It occurred to me that some people might not understand a word of Japanese. So at the end of this chapter I put in a small glossary of words I have used and the English meaning. Sorry about that!
Let me also point out that Im kind of against anything statutory. So anybody expecting anything explicit with Katara or anyone else in that age group… Im sorry to disappoint you, but I done go for the `Lolita' thing. At least… not right now. Let me write a little bit more and see where it takes me. Deal?

. . .
“It's down there.” Kyle pointed over Appa's side, toward a thick clump of trees. Katara, Sokka, and Aang looked at what seemed to be a grove. From the sky, nothing out of the ordinary could be seen; just trees… lots of trees. “Lets find a place to land and we'll get settled.” Soon they found a small clearing about a mile away from the group of trees and, after unloading, Kyle led the way through the foliage.
“What should we do about Appa?” Aang asked the vampire leading the way. Kyle stopped and snapped his fingers, as if remembering about the gigantic animal.
“Ah, yes. Hold on a second.” Kyle stomped his foot on the ground and the forest floor spread out from the crust, pushing the trees out far enough for Appa to trudge through. “There we are.” He smiled and continued to lead the way, making it a point to return the environment the way it had been. Soon they reached a small building surrounded by dark green trees. It was a small house, one large room and a chimney. Mainly composed of wood, the house look like there hadn't been anybody living in it for a long period of time.
“How long, did you say, has it been since you have been here?” Katara asked, gaping at the decrepit building. Kyle set down his bag and counted his fingers, a vacant look on his pale face.
“One… two… three… about fifty years.” He answered and picked his bag back up. “Come on, let's go.” He led the way to the entrance. “And don't worry about Appa, I'll fix up a place for him in a little bit.” Aang nodded happily and followed Kyle. Katara and Sokka walked in tow until they reached the entrance. Kyle cleared his throat and clasped the latch keeping the front door shut. He pulled the latch and the door creaked open. The inside was very plain; a small table, a chair, a bookcase with numerous books, a cot, and a stone fireplace. All four entered the house and looked around. The cobwebs made Katara shiver.
“Eww… I hate spiders.” Kyle twitched beside her.
“Yea… nasty little bastards, huh?” He walked over to a glass window and opened it. “Can somebody get the other one, please?” Katara answered by pushing out the other window, letting fresh air in the dark room. Aang walked over to the bookshelf and scanned over the books with labels, which was only a few of them. War Theory… Torture and Interrogation… Toxins and Anti-toxins… Aang would have guessed that Kyle would have books like these. Sokka stood in the middle of the room and inspected the state of the walls.
“Are we going to have to repair this place?” He asked the vampire.
Kyle nodded and pointed to the bag he had set on the dark hardwood floor. “I bought epoxy and resin to repair the house. We can use lumber from outside. Repairing the house will be our first job, before we start training.” Aang whirled around and opened his mouth to argue. “First off,” Kyle spoke before the airbender. “It's important to live in a safe place. And this is hardly safe. Believe me, repairing will come in handy later in your life. It could even help with your training. You'll see, it'll help.” Aang sighed in defeat.
“So, what do we have to do?” Katara asked. Kyle looked at the walls and ceiling.
“Well… we should tear out the rotten wood and replace it. Then repair the stone parts of the building. The ceiling looks oddly well enough to not replace all that much. Seeing as everything is dry inside, it is still in working condition enough to keep the rain out.” Kyle waved his hand towards the door. “Come on, legs get outside and start getting things together.”
By the next day, they had finished their work on the house; it was now livable. The rotten wood was discarded and replaced my fresh wood from nearby trees that Kyle had cut down with one swing from his sword. While on the job of cutting trees down, he had also made a clearing large enough for Appa to live in comfortably, and piled canopy foliage above it so the clearing could not be seen from the sky. “That canopy is going to have to be maintained every now and again.” He had told Aang. With the wood replaced and the stone repaired, their home was fixed, but still too small. When pointed out, Kyle only scoffed saying, “I never expected to bring anybody back here.” Katara gave him a terse look, a look that Aang and Sokka could not understand, and Kyle, grumbling, set to work annexing the small building.
