The Experiment Part 04: Covalent Bonds

 

The sun was shining, birds were singing, the trees were swaying to a refreshing breeze, and rhythmatic oldies music could be heard coming from a certain summer home. Chiyo-chan and Sakaki enjoyed their early morning stretches, Sakaki especially for the little stickers she and Chiyo-chan would get from Nyamo-sensei.

 

But for one teenage girl, more joy could be had from just watching. Kaorin sat on the porch, leaning against the rail staring at the movements of Sakaki. She noticed how her body curved perfectly to each step, the beads of sweat on her skin, and the large breasts that bounced with every move she made.

 

She was so glad she came this time. Being able to watch Sakaki like this made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Her heart pounded like crazy, but she kept watching. This was paradise.

 

“Hey, Kaorin! Whatcha doing?” exclaimed an overly-hyper Tomo from behind, slapping her hard on the back.

 

“Do you ALWAYS have to do that?!” Kaorin yelled. Tomo always got in her way! Always ruined her fun! Always was so oblivious to the feelings of others. With a frown, Kaorin stormed off away from Tomo. She didn't care where, just away from that annoying wildcat!

 

“Oh, Kaorin! Have you come to join us?” Chiyo-chan asked her. Kaorin stopped in her tracks. Where had she been walking, exactly? She looked to her side and saw Sakaki, her face curious, probably wondering why she would be out here with them. After all, when did she ever truly deserve to be in her presence?

 

“Um, well, that is, um…” she couldn't come up with an answer. She was too nervous knowing Sakaki was there. “I…I didn't want to intrude.”

 

“Not at all,” said Sakaki, causing Kaorin to stiffen up immediately, “more the merrier.”

 

Kaorin blushed. Sakaki…Sakaki was actually asking her to join her! It was like a dream come true! Sakaki smiled at her, and Chiyo-chan nodded. Kaorin nervously smiled back, and took a spot besides Sakaki as the music started again.

 

Several times when she was leaning her way, Kaorin would be able to stare at Sakaki. She couldn't believe she was actually getting this opportunity to watch Sakaki's athletic body working up close! It was even more beautiful than she thought it would be. She loved the way her body moved, and even wanted to feel how it moved for herself. She shook off that desire quickly when she realized her hand had actually extended in a way not in an exercising way.

 

What was she doing, exactly? That's what Sakaki wondered. Kaorin's movements sometimes seemed a little different than what Chiyo-chan and herself were doing, and several times she had bumped into Kaorin who had forgotten to turn to her other side. She even noticed her face went beat red as she did this especially when her hand accidentally touched…

 

Now Sakaki turned a little red. Well, it wasn't as if Kaorin was aiming for her breasts, or was she? It was hard to tell, but Sakaki wondered what her frequent antics towards her meant. She often went out of her way to approach her, and said weird things. Things like staying tied together after the 3-legged race, or repeatedly asking for help the other night, making sure she was extra close to her. Sakaki even noticed how she clung to her during the fiasco in Yukari-sensei's car. Not that she could blame her, but still. Maybe she was looking too much into it. Or maybe…did she want it to mean…

 

“Sakaki-san?” Kaorin asked curiously, snapping Sakaki out from her trance, “Are you alright, Sakaki-san?”

 

“Um, yes. I'm alright,” she replied, smiling at Kaorin. Kaorin couldn't help but blush a little at Sakaki smiling at her, but she couldn't look away from her face. She was so pretty…

“Sakaki! Kaorin!” called Kagura, “we're going to the beach! You coming with…” she stopped for a moment, finally noticing the situation. Both of them had turned away from each other now, faces slightly red. She wondered what she had just interrupted exactly.

 

“Umi da! Umi da!” cheered Tomo in the background. Kagura sighed and turned away from the two girls, saying “Hurry up and change. We'll meet you over there.”

 

“H-hai…” muttered Kaorin. She mentally kicked herself. How could she have stared at Sakaki like that? Had she no decency? But then again…wasn't Sakaki staring back at her? She could feel herself blushing all the way back, and didn't dare look up at Sakaki, who was in a similar state.

 

Sakaki felt her face turning red. What exactly was she doing? She was admiring a girl's beauty that was all! Nothing more, yeah, nothing at all. She wasn't actually thinking of Kaorin in that way, no sir.

