her. "I am glad that you were able to find some happiness in your trip to Wonderland," he said slowly. He wondered what the Hatter did, or rather what she had the Hatter do. It was hard to imagine that she knew that much about anything sexual; and yet she seemed pleased by the Hatter's actions.
"The Hatter always makes sure my visits are special." Alice remembered her last moments with him. He held her tightly while telling her they would rescue the White Rabbit next time. "But I let down the White Rabbit. He's still waiting for me. And I know he's scared because he's so kind and gentle. He's so innocent and pure. Right now...he's out of place in a world like the new Wonderland."
"Well, maybe on your next visit you will be able to free him," he told her. This new Wonderland. It was still a fantasy land, but since her mind created it, it was now such a twisted place...just as her mind is.
"I have no choice. He has to be free. I need him to help me bring down the Red Queen. I need him and Mr. Cat...but at the moment, Mr. Cat seems to not need me."
He hated indulging her, but she seemed genuinely upset about this. "Perhaps he will learn the error of his ways," he told her. "I find it hard to believe that anyone wouldn't need you."
She looked at him. "Ok, so I'm a little crazy, but that doesn't mean you can lie to me," she said. "The only people that need me are those in Wonderland."
"Well, if that is true then the Cheshire Cat is sure to come to you," he told her.
"He's stubborn and doesn't like asking for help. But he's very smart and sometimes he can be really cruel but in the end he means well. He's always been a loner though. I'm afraid he won't ever come around." She pulled her rabbit to her. "Do you need me, Mr. Hatter?"
"Yes, of course I do," he told her.
She quirked an eyebrow at him. "How so?"
"Now who is the one asking all the questions?"
"I have a right to. It's not like I have anyone else in this world to talk to," she pointed out.
"You seem to prefer talking to Mr. Cat," he replied quickly.
"Only because he doesn't think I'm delusional," she said. "Answer the question."
He smirked at her. "And what makes you think that I'll answer your question?"
She smiled. "Fine, don't answer it. You seem to like the game of pretend so I'll play with you as long as you want me to."
He chuckled at that. "I am not playing pretend," he told her. "It's just that I ask the questions around here. Not the other way around."
"If you don't answer mine, I won't answer yours," she said.
"That's hardly fair. It's my job to ask questions."
"You aren't very good at your job anyways," she shrugged.
"That's not very nice. I happen to think that I do an excellent job of taking care of my patients."
"Cough rape cough cough."
He rolled his eyes at this. "How is the pain?"
She shrugged. "The medication is wearing off a bit so it's a little uncomfortable to sit, but it's bearable."
"Well hopefully in a day or two the pain will be gone completely," he told her.
"Yeah..." she said slowly.
"I will give you another shot tonight so that you will be able to sleep. You just won't be able to run for a while." He tried to make a joke.
"Yeah, where the heck would I run to?"
He shrugged. "I'm not certain. Away from here would be the most obvious choice."
"I would have no where to go. No home," she said. She moved off the bed and looked under it. Reaching, she pulled out the little bottle that said 'Drink me' on it. Sitting back on the bed she handed it to him. "That was beside my bed the night it all happened. I dropped it after I took it."
He looked at the bottle. Bringing it to his nose he sniffed it and winced. "You actually drank this?"
She pointed to the tag on it. "It says to. I thought it was a gift from Mr. Cat. I did ask him to get me that stuff that made me numb earlier that day. I just wanted to get back to Wonderland and whatever that was...it took me there."
"But you don't know if they will or not. For all you know they could turn your insides to mush."
"It's a risk I'm willing to take."
"Fine. But don't blame me if you die from one of these concoctions."
"Trust me, I won't."
"You say that now," he smirked. "But just try not to haunt me if you come back as a ghost."
"I wouldn't haunt you. You're of little fun to me."
He looked up at her. A part of him actually wanted to be hurt by that. "And why is that?"
"You ask a lot of questions and you answer little. You deny the truth and yet you know you are wrong," she said and laid on her bed. "You can't help it though. You're a little mad."
He wasn't going to argue. He was already tired of all arguing. "Yes, maybe I am a little mad," he sighed.
Alice smiled. She sat up and moved to him. "It's ok. I'll keep it a secret," she whispered. Leaning in, she lightly kissed his cheek.
"Why do you do that?" he asked as he looked at her. "Why do you kiss me?"
She pulled back. "If you don't want me to, then say so."
He paused. "It wasn't as if I was complaining," he told her.
"Then why do you let me kiss you? And why do you kiss me on my un-birthday? You are just as much at fault as I am?"
"I didn't say that anyone was at fault," he replied quickly. "I was simply curious as to why you kiss me."
"Why do you let me?" she asked again.
"Because I find it enjoyable," he told her honestly.
She smiled. "I'm a patient, Mr. Hatter. You can get in a lot of trouble."
He shrugged. "It is just kissing. It is not as if we are doing anything more."
"Mr. Cat didn't think it was a good idea."
"It is not a good idea," he agreed.
Alice laughed lightly. "A lot of things aren't good ideas," she said and leaned to him. "Doesn't mean people don't do them," she added before her lips met his.
Why was it that she seemed to enjoy kissing him so much? It was driving him.... No, he didn't even want to think that. It was simply frustrating. His hands went to her face to push her away, but instead he let them stay there as he kissed her. She moved closer to him to deepen the kiss. No matter how much she tried, she couldn't stay made at him. Mostly because he was one of the only people she ever talked to and if she suddenly stopped talking to him, she would only have Mr. Cat. Her hand went to his shirt and lightly placed her hand on his chest while her body slowly inched closer and closer to him. His breath picked up as he felt her move closer. His nibbled on her lips, a soft moan echoing in his throat as her tongue began to snake its way into his mouth. Why was he doing this? Because it felt good? But why.... Because he belonged to her.