A couple of days later, Aang was starting to get impatient.
“Come on! Lets get on with the teaching!” Kyle sighed and handed his hammer to Sokka, who continued with the line of planks he was attaching.
“Fine, come on.” He turned his head toward Katara, who was carrying wood to her brother. “You coming?” The waterbender nodded and dropped the wood on Sokka's foot. The trio left Sokka howling in pain and came upon a small stream a matter of yards away from the house. Kyle stopped when they reached the stream and turned to face his students. “I should probably tell you…” He began. “That I lied before.” Katara and Aang exchanged glances of equal curiosity and peered at Kyle. “I lied about not being a teacher. The truth is that I actually have taught somebody before. Like, really taught somebody bending.” Aang cocked his head.
“Who did you teach?” Katara added to the question.
“And what did you teach?” Kyle brushed stray hair out of his face.
“Well… the person I taught is not really important. But I taught firebending to her.” Katara's face twitched almost unnoticeably. Her? “So I suppose that I could be considered as a teacher is a way. I just really don't like to consider myself… well… a very good teacher.”
“Did something happen with your student?” Aang asked. Kyle shook his head, but his face didn't seem very convincing.
“No… not really. Haha, she's still alive if that's what you mean. At least, as far as I know…” Kyle tapped his head thoughtfully. “Anyway, I just thought you should know that before I taught you anything.” Aang nodded and continued to grill Kyle for more information about his training. Katara folded her arms over her chest and sighed to herself. What was this feeling? Anger? Maybe even… jealousy? Jealous of what? Kyle's old student? That happened to be a girl? HA! She might as well feel jealous of Senea or Ellen! Why did she even feel weird to begin with? Honestly… he's a vampire… A hot vampire. Katara froze and mentally slapped herself. Where did that come from? She shook her head and tried to tune out her own thoughts in favor of the subject at hand, her training.
. . .
“Good, now try that again. But this time, extend you fingers more and loosen up your shoulders.” Kyle demonstrated for Katara, expecting her to copy his motions exactly. “When you get it, the result should be like this.” He flicked his wrist and extended his fingers wide. The water in the stream shot out towards Aang and froze in sharp spikes. Aang yelped and hoped into the air, out of danger and into the trees. “See? Now you try it.” He clenched his fist and pulled his arm back in, returning the water to its original state in the stream. Aang jumped back down from the tree and landed softly on the ground. Katara took the airbender's momentary lack of attention and copied Kyle's movements, careful to extend her fingers further. The water exploded from the stream and careened towards Aang yet again. Aang gave a sound in between a sigh and a cry in shock and jumped to the side, desperate for safety. The water froze in mid attack and numerous spikes of ice stuck themselves in the ground where Aang had been one second before. Katara pumped her fist in victory.
“Oh yea! I totally got that move down!” Kyle nodded and looked toward Aang, still attempting to catch his breath.
“You alright, there, little buddy?” A thumbs up answered him. The past few days had been devoted to teaching basic forms and moves. Mainly including ice, which was widely used by the more experienced waterbenders, as ice was more difficult to control, and more damaging that water in most cases; Kyle explained. After teaching them basic forms, Aang and Katara were told that they would start practicing new moves against each other. This would also get them to practice defense and evasion, as well as the weaknesses of certain attacks. “That is the key to fighting; finding the weakness in your opponents form and exploiting it. You can bring down the strongest fighter with the weakest tap if you find his or her weakness.” Aang and Katara listened carefully to the lesson. They listened well and learned quickly.
As well as teaching waterbending to Aang and Katara, Kyle also instructed Sokka on weapon combat. Kyle pulled out the bag he had brought and inside where numerous short range weapons; Knives, small swords, and other exotic bladed weapons. “Choose something and we'll start with that.” Sokka chose a particular weapon that looked oddly like his coveted boomerang, but it was sharper, made of steel, and was better balanced. In between lessons to Aang and Katara, Kyle schooled Sokka how to use any weapon he chose. How to attack with it effectively, how to defend, and how to counter attacks by that weapon. Soon, almost too soon, Sokka mastered the use of a wide array of blades and blunt weapons.
