Chapter 6: Meeting them again

A Couple Days Later

Bree sighed as she looked out the window. Currently she and the Bladebreakers were on a bus heading to the stadium were the tournament was being held. The first day of the tournament was today. Outside the bus it was raining hard and the sky was clouded over. It was an all around depressing day.

Since the night that she had talked with Faith, Tara, Kat and Morika, she had been thinking about what they had said. She was slowly starting to believe them. But when I say slowly, I mean SLOWLY. Lets just say she didn't think they were insane anymore, which was an improvement, right? RIGHT?

Anyway, She also hadn't seen much of Oliver or Tala and his team. She would go out for hours to try to find them. I know, it seems like she's obsessed with them or something, but she wasn't.

With a jerk she was suddenly pulled from her thoughts. They had arrived. There were tons of fans out in the rain holding up signs and screaming. They all stepped from the bus and all of them would have been soaked if not for the jackets most of them so wisely brought. Notice I said MOST. Just guess who forgot their jacket? Tyson.

He was drenched immediately and looked like a drowned…um, well, a drowned Tyson. Bree laughed at the sight of him and he glared at her. Not that she was fazed by it. It was a pathetic glare anyway. They all started walking to the doors ignoring the fans screaming at them.

Tyson trailed further behind them muttering things under his breath that Bree couldn't quite catch. Once they were inside it was peacefully quite, the screams not heard in the building. They made their way to a locker room were they peeled their jackets off of them and got ready. Or in Tyson's case, sulked in the corner.

When they were ready, they made their way to a waiting room for all the teams before they fought. There was a TV in there so the teams could watch the other matches when it wasn't their turn. When they got there, there was only one other team there. The Majestics.

Bree saw Oliver and she smiled. At least she knew someone. “Oliver!” she called out. He turned to her and smiled when he saw her. “Bree!” Bree walked over to him and gave him a small hug. “How are you?” “I'm fine, you?” “Great.”

She saw the bladebreakers walk up behind her and she saw their confused faces. She also noted that Oliver's team looked confused also. Max spoke first. “Bree? How do you know Oliver?” Bree winced when she thought about how Ray would react to her answer. “Well you see, I was out walking and was going to meet someone. After the meeting I walked some more and found the ocean. I was staring at the moon when Oliver came up behind me and we got to talking and became friends. He walked me back after.”

Everyone was staring at her. But Ray, being the most protective of her seeing as he considered her like a younger sister, was angry. “What were you doing out alone at night?!” Bree winced. She knew this would happen. “Ray I wasn't alone. I told you I was out meeting someone and then I met Oliver. So I wasn't ALONE.”

Ray glared. “You were still out at night without me knowing! What if you had gotten hurt?!” Bree shrugged. “I don't know, never thought about it.” Ray sighed. “Just at least tell me next time, okay?” Bree nodded. “Okay.”

During the whole argument, the Bladebreakers had been watching in amusement and the Majestics were confused. Someone tapped Oliver on the shoulder. He turned and saw it was Enrique who had tapped him. “Introductions please!” He whispered. Oliver sighed. He should have know. He tapped Bree. She turned to him. “What?”

He gestured to his team. “Bree, these are my teammates. Enrique,” He pointed to the blonde one who winked at her, she in turn glared at him and he wisely chose to back off. “Johnny,” he pointed to the redhead who nodded his greeting, Bree did the same. “and Robert, the team captain.” He pointed to the purple haired one. He also nodded his greeting.

“Guys, this is Bree.” The introductions over, both teams sat down and started talking. Bree was sitting on the other side of Oliver with Ray next to her so she couldn't see the entrance when the next team entered. Everyone else could see them however and they all stopped talking when they saw them and glared.

Bree was confused. “Guys? Why are you all so silent all of a sudden?” She looked around Ray and saw Tala and his team. She smiled. “Tala!” She rose from her spot and walked over to them. She wasn't facing the two teams she was walking away from, so she had no way of seeing their shocked looks.

She continued walking to the Demolition Boys who looked shocked as well but they all quickly hid it. “Bree? What the hell are you doing here? I thought you weren't on a team?” She turned to Ian, the one who spoke. “Just because I'm not on a team doesn't mean I cant come to cheer on friends shorty.”