Alice pulled at his shirt until he moved on top of her as she fell back on the bed. Her heart worked hard to keep her alive as her pulse picked him. Her body tingled under him, loving the way he tasted and the way he felt on top of her. As he weight pressed against her body, he became acutely aware of the curves of her flesh which were now pressing against him. He fell in between her legs, and he tried to keep his thoughts at bay, but it was growing harder and harder to think as their lips battled each other. Alice broke the kiss to take a few deep breaths, but quickly met his once more to continue. Her legs moved apart a little more so he could be more comfortable. The slight pain between her legs and her backside was obvious, but she ignored it to try and put all her attention on how wonderful his kisses were. A part of her felt she should be scared that Mr. Cat would walk in with her dinner and see them.
Too many thoughts seemed to course through his head as he argued with himself. This was alright, because he was hers and only hers. She was his patient. He shouldn't be doing something like this with his patients. It was Alice, and he belonged to her. It was Alice, and she had just been raped.
He pulled back, his breathing heavy as he looked down at her, his glasses started to fall from his nose. His face flushed. Swallowing hard, he licked his lips. "This can't go any further," he said as he looked down at her.
She looked at him with a flushed face and heavy eyes. Reaching up, she pushed his glasses back from falling. "We can keep it a secret. I won't tell a soul," she promised.
"Making out is one thing," he told her. His hand slid down her body and pressed between her legs. He watched her wince in pain. "But no more will be allowed."
"I'll heal..." she whispered.
"And then? Do you really want me to take your innocence?"
"My innocence is already gone, Mr. Hatter," she pointed out. "We can wait...but...I will eventually heal and you will run out of excuses."
"Do you really want it that badly?”
"No," she said honestly. "I want you that badly."
He stopped as he heard that. "Do you really mean that? Why would you want me so badly?"
She stared at him for a long moment in silence. Her hand pushed his glasses back again he moved his hair from his face. "I don't know."
"Give me an answer," he told her. "And I will consider maybe going further."
She shook her head. "I told you I don't know. I just feel...connected to you," she stated. "And we don't have to go further." She turned her head and looked at the window. The moon was high. "In less than an hour Mr. Cat will be coming in."
He nodded and started to crawl off her. He had to compose himself. His thoughts were becoming clearer. What had he just promised her?
She quickly grabbed him and kept him from moving. "Wait...he won't be here for a bit...we can keep kissing...until my mind becomes fuzzy again..."
He looked down at her, her hands keeping him from moving. Why did it seem like she was beckoning him. Leaning down , he nibbled her neck before kissing her. Alice relaxed her grip as he started kissing her again. Her mouth washed over his, bringing back that perfect feeling she liked so much.
He was enjoying this more than he ever should have. Her flesh tasted sweet, and he found himself kissing her all over. He had to stop. This wasn't proper. He heard the lock on the door being turned. In a flash he was off of her. Straightening his wardrobe, he grabbed his notebook and began jotting down something very quickly. Anything to keep his thoughts clear. He wrote down exactly as he felt at that moment. However, all that he scrawled was one word over and over again. Mad.
Alice’s face was flushed and her breathing was ragged. She didn't have any idea why he left her so quickly until the door opened. Her heart was beating so fast she was sure it echoed in the room, but she didn't move, she just laid there with her body shaking slightly and her face red.
"Sorry to disturb your session, Matthew," Mr. Cat said as he brought in her tray of food. His eyes scanned them both, his lips curving. "I take it that it's been an exciting one."
"Mr. Cat. Will you come with me to my office?" Matthew said. He stood, taking Mr. Cat by the arm and pulling him out the door.
Alice sat up from her bed and quickly took the tray of food from Mr. Cat before he was ushered out of the room. Did Matthew really just call the nurse Mr. Cat to his face? That had never really happened before.
"What is it Matthew dear?" The nurse smirked as Matthew ran his hands through his hair.
"Did you leave this for Alice?" He held up the bottle which Alice had given him.
The nurse shook his head. "No, I didn't," he told him quickly.
"Are you lying?"
"I'm not the one who has something to lie about," he frowned.
Alice looked at her tray. Nothing looked too great but her eye did catch something. On the corner of the tray was a cookie nicely decorated and with pink words on it. "Eat me..." she whispered as she read the cook and picked up the cookie while she stood with the tray in her other hand. She sniffed it, deciding it was fine. Slowly, she bit into and smiled. It was sweet and the frosting was really good. Before she could take another bite, her body stiffened.
Alice's eyes rolled back and her tray fell from her hands, crashing onto the ground. Her body hit the floor, landing in glass and food. Her breathing slowed and slowly, the world around her faded and Wonderland suddenly appeared before her.
"Alice! It's about time you returned!" The Hatter was sitting on a rock which looked strangely like a throne. He caught her in his arms since she looked unsteady. "How are you my Alice? After what those brutish idiots did to you, I've done nothing but worry."
Alice looked at him. It was the first time she entered Wonderland on clear thoughts. She smiled and hugged him. "Mr. Hatter, I never did think you for saving me," she whispered against me. "I'm ok...still a little shaken...but ok."
"Think nothing of it, Alice. You saved yourself." He sat her down. She was okay. Therefore she must be okay. He motioned to the large gothic style asylum behind him. "The Rabbit is in there. I've heard him crying while you were gone. Shall we go an save the poor cry baby?"
She nodded. "Yes...I'm sure he misses me as much as I miss him." Taking the Hatter's hand, she bit her lip as they started walking to the asylum.