It was after nearly two months of training that Kyle brought Aang and Katara close after a bout that ended in a draw between the two. “Alright, I'm impressed with the progress you two have made lately.” Katara and Aang smiled in pride. “I must admit, you two have really gotten must farther that I had when I was learning waterbending. I just didn't have a talent for it.” He sighed and scratched behind his head. “So… you two have officially mastered the basics of waterbending.” Kyle turned to Aang. “I'm bumping you up to earthbending lessons. We only have about four more months until the summer solstice so I am having you only master the basics. That is… if you learn at the pace you did with waterbending.” Aang stood strait and snapped off a playful salute.
“No problem!” He exclaimed and hopped up and down. “Water down! Earth next! All right!” Katara stepped forward hesitantly.
“What about me?” Kyle turned to the waterbender and folded his arms. He rubbed his chin with one hand and screwed his face thoughtfully.
“You are now, as I define it, a waterbending master. You know all the basics, so you now can be called a master. But if you want… I can take you one or two steps further and personally teach you the more advanced moves.” Katara smiled wide and clapped her hands together.
“Definitely!” Kyle held a hand out.
“Hold on there… I must tell you before I teach you anything that most of these moves and forms are ones that I have made myself. Some are harder than others, and some…” He looked towards the ground. “Are things humans should not know.” Katara felt a chill run down her spine. What did he mean? “But if you want to expand your skills with waterbending, then by all means I will teach you anything you want.” Katara nodded attentively.
“I definitely want to learn as much as I can.” Kyle peered at her closely and sighed.
“Alright then, we'll get started tomorrow.”
He turned towards Aang, who was still hopping around happily repeating, “Water down! Earth next! All right!”
“Hey Aang!” The airbender stopped jumping. “We'll start the day after tomorrow with earthbending, alright?” Aang nodded. “Good. Then the both of you rest; I'm going to work you into the ground!” Kyle chuckled to himself at his joke and dismissed his two students.
. . .
Aang watched as Sokka ran through movements with his chosen practice weapon for today. A `kata', Kyle had called it. He fluidly slashed downward with the knife and pulled it back up. Sokka could feel Aang's eyes on him and he growled irritably.
“Aren't you training today?” Aang shook his head.
“Nope. I start earthbending tomorrow. Today Kyle's teaching Katara more advanced waterbending.” Sokka nodded slowly and looked to the trees.
”Just them? Not you?” Aang nodded.
”Just them? Not you?” Aang nodded.
“I only have so much time before the summer solstice… so I'm going to learn as much as I can from all the elements until then.” Sokka chewed his lip thoughtfully and shook his head. Bah… no reason to worry. I mean, this is Katara we're talking about… Not like anything bad will happen… He smiled, satisfied, and returned to his training.
A handful of yards away Kyle was pacing in front of Katara, who sat on a rock listening to her teacher.
”Alright, if you learn one thing from me, its going to be this: Everything that lives needs water.” Katara nodded. “Humans, plants, animals; everything needs water and has water inside of it. So, keeping that in mind, what I'm going to teach you is how to use that knowledge to your advantage.” Katara nodded, smiling in excitement. “I taught you how to control small amounts of water, as well as large. Ice is now able to be fully controlled. I'm going to teach you a number of exercises that boost your concentration skills.” Katara's face fell. Concentration? I already know how to concentrate… Kyle sighed and stopped pacing. “I know you think you know how to concentrate. But think about it, how much water can you bend at most? By boosting your concentration, you can double that easily. You could also manipulate water at the smallest level. Katara's expression showed slight confusion.
“Alright… watch this.” Kyle explained and spaced his legs apart slowly. He inhaled and held his hand out toward a tree. “Just watch… and learn…” He moved his hand to the left, and the tree moved along with his hand. Katara gasped and watched as Kyle manipulated the tree.
“Is… that waterbending?” Kyle nodded.