He glared at that. “Don't call me shorty!” She smirked. “Why not? You are short you midget.” He turned red with anger. “Don't call me midget!” they kept arguing while the Demolition Boys looked on in amusement. Finally Ian got fed up and was about to hit her when he heard a growl. He stopped and slowly turned to see Bryan glaring dangerously at him.

He gulped and backed down, muttering under his breath so no one could hear. Though Bree caught words like “Ratri” and “stupid” and “Bryan”. That confused Bree. `Why did he mention Ratri? And why did Bryan stop him?' She looked to Tala. “So your team is entering the tournament also? Cool. What's your team name?” Tala looked at her weirdly then got a contemplating look on his face as if realizing something before looking at her. “It's the Demolition Boys.” “Oh.” She nodded. That's when Ray and Oliver decided to come up behind her, still glaring at the Demolition Boys.

“Bree, lets go.” They each grabbed one of her arms and started dragging her back to their teams. A slight growl was heard from one of the demolition boys at the way they were holding her, but only his teammates heard. Bree struggled against their grip and tried to break away, but they were to strong.

She looked desperately back at Tala and his team and mouthed `Bye' before they were standing back in front of the Majestics and Bladebreakers. They started asking questions all at once and Ray and Oliver finally let go of her arms. She started to get confused by all the questions being thrown at her and she covered her ears, trying to block them out.

Johnny noticed this and shouted for them to shut up. Bree un-covered her ears and sent a thankful look to Johnny. He just shrugged and looked away, his cheeks coloring slightly. She smirked at that before turning her attention back to everyone else. “Okay, I know you want some answers,” she gestured to the Majestics, “on how I met them. And you guys,” she gestured this time to the Bladebreakers, “want to know why I am not staying away from them like you guys asked.” Both teams nodded.

She turned to the Majestics. “I met them on one of my walks. I was going through the park when I saw a big group of kids surrounding something. I was naturally curious and decided to go check it out. It was a beyblade battle between some kid and Tala. Tala won and I lingered behind because,” she stopped for a second and decided weather or not to tell them about the vision thing. She glanced quickly to the Bladebreakers and decided not to, “because I wanted to meet them. We talked briefly and I went away. Explain how I know them?”

They nodded. “Good.” She turned to the Bladebreakers. “I am not taking your advice because of ANOTHER meeting I had with just Tala. It was on that walk I took when I met Oliver.” She glanced quickly at Ray to see him starting to look pissed off. “We talked and I guess you could say we became friends. That's why I'm not taking your advice. Their my FRIENDS! Of course I'm not going to stay away from them.”

The Demolition Boys had been listening from their spot across the room and they smirked at the expressions on their faces when Bree told them that. And their faces were funny. A lot of them had either the fish out of water look or had their jaws on the ground. And almost all of their eyes were as big as dinner plates.

The only people who didn't look like that were Kai (Of course), Robert, and Johnny. Bree took one look at their faces and burst out laughing. At that moment another team walked in. They just rose their eyebrows. “What's going on here?” Bree stopped laughing and turned around to see a team with three boys and a girl. The White Tigers.

She waved them over, though she had no idea who they were. When they were right in front of her she put her hand out to who she believed was the team captain. “I'm Bree.” He shook her hand. “Lee.” She nodded and looked behind him at his team. He got the message. “That's Kevin,” he pointed to the kid with green hair, “Gary,” He pointed to the big one, “and Mariah, my little sister.” He pointed to the only girl on the team.

Bree took one look at her and didn't like her. She looked like a prep and wore to much pink. Mariah smiled at her and stuck out her hand. “Hi Bree! It's, like, so nice to meet you!” Bree looked at her outstretched hand in disgust. “I'm sure.” She turned her attention back to Lee and Kevin, Gary having gone over to the table filled with food that they had set out for the bladders. Kevin was snickering behind his hand and Lee looked like he was trying hard not to laugh at Mariah's expression.

Mariah's face was red from anger and her eyes were narrowed into a pathetic glare with her hands balled into fists at her sides. It WAS amusing. It looked like she wanted to scream. And she did. She started yelling insults at Bree so loud that she was sure people fifty miles away could hear. She started motioning wildly with her hands with everyone looking at her and trying not to laugh.

It was all in vain though. She just looked to…stupid. Everyone stared laughing and that just seemed to make her madder. She stopped yelling and looked helplessly at Ray. “Raaaaay!” she wined. He stopped laughing and tried to put on a serious face though he still looked like he wanted to laugh, VERY badly. “Sorry Mariah. But it WAS funny.”