 

She kept muttering these things to herself as she changed into her bikini. Out of a whim, she decided to wear the yellow one she wore the first time instead of the green one she wore the previous day. She wondered, to her surprise, if Kaorin would like it.

 

She stepped out, and was greeted by an ever-cheerful Kaorin, dressed in a lovely bikini filled with a mixture of yellow and green. “Ready, Sakaki-san?” she asked, trying to hide her blush. Sakaki smiled. She really was quite pretty; there was no doubt about that.

 

After a lot of blushing and side-glances, the two finally made it to the beach. By that time everyone was already knee-deep in fun and excitement. Kagura was giving Tomo a splashing war, Yomi was squirting Chiyo-chan (which Sakaki thought was ever-so cute), Osaka was playing with sea cucumbers of all things, and Yukari was drifting in the ocean in her inner tube next to Osaka.

 

“Shall we, Sakaki-san?” Kaorin smiled up at Sakaki. She nodded, and the two skipped off to have fun in the sun.

 

“What's wrong, Kagura?” Tomo asked Kagura, who kept looking over to Sakaki and Kaorin, who had gone over play with a beach ball.

 

“Nothing, it's just…you ever notice how Kaorin always tries to talk to Sakaki or get close to her?” she wondered aloud.

 

“Yeah, I have, actually,” replied Tomo, rubbing her chin, “I thought she just admired her, you know? She does like cool things, after all.”

 

“Yeah, that's what I thought too, but…” she sighed and took another glance at them. They had stopped playing with the beach ball and were heading over to a couple of rocks around the bend, “I saw them staring at each earlier, and I notice Kaorin always blushes a lot…”

 

“What, really? Like what kind of stare?”

 

“Like the kind of stare you'd make at someone you liked,” Kagura said, “Like she has a…”

 

“Crush? On Sakaki?”

 

“It's possible,” said Kagura, shaking her head, “Oi! Maybe I'm thinking too much into this!”

 

“What if she does?” laughed Tomo, splashing Kagura, “does it make much difference, anyways?”

 

“Well, it's two—cut that out, Tomo!—girls. It's…weird.”

 

“It's not weird!” laughed Tomo, “love is love! Sex is sex! It's about feeling good, isn't it?”

 

“Well, I mean, how would…”

 

“Hm?” questioned Tomo, “How do two girls do it? Hehe, you didn't listen to Nyamo's speech, did you?”

 

“S-shut up! I fell asleep after the first part!” she yelled, “I was so tired from studying that…”

 

“I can show you,” whispered Tomo, “I would feel bad if one of my good friends was deprived from this knowledge.”

 

“T-Tomo…”

 

“There's a spot over by those rocks over there,” Tomo pointed, “No one will see us.”

 

“I don't know…” she hesitated, but Tomo had enough hesitating. With a loud laugh, she dunked Kagura into the water and dove after her. Without warning, she planted a deep kiss on Kagura's lips. Kagura froze, feeling for the first time soft lips on hers. And, to her surprise, a tongue licking her lips, slipping inside her curious mouth.

 

They surfaced, and Tomo snickered at the blushing Kagura. “Like that?” she teased, “if you want, we can do more.”

 

Blushing red, Kagura almost said no, that it was embarrassing, that they were both girls…but that kiss felt nice…

 

Tomo didn't wait for a response and just took Kagura's hand, leading her to her secret spot. Osaka glanced at them for a second, but Tomo just winked. Osaka smiled and nodded, going back to playing with her slimy little friends.

 

“Wow! This is so cool!” Kaorin exclaimed. Sakaki had led her to a hidden cave she said the others went to the previous day. Kaorin had ended up too sick to come, and stayed behind with Nyamo-sensei. The cave wasn't that big, but the way the water reflected off the walls was a spectacle to behold. Crabs scurried around them, making homes in the walls.

 

“Hehe, cute!” Kaorin exclaimed, picking up a starfish she found in one of the tide pools around them. Sakaki smiled, glad she liked it. She felt bad for Kaorin the other day, thinking she might have liked to have gone with them. Little did she know Kaorin was thanking her car-sickness, for she much preferred to enjoy this alone with Sakaki.