“Yes. The trees have water inside them, and I am bending that water.” His other hand joined and the tree swung its branches around, making the tree seem alive and willing to defend itself. “What you are initially after is the control of water at this level. There is much less water in things like trees than there is in, say, a river or a stream. So you need more control as well as concentration to be able to manipulate it. The next step from that is to take water from living things.” He clenched his hand and pulled it to his side sharply. Immediately clear liquid seeped out of the tree, leaving it dry and hard, and hovered around Kyle in a circulating line. “By having the utmost control of the water at this level, you can take the water out of living things by force to use freely.” He froze the water, and unfroze it. “Like so. But be warned, that living things need water to survive. So by taking the water, it kills them.” He gestured to the quickly drying tree.
Katara was shocked. She stared at the dying tree numbly, then at the water that surrounded Kyle obediently.
“C-can it be put back in?”
”The water?” Katara nodded slowly. “I never have been able to. This is what I have learned after many, many years of training myself. I am far above any master that I have ever met. But you…” He handed off the water to her, which she hesitantly hovered over her hand. “Have more potential than even me.” Katara shuddered involuntarily. She could be stronger than Kyle? She remembered how he effortlessly the old vampire had stolen the water out of the tree. By any living thing… he meant humans as well. She could imagine how fire nation soldiers could be taken out as easily as that tree.

“Can you teach me?” She asked in a whisper. Kyle smirked and returned the water to his hand from Katara's.
“That's the plan.”
. . .
Kyle groaned and mashed his fist into his hand in agitation. “No, no, no, no… NO, NO, NO!” He yelled and threw his hands into the air. “I'll say it again! You need to be more rooted to the ground! You can't have a light connection, ready to evade! You need to be ready to block!” Aang shuffled his feet sheepishly. “Look, I understand that you're an airbender… but you need to break that airbending habit of stepping lightly and root yourself.” Aang nodded sharply and mimicked the stance Kyle had shown him. The vampire looked it over carefully. “Space your legs apart more.” Aang tried. “As well as your arms.” Aang's stance looked over-exaggerated, almost humorously so. “Alright… now try it again.”
Aang took a deep, slow breath, thrust his arms out, and rose them slowly. The ground in front of him rumbled softly and quietly. Soon, a large chuck of earth broke away from the ground and rose above the crust a few feet. Kyle clapped loudly a few times.
“Finally! NOW we're getting somewhere!” It had taken Aang a few days of continuous drilling for him to get the basic stance down strait. It wasn't easy, Kyle had noticed, for an airbender; who are quick on their feet, to take up an earthbending stance. It was like telling a horse to walk on two feet. “Now that we got this, we can finally go onto the next step!” Aang grunted and the rock fell back into the hole it came out of.
“Arg! You broke my concentration!” He yelled and flung out his legs, stretching them. Kyle sighed.
“Sorry… look why don't you take the rest of the day off. You look pretty tired.” Aang stretched his arms over his head and nodded.
“Yea… alright.” With that he walked back towards the house. Kyle stayed behind and sat down on a rock. He let out a sigh and leaned back against a tree, relaxing.
“Well… at least we're getting somewhere.” Suddenly, he heard something come up from behind him. Before he could react, water circled around him and froze into ice, trapping him against the tree he sat against. Kyle realized the situation and laughed. “What, you wanna have a go at me?” He twitched a finger and the ice melted as soon as it had frozen around him. Katara revealed herself as Kyle brushed off his wet shirt. “Thanks, you know? I really love getting wet.” He said irritably as Katara crouched into her waterbending stance.
“I mastered that move you told me to. I want to try it out.”
Kyle sighed and squeezed the water from his shirt. ”Yea, yea. I get it.” He swiveled around and flung his hand in Katara's direction. The water he had expelled from his shirt shot toward the girl in a sharp arc. Katara swung her arms around in a circle, bouncing the water back at Kyle. The vampire sidestepped to avoid the re-directed attack and thrust his hand forward, sending a new column of water at the young waterbender. Katara smirked and spun herself around. The column of water flowed around her and was thrown back at Kyle. At the end of her spin she flexed her fingers, freezing the water she had aimed. Kyle clenched his hands together in front of his face and the ice melted into water at it hit him and splashed his arms. He lowered his arms and cracked his neck. ”Well… let's see it then.”
