Chapter 3

Ranma encounters the cause of his Living Hell

 

After successfully navigating the forest Ranma and Deedlit find an empty cave to rest in after their day's travels. Ranma had desperately needed the rest after being chased by the law, bounty hunters, and the Blue Dragon Knight for the last several months.

 

`Having a good night's sleep does wonders for my sanity.' Ranma thought to himself.

 

`Damn. Ranma asked me to let him sleep for the night and judging by how deep and soundly he slept it appears that was the first good night of sleep he had in a long time.' Deedlit observed.

 

Deedlit and Ranma packed their belongings and hit the road to the castle of Queen Integra. They made small talk for the most of the morning until Ranma stiffened up. Deedlit watched Ranma's face darken in anger and she shivered on how cold his eyes became.

 

“Ranma what's wrong?” Deedlit asked.

 

“He's here.” Ranma answered in the coldest voice the elf had ever heard anyone speak. Ranma had sense the aura of the man who had made him an outlaw just because his own government was too cowardly to go against the Dragon Knights. Descendents of warriors indeed more like cowards. She almost shivered in the warm heat of the day.

 

“Who?” Deedlit asked.

 

“Kuno.” Ranma answered. As soon as he said the name a man with brown hair appeared riding a horse accompanied by several lizardmen.

 

The elf shuddered in fear at seeing the Blue Dragon Knight and she knew his reputation in battle. Ranma was glaring at the man who was riding the horse. Ranma and Deedlit knew that there was no way the two could escape unnoticed. Plus escaping unnoticed was the last thing on Ranma's mind. Both Ranma and Deedlit watched as Tatewaki Kuno and his band of lizardmen draw closer.

 

When Kuno drew close enough to be heard he began speaking. Unnoticed to all the participants they were being watched by a pair of mischievous violet eyes.

 

“The Gods must be on my side to deliver you to me foul sorcerer Saotome. As soon as I smite you the pigtailed girl to me so we may consummate our love.” Kuno started his long speech. Ranma's eyes narrowed as he heard what Kuno had just said. Kuno then noticed Deedlit. “The Gods must truly be on my side to deliver this golden-haired Elven enchantress to me.”

 

At those words Deedlit became sick. She wanted no part to do with this crazy idiot. Deedlit turned to Ranma and sweatdropped.

 

As Kuno was ranting on about Gods, pigtailed girls, golden haired Elven enchantresses Ranma was reading a book. The reason Deedlit had sweatdropped was because of the title.

“Kuno, How many times do I have to beat it into your skull that the pigtailed girl does not exist?” asked a frustrated Ranma as he prepared to do what any person what do if they were sane. Ignore the rants of the idiot and beat him to the ground.

 

“Blah, Blah, Blah.” Ranma could hear Kuno saying something. “Blah, Blah, Blah.” Ranma was still reading his book. “Blah, Blah, Blah.” Ranma had just finished the third chapter when Kuno wound down.

 

Deedlit was sweatdropping at Ranma's confidence over the Blue Dragon Knight.

 

`Either Ranma doesn't know of the Blue Dragon Knight's reputation…' Deedlit stopped. `…or he is so good he makes Kuno look like an amateur. Looks like I will find out which.'

 

She noticed the Blue Thunder raising his sword and Ranma cracking his knuckles.

 

“So who's first Kuno? You or your lizardmen?” Ranma asked.

 

The Dragon Knight nodded to his lackeys and the entire group of lizardmen surrounded the warrior in answer to his challenge.

 

“What are you guys waiting for? A written invitation?” Ranma taunted the lizardmen. “Anytime you losers want to get pummeled come get some.”

 

The lizardmen screamed in rage and attacked all at once. Ranma grabbed one and threw it into a group of its comrades. The lizardmen thought by surrounding and attacking all at once they could overcome Ranma. They were wrong. Scarcely a minute had passed when the last was knocked out by Ranma's right fist.

 

“Hah, foul sorcerer your tricks won't work on me.” After Kuno said that he charged Ranma intent on ending the sorcerer's hold on his beloved and incidentally his life as well.

 

Ranma was not the type to stay in one place and get hit. The young man somersaulted over Kuno and slammed the swordsman hard in the back, knocking him down.

 

Ranma was smirking at the short work he was making of the idiot Kuno and planning on killing him when a freak accident happened. A small cloud appeared over Ranma's head and doused him just enough to turn Ranma into a woman. A second later the cloud vanished into nothingness.

 

“What are the odds of this happening?”