She glared and he laughed. “Okay, okay. Come on guys, stop laughing.” Everyone that was laughing (The ones who weren't were: Kai and Robert) stopped and tried to hold their laughs in. Some failed miserably, but Mariah still seemed satisfied that Ray was listening. Sort of.

Bree glanced to Ray to see Mariah hanging off his arm. She shook her head sympathetically. “Poor, poor Ray.” Lee and Kevin, who were still standing by her, laughed at this. “I know what you mean. She's my sister. I have to live with her.” Bree laughed (A/N: There's a lot of laughing o_0 I should stop). “I pity you.”

Over the next couple of minutes before the tournament officially started, the Saint Shields and the All Starz showed up. She was introduced to everyone and became fast friends with Ozuma and his team. Michael tried to hit on her until she threatened to castrate him (LOL ^^), and she didn't like Emily at all. She got along fine with Steve and Eddy though.

The loudspeaker in the corner of the room suddenly started emitting weird sounds and everyone stopped their conversations and looked at it. Bree was quite peeved at the interruption. She had been having a conversation with Ozuma and Miriam and didn't like being interrupted. Suddenly whatever was wrong with it was fixed as a man started speaking.

“Sorry for the interruption! I would just like to say that the tournament has now officially begun! So, would the Bladebreakers and the Warriors (I know, crappy name !sweatdrop!) please report to the beyblade stadium! The first match is going to begin in Five minutes! If you are not there by that time, your team will automatically be disqualified! Thank you!”

Bree turned back to Ozuma and Miriam. “That's my friends. I'm gonna walk with them to the stadium. I'll see you guys later.” They said bye and Bree walked over to the Bladebreakers. “Read?” They nodded and they left the room and started navigating the hallways to the beydish.

When they got there, the other team, the Warriors, was already there. But when Bree saw who they were, she stopped in her tracks and froze. It almost felt as if her heart had stopped beating from shock. The Bladebreakers stopped and looked back at her concerned. “Bree?” Ray and Max stepped up to her. “Are you okay?”

“I-it's you guys…”

……………………….. Nah…………….

The Warriors were none other than Faith, Tara, Morika, and Kat. Ray looked at her surprised. “You know them?” She nodded. “Yeah, I know them.” Funny, first she was looking for them, and then when she DOES find them, she doesn't know what to do.

All of them smirked when they saw her. Well, Kat smiled, but that's not the point. “Bree. So nice to see you here.” Bree nodded to Kat. Tara and Morika were looking at her while Faith was looking away, ignoring her. `Guess she's still not over what happened last time.' Bree thought.

She moved forward with Ray and Max by her side and walked with them as they all made their was up to the center of the ring which was covered at the moment, allowing the teams to both stand in the center. Bree walked straight and stood next to Kat with the Bladebreakers next to her while the announcers…well, announced their teams and the members.

Kat looked at her with a question that Bree already knew in her eyes. Ignoring the announcers, she talked to her. “I know what you want to ask. And my answer is… I guess I believe you now. I still think you guys are a little crazy, but I guess I wouldn't hurt to go along with it.” Morika and Tara had been listening and Tara smiled slightly at her while Morika whooped in joy, but not to loudly.

She threw her arm around Bree's shoulders and gave her a noogie. “I knew you'd come through!” Bree pushed her hand off her head and stepped out of her grasp. “Yeah, yeah.” Faith, who had been listening, smirked. `She may not be so bad after all…' not that she would ever voice that thought. She'd be damned before she let anyone think she was getting soft.

Bree looked over to Faith, whom she pegged as the sort of leader of the group, and saw her look at her out of the corner of her eyes and nod slightly in acknowledgement. She smiled at that. The announcers had apparently finished and the first match was between Max and Morika. It ended up as a tie.

Then Ray and Tara battled and Ray won. The winner of the first round would be determined in the next match. If the Bladebreakers won the round, they would win the match. If the Warriors won, it would be a tie and there would be default battle to see who would win. But they would deal with that if it happened. And it very well could since the next match was between Kai and Faith. It would be very close since both of them were almost equal in power. They stepped up to the dish and Faith smirked at Kai. “Ready to lose?” He glared back “I'm not gonna lose.” She shrugged indifferently, knowing it would piss him off. “Whatever you say. Just don't start cryin when I win.” His glare hardened and Faith smirked at this. `Perfect.'