Katara answered by holding her arms at her side and exhaling. Her breath wisped out in a warm fog and dissipated into the cooling air around them. Kyle felt the change in temperature and smiled bitterly. She's damn good. He though and mimicked her stance, adding to the already cooling atmosphere. Lets see who gives up first. The air around the two benders cooled at an alarming rate. The stream beside them glossed over and soon the top froze. Kyle could see Katara's breath fog out of her mouth. From the density of the fog, it was safe to say that it was about twenty degrees, and dropping. Trees started to have their share if ice crystals. This is like the move I used against Aang a couple of months ago; only instead of fire, its ice. Katara should be able to find use of this ability if she were to fight anybody not used to the cold weather. He noticed Katara straiten herself. Feeling the air around them, it was far below freezing. He cracked a feral grin.
“You are probably used to this temperature, right?” Katara held her arm out and stood ready to intercept. This move's main purpose is to slow the enemy's reaction time and make it easier to bend water and ice. The perfect waterbending technique. Katara slid her foot forward and kicked up a chunk of ice towards Kyle. The vampire ducked under the attack and swept his leg out. Frozen grass below him broke off from the ground and exploded in all directions. The needle-like bristles stuck in trees and even rocks, at the speed they traveled. Katara jumped back, protecting her face, and melted the ice from the grass that came too close to her. She stopped retreating when the grass ceased coming and held her hand out in front of her, below her chest.
Kyle saw the stance and nodded approvingly. “Ah… that move, huh?” He had used that move on her before. The ice frozen on the grass melted and rose up in between Katara's hands, soon making a small sphere. Kyle noted the size and shape of the sphere and smiled. “Nicely done. But how is your control?” He formed a slightly larger sphere of his own above his head. “Test time.” He remarked and sent out a thin tendril of water towards the waterbender. As it came close, an identical tendril shot out of Katara's sphere and pierced Kyle's; both fell to the ground with a soft splash. Kyle chuckled and numerous different spikes of water careened towards Katara from the vampire. The waterbender didn't budge, she just sent on equal number of sharp streams of water from her own sphere and intercepted every one sent by Kyle. The vampire laughed and hurled his sphere of water towards Katara and dashed towards her after it.
Katara flattened her own, and freezing it with a quick flex of her fingers, and Kyle's sphere slapped loudly against the ice harmlessly. Katara felt proud for a moment, but was shocked when Kyle shattered the ice wall. He ran past the shards of ice falling to the ground. He grabbed Katara's arm and threw her behind him with a sharp, but powerful, tug. As Katara hit the ground, ice unfroze around her and froze again, trapping her against the ground. Kyle clapped softly, congratulating the girl on her progress.
“Very nice. Very, very nice. You have improved a large amount in such a short time.” Kyle was interrupted when he was hit by water from behind. He fell forward, holding out his arms, and caught himself before he hit the ground. Holding himself above the ground, he saw Katara laying trapped in the ground below him, no more than three inches away. Kyle arched his eyebrow. “You hit me from behind… didn't you?” Katara nodded, smirking proudly. Kyle started to push himself up but was stopped by a sound that mad his spine stiffen.
Thump thump… thump thump… thump thump…
It was a heartbeat. An unmistakable sound to vampires. Kyle could feel Katara's heartbeat coming from her chest. It sounded so close. So close he could almost reach out and touch it. A voice floated to the surface of his mind.
“Yes… you can feel it… You can feel her heartbeat. You can smell her blood. Speaking of which… how long has it been, Koibito? How long has it been since you fed? I mean really fed? One can't survive on rodents forever.” The voice laughed throatily. “You of all people should know that.” Kyle shook his head roughly. Katara said something, but she seemed so far off. The beating sounder louder. Why now! Kyle screamed to himself. Katara shifted under him, apparently trying to move. “Now, Koibito! Take her now! It's the perfect chance!” Kyle melted the ice around the waterbender with a quick flick of the wrist. Before Katara could move any more, her arms where pinned to the grass.