 

“Actually it happens more often than you think.” Deedlit answered. She was calm since she uses a lot of magic in her way of fighting. She remained calm after seeing the hunk in front of her change into a beautiful redhead before her very eyes. Deedlit noted Ranma's white shirt that was near transparent showcasing Ranma's large bosom. “Especially if you are wearing a white shirt.” The elf added.

 

Just as the woman that used to be a man asked where the cloud had come she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist.

 

“Pigtailed goddess, you've returned to me. You have returned to your true love.” Kuno said as he held Ranma-chan from behind. Deedlit sweatdropped at that since Kuno had seen Ranma changed sex.

 

“Let me go jerk.” Ranma-chan growled out as she struggled for him to release her. With Ranma's luck the lizardmen had woken up and saw their master Kuno holding a woman from behind. The lizardmen could not see the guy who knocked them out anywhere.

 

The lizardmen shrugged and began stretching their heads in the way only they can. And began to approach Ranma-chan from a few interesting positions.

 

“I said LET ME GO JERK.” Ranma growled out again. This was just about the worst day he has had so far after Kuno forced the Japanese government into declaring him an outlaw. Monster battle after monster battle, after even more monster battle. Plus add in the fact he is in his girl form Ranma was being felt up by the perverted Blue Dragon Knight, and those damn lizardmen were crawling towards her with their tongues flicking in anticipation.

 

Was Ranma going to stand for this was the question and the answer is no way in hell!!!!

 

With that answer to her question Ranma gathered all her strength into one crushing blow….

 

Ranma hit Kuno where it hurt. Smashing his little Kuno between his legs. The girlish shriek told Ranma that she had hit her target. As soon as the Knight's grip laxed Ranma stretched out her arms and broke free of the so-called hug.

 

Ranma turned around quickly and belted Kuno across the jaw with her fist. An audible cracking sound told Deedlit that Kuno's jaw had broken under the fist. Ranma smiled at the noise.

 

Seeing their master fall the lizardmen decided to work together to dominate this woman as the feisty ones have always proven to be great entertainment in the past.

 

Ranma noticed their actions and her blue eyes darkened as she grabbed the legs of the Blue Dragon Knight as he was falling backwards. She swung the unconscious Blue Dragon Knight like a club slamming him into the lizardmen all around her.

 

“HOME RUN!!!!” Deedlit heard Ranma yell.

 

However Ranma wasn't done yet. Ranma wanted to torture these monster to get her point across so she was repeatedly clubbing the downed lizardmen with Kuno as her club. The lizardmen were not the only ones getting damaged since Kuno was also getting mangled in his armor. All the while Ranma was laughing maniacally.

 

“TAKE THIS!!” WHAM!!

 

One lizardmen tried crawling away with both his legs broken. “AND THIS!!” WHAM!!

 

Deedlit gulped when a lizard men screamed in pain as his tail was literally smashed off of him. It was trying to crawl away so he could regrow his tail back but it needed to get away ASAP. “HEY YOU! TAKE THIS!” WHAM!!

 

One of the lizardmen tried to fight back “AND YOU! HAVE SOME OF THIS!!!” WHAM-WHAM-WHAMMITY-WHAM!!!

 

Deedlit was off to one side watching the massacre in shock totally amazed by the brutality Ranma was using to dispatch the Blue Dragon Knight and his band of lizardmen. “This…This is incredible.”

 

Soon Ranma was standing over the pile of broken enemies.

 

“Damn, That felt great.”

 

All the elf could do was sweatdropped. The hero of prophecy was turning out to be pretty damn brutal.

 

Ranma took the Blue Dragon Knight's sword and ran over to him. Just as she was about to swing down the sword Ranma noticed the Kuno's body glowing with a soft light and she cursed throwing down the sword. Just as she did so Kuno and his sword disappeared into thin air

 

Deedlit moved cautiously to Ranma and asked, “Are you all right Ranma?”

 

“Yes since Kuno is hurt pretty badly and no since that bastard who wrecked my life is still alive to wreck it some more.”

 

The elf winced at Ranma's tone as she watched the redhead walk to pick up her pack. Deedlit sighed and shrugged her shoulders. The hero might be worse than the villains. The elf stopped when she reconsidered the look in the eyes of pigtailed individual.

 

`Strange. When I looked into Ranma's eyes I noticed pain, sadness, and hatred. What did Kuno do to him?' Deedlit asked herself. `I hope that he will tell me when he feels like he can.'

 

Deedlit picked up her supplies and ran up to catch up to the pigtailed hero.

Next Chapter

Kuno's report to Schneider and the Overlord is not happy at all. His hold over the land needs two more things to be complete. What are they? Plus we learn more of Ranma's tragic past and more of why he is an outlaw.