 

“Thank you so much for bringing me here, Sakaki-san!” she thanked her happily, turning around to face her. However, as she did so, her foot stepped on a very slippery sea cucumber, causing her to trip. Unfortunately, Sakaki had been standing right behind her, so when Kaorin tripped, she took a surprised Sakaki with her.

 

“Ow…” muttered Kaorin after the sudden fall. She opened her eyes to take a look at her current position. She should have kept her eyes closed. She was on top of Sakaki, her right hand clasped onto her breast, her face when she looked up inches away from Sakaki's blushing one.

 

Neither moved. Kaorin could not will her body to move from her current position. It wouldn't let her. In fact, she could swear her body wanted to be right there, pressed up against Sakaki's sexy body clothed only in bikini and dripping of ocean water and sweat. Her hand even began to squeeze a bit on its own.

 

“K-Kaorin…” moaned Sakaki, feeling Kaorin's hand squeezing her breast on her own. It was the first time she had them squeezed like this and, though there was only slight pressure on them, it felt surprisingly good.

 

“Sakaki-san, I…forgive me, I…” she tried to say, but she couldn't find the words. Sakaki's hand now gripped her shoulder, and Kaorin feared she would pull it away. Instead, she squeezed her shoulder, and stared at Kaorin. “Sakaki-san?”

 

Sakaki's face stared back at her, her cheeks flushed, her eyes half-lidded, her lips…her lips. Kaorin was closer to Sakaki now than she ever was, and her pink lips had never looked so beautiful and…tasty. “F-forgive me, Sakaki-san…” she whispered before leaning forward and lightly pressing her lips against Sakaki's.

 

“Mmmm…” Kaorin purred, closing her eyes to fully enjoy the situation. Her lips only lightly touched Sakaki's, but she could tell already they felt and tasted wonderful. She attempted to deepen the kiss and feel more of Sakaki's wonderful lips, and was delighted when Sakaki responded. Her lips opened willingly and allowed their lips to lock perfectly together. Kaorin's tongue slide past their lips, licking inside Sakaki's warm mouth. Her hand caressed Sakaki's face as they enjoyed their first kiss, and Sakaki's arms were soon wrapped tight around Kaorin, making sure she didn't leave.

 

She didn't know why she suddenly kissed Kaorin back. She knew she shouldn't; they were both girls! But her lips were so soft, so warm so… She soon found herself unable to think about it, feeling the new sensation of Kaorin's hand squeezing her breast flooding her body. She let out a sudden gasp and moaned when Kaorin's hand gripped her large breasts tighter than when she had fallen onto her earlier. Sakaki barely even knew her, and here she was, kissing her and trying to cop a feel. Her face was beet red, but Sakaki's was redder. Not too much embarrassed, or uncomfortable, but she was shocked to find she was disappointed. Her entire body tingled. She wanted Kaorin on her again; to kiss her and touch her. Even her breast seemed to want Kaorin's hand squeezing it again.

 

“It's okay, really…” Sakaki muttered. She didn't know what to say to her. “Don't stop”? No, too forward. “I like you too”? No, at this point she didn't know how she felt. “God, I want you”? She blushed at that thought.

 

“I um, that is, about you, Sakaki-san, I…”

 

“OH GOD TOMO!!”

 

Both girls jerked their heads around to the direction of the loud scream. It sounded like…

“Kagura-san,” muttered Sakaki.

“W-we should go see if she's alright,” suggested Kaorin. Sakaki nodded, and both ran around the cave to another rocky cave she remembered Tomo showing them last time.

“I hope she's okay,” Sakaki thought as she ran with Kaorin, holding Kaorin's hand as they left.

 

A/N: Hehe well, this was the longest chapter yet. I'd have made it longer, but I didn't want anyone waiting too long. Not that I have many people who are really waiting from it, judging from the amount of feedback…T_T

But I've had at least some feedback from people saying they want a little Sakaki action. Being one of my least-favorite characters of the show (like Yomi and Nyamo), I only can truly bring out her character when pairing her up with the awesome Kaorin. I didn't plan on bringing their relationship out so soon, but I haven't fully brought it out yet, have I? ;-)

Also, I'm sorry if the setting doesn't correspond accurately with the actual event of the anime. I've tried to keep it pretty accurate, but hey, it's fanfic, right? :P