“Kyle, what are-“ She fell silent when she saw his eyes. They had a frightening look in them. What's wrong with him? Kyle bared his fangs and forced her face away with his hand, leaving her neck open. Katara knew what was going to happen then. He's… he's going to bite me! She tried to resist, but the blood-hungry vampire had her completely overpowered. No! She screamed to herself, not having the willpower to verbally yell out her position. Maybe I would have given him some of my blood if he asked me too… but not like this! She cried and stiffened when she felt Kyle's cool breath on her neck. She felt numb, but still scrunched up her face, attempting her best to brace herself for anything. Suddenly, she felt Kyle's breath cease. She opened one eye, and his eyes stared back at hers. They had lost their feral look, and were replaced by that of a frightened shock.
Kyle looked down at the young girl below him. Her face was construed in fear. Her arms helplessly bound by his. Her legs were unconsciously squeezed together.
“What…” He whispered, slowly pushing himself up. “Did I almost do?” Now fully upright, he turned on his heel and ran to the trees, his coat fluttering behind him. Katara stared after him, still frozen with subsiding fear. After the vampire completely disappeared, she breathed a shallow sigh of relief and fell flat on the ground. What… just happened?
. . .
I was now dark outside. Katara had returned to the house an hour after the incident with Kyle. He returned shortly after she had, and promptly acted as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Katara couldn't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing. In the end she settled on a good thing; but it still bothered her. The four of them ate supper as normal with Sokka periodically examining different weapons, then going on to the next one. Aang questioned Kyle about his training. Katara considered putting down her book entitled, Ice and Fire: A Tactical Perspective, to ask Kyle about the next element he had learned, but thought better of it. He'll tell us when he's ready. She thought and turned the page.
Soon after they had finished eating, Kyle told them a story about the time he had to dress up as an earth kingdom priest in order to sneak into a temple in Omashu. Apparently there was a humorous mix-up with his employer, while he was working as a mercenary-for-hire, and went to the wrong temple. The result was being in the wrong robes, which coincidentally looked extremely feminine, and wandering into a male-only temple. Aang and Sokka both laughed uproariously, and even Katara giggled slightly. After the tale, the four separated in their respective corners for sleep.
The lantern was put out by a wisp of air courtesy if Aang, and silence overtook the one-room house. Katara pulled the blanket covering her up to her chin and sighed quietly. There was nothing like relaxing in a soft bed after training all day. Shutting her eyes, she waited for sleep. Soon a peaceful sleep overtook her and she thought no more.
No sooner had she felt like she shut her eyes she snapped awake. She scanned the ceiling blurrily, trying to grasp her surroundings. She was still in the room, at it was almost pitch black. Her eyes were already adjusted to the darkness, and she could make out the shaped in the room. There was the table, the chairs, the bookcase, and the other beds. She could see the moonlight shining through the window on the other side of the room. The moonlight wasn't shining there when she first closed her eyes, so time had passed. Just how much time passed, Katara didn't know. She squinted her eyes to make out the others. There was Sokka, sleeping soundly as usual. And there was Aang, sprawled on top of his blankets. And there was… wait… where's Kyle? She couldn't see the vampire. Could he have woken her when he left his bed? If so, where was he? She was about to sit up when she felt something come up next to her beside her bed.
Katara whirled her head around and nearly cried out of shock, if the figure had not clamped a cold hand over her mouth. The figure leaned forward so Katara could see who it was. Even in the darkness, she could still make out his pale face. She relaxed and nodded, meaning that Kyle could take away his hand. He did so, and to his relief, Katara did not scream or yell. She opened her mouth to whisper something but was stopped by Kyle, who leaned forward and pressed his mouth to hers in a kiss.