They both attached their blades to their launchers. Faith's was black and blood red with a three point attack ring. They narrowed their eyes at each other as the countdown started.

“3…” Faith's eyes showed determination.

“2…” Kai's eye's narrowed even more. (o_0 could that be possible?)

“1…” They both gripped their launchers tightly.

“LET IT RIP!” Their beyblades shot into the dish and started to circle each other. Faith carefully watched Kai's blade. She glanced at him to see if he would give anything away about how he was going to attack. She saw nothing. Not even the slightest twitch. Not that she really expected anything.

She turned her eyes back to the dish just in time to see Kai's blade shoot forward and ram into hers. She cursed herself for not paying attention. Her blade was knocked backwards and it spun to the edge of the dish before spinning back to the middle. It was unsteady for a second before regaining its balance. Faith breathed an almost nonexistent sigh of relief.

Kai sneered at her. “You should pay more attention to the match rather than staring at your opponent Winters.” Faith's cheeks colored. Not from embarrassment but from rage. “I'll keep that in mind Hiwatari.” She ground out. Then she smirked at him just to aggravate him. “I was just looking to if you would slip and show me a clue about were your first attack would be aimed. You caught me off guard is all.” He glared dangerously at her and gritted his teeth but she remained unfazed.

She smirked triumphantly at him. `Just a little more…' She attacked and he dogged. He attacked, and she dogged. This went on for a minute before Faith became frustrated. `Obviously were gonna have to start calling out bit-beasts.'

“Saber!!!” Her bit-beast rose majestically and growled at Kai. Saber was a beautiful white silvery wolf with yellow eyes. Everyone stared in awe at her. Kai smirked. `So the onna (1) wants to bring out bit-beasts huh? Okay then…' “Dranzer!!” The proud red phoenix rose from her blade and screeched at Saber.

“Dranzer! Flame saber!” Dranzer shot towards Saber, fire gathering around her. Faith narrowed her eyes. “Saber! Ice blaze!!” A rain of ice came down on Dranzer and she screeched in pain. “Dranzer!” The raining ice stopped. Now was Faith's chance. “Saber! Shadow Flames!!” Flames started to surround Dranzer and Kai looked worried. “Dranzer!”

The flames swiped in and enclosed around Dranzer. A screech was heard and no one could distinguish if it was a screech of pain or not. Suddenly, the flames shot up higher and everyone looked confused. Then Dranzer flew up above the flames and they died down. Everyone looked at Dranzer in surprise. Faith most of all. `How did Dranzer escape?! Escape if nearly impossible!'

Kai smirked at her once he got over his obvious shock. “Heh. You forget that fire is Dranzers element. She created a barrier of her own fire to cancel out the effect of the attack. That's how she was able to escape.”

`Right Dranzer?'

-You are correct Master Kai-

Faith looked suddenly pissed. “Saber! Wolf strike!” Saber struck at Dranzer but she was able to dodge. `Heh, she attacks blinded by rage. She'll ware herself out soon attacking like that and I'll make my move then.' Faith stared at Kai as he was thinking this. She was acting. She wanted to make it seem like she was using all of her strength now in a blind attack.

`He'll never know what hit him…'

Kai watched as her blade started to slow down, weakened by her reckless attacks. `Now's my chance.' “Dranzer! Flame Saber!” Dranzer started swooping down towards Saber. Faith smirked. `Now.' Kai saw her smirk and narrowed his eyes. `What's she planning?' “Saber! Wolf Strike!” Kai's eyes widened as Saber darted forward and Dranzer and Sabers attacks hit head on. There was a huge flash of light and everyone had to shield their eyes or be blinded.

Faith and Kai were thrown back by the force of the blast. When the light faded, everyone slowly lowered their arms and looked to the dish. There was some smoke around the dish and everyone waited patiently as the smoke faded for the winner. Surely after an attack like that, one person would have lost, right?

Everyone held their breath as the smoke finally cleared to reveal the winner. Everyone gasped. There was only one blade in the dish still spinning, the other lay completely still. The owners of the blades got up and made their way to the dish to see the results. When they got there, their eyes rested upon the motionless blade and the one still spinning.

It was going in circles around the dishes rim, like victory laps. The only one still spinning was a black and blood red blade with a three pointed attack ring.

Faith had won the match.