The higher thoughts in Katara's mind, the ones that were awake, ceased. Her first reaction was an involuntary shiver at the chill of his cool lips on hers. She didn't know whether to pull back or push forward. She couldn't think at all. Was he actually kissing her? Could this be just a dream? The sharp bite of cold on her lips proved otherwise. Definitely not… this is definitely not a dream. She sighed inwardly and wrapped her arm around Kyle's head, pulling him closer. The vampire sat beside Katara on her bed and broke the kiss softly. Katara inhaled a breath and pulled him to her again. She shuddered at the cold touch of his lips and unwillingly pulled away. It would probably be difficult to get used to the coldness of his body. Katara felt his hands reach her sides and squeeze gently. She jumped slightly and kissed Kyle more deeply.
Katara unconsciously lay back down on her pillow, pulling Kyle down with her. Now laying flat on her back, Katara pulled the vampire over her so they weren't at any strange angles. Kyle swung one leg over the waterbender and continued kissing her softly. Katara pulled her hand back from behind Kyle's head and slowly slid it underneath his shirt. She stretched her hand out over the cool flesh of his back and ran her nails over his skin. Kyle, reacting to Katara's boldness, slid one of his hands underneath the hem of her shirt. He felt her muscles tense and jump when he ran his fingers over her warm stomach, and laughed silently. Katara moaned quietly and shifted her weight to her side, and rolled Kyle over so she straddled his legs. Why am I being so forward? She mutedly asked herself. Totally ignoring her better judgment, she grabbed the hem of Kyle's shirt with both hands, and pulled it over his head. With his shirt now gone, she half gently, half desperately ran her nails over Kyle's chest. The vampire grabbed behind Katara's head and pulled her close, kissing her roughly. Whimpering softly, she ran her hands over Kyle's arms and removed them from behind her head. Her hands guided his to the bottom of her shirt, and he pulled her shirt off just as quickly as she had.
Now free of her shirt, Katara pressed her torso as hard as she could against Kyle's She shivered against the chill and sighed softly. Katara distantly felt Kyle shift his weight and flip her over on her back. She stared at him above her, feeling something she had never felt before. Kyle leaned forward and tiled her head to the side, and softly bit down into her neck.
Katara gasped and opened her eyes in shock. Sunlight poured in through the window on the opposite side of the room. It was early morning. What… She quickly felt her neck. Nothing. She tore off her blankets. Still wearing clothes. She glanced towards Kyle's bed. He was laying still, facing the wall away from her. It was all a dream. Katara lay back down on the bed. She rubbed her thighs together and groaned inwardly. Ahhhh, Fuck! She screamed to herself and pressed her hands to her forehead. Even his language habits were growing on her. And that word suited her mood perfectly.
. . .
Soon everyone was awake and eating a small breakfast. Katara was unusually silent as was Kyle, but he was always quiet so it didn't bother anyone. Aang tried to break the silence by asking Kyle what they would work on today, but he got no answer; only a sharp grunt. Katara was even less than enthusiastic. When talked to, she didn't even answer. She just picked at her food and shifted her legs. When everybody was finished, Kyle stood up and picked up his coat.
“Lets get to it, then.” Aang jumped up happily. Kyle reached for the door latch when door shook with a loud knocking. Everybody inside the house froze. Somebody knocked on the door? Kyle turned to face the others, who looked back at him with a equal look of confusion and apprehension. Kyle gripped the hilt of his sword around his waist and slowly opened the door. He was instantly knocked off his feet by a yellow blur.
“Onii-chan!” exclaimed the blur and everybody started at Kyle; who lay across the room, on the floor, with a young girl attached to his chest. “Onii-chan! Onii-chan! I've found Onii-chan!” Sang the girl happily. The girl didn't look any older than thirteen. She had a shock of bright yellow, messy hair, and wore shorts and a baggy shirt. “I've found Onii-chan!” repeated the girl and she began kissing Kyle rapidly.
Katara felt her eyebrow twitch. Aang and Sokka stood frozen with their weapons half-drawn. Confusion enveloped the small room. Onii-chan?
Kyle finally wrestled the girl away and set her down beside him. He coughed to the side, and shook his head, ridding himself of the dust gathered by the attack. He then turned his head towards the blonde girl wearing an expression of genuine horror and surprise.
“C-cal?”
