Beyblade Fan Fiction ❯ Daddy ❯ Epilogue ( Epilogue )
Faith: Ok, about the step dad thing, I began this straight after finishing the other one because I want to take advantage of this extra depressed mood I'm in.

An old man walked into his spacious backyard. It was more like his spacious woods as he owned all 129 acres of them. The kids knew better than to try and sneak into them as they knew wolves hunted and played there. And they'd also heard the story of a great ice wolf that lived with his master in that house. Many kids would come to see the once famous Tala Ivanov, and he would sign some autographs, give a few hugs, battle a few kids, train them, give them a few old toys, and a few hundred roubles to them. He became rich after Kai died. But he would still have referred Kai to the money.
But now, he walked to a small clearing in the woods, Wolborg by his side. He patted the wolfs head, grateful for the company. His hair still stuck out the way it had when he had been 16, but now, the once fiery red had dulled and paled, and after a while had turned pure white. His blue eyes had dulled also, making them misty, but they still held wisdom, and memories. The wolf licked his hand in recognition. He stopped walking; resting his weight on the cane he now needed to walk. He dug his free hand into his pocket and removed a bit chip. Tala released it, and out came Dranzer. Both Bitbeasts looked as young as they had for as long as they'd lived, and they would never age outside. But they know they are as old as time.
He leant off the stick and began to walk again until he reached the willow tree. Kai's tree. That was why he had had Kai buried under their. So he'd enjoy his tree. Kai's gravestone was like his mothers, although the words were different.
"do not shoot me in the heart as it is where I keep you and my mother, and you do not shoot me in the head as it is where I hold our memories, last night, and the brain that told me I could love you." Tala began reading out loud. His eyes brimmed with tears and a few fell out. He forced himself to continue. "Kai Hiwatari, an angel stolen from our grasp but never from our hearts."
He began to cry silently. He then turned to the second grave. It was Helens. He had had it brought here to be near Kai, but he had not flown in his father's grave. Voltaire could not protest because of Kai's quick thinking. Voltaire had been put to death by electric chair. Bryan was currently serving 9 life sentences, with no chance of parole, thanks to Tala's confession of rape and also raping then murdering Kai. They needed no evidence for either of those crimes.
Max and Tyson had confessed their love to each other a year after Kai's death, and the two lived happily until they were killed in a plane crash. They were killed at 23 and 24. It had been said that they had died in each others arms.
Ray had been secretly engaged to Mariah during the Russian tournament, and they had got married a few months later. Everyone noticed the missing presence of Kai, but no one mentioned it. They now have a son named Kai Alexander Kon, and 3 grandchildren, Lee, Michael and Charlotte Kon.
Kenny went on to become famous in the computer industry and got married to Emily. They were divorced 3 years into the marriage. This broke Kenny's heart and he shot himself. Emily's heart filled with guilt and she overdosed.
The Majestics were all married to rich and well to do girls from families with important social statuses. None of them are happy. Robert stayed away on business, Johnny tolerated it, Enrique cheated on his wife many times but she always took him back, and Oliver spent more and more time away opening restaurants.
The All-Starz all became legends in their separate sports. Michael had to quit due to too much partying, Steve died of a heart attack because of over-exertion, and Eddie played until his hip broke at the age of 42.
The White Tigers; minus Lee, all moved in with Ray. Kevin was put in jail for 4 years for shoplifting, but he didn't make it. He hung himself in his cell. Gary became a food tester and got poisoned. Lee got married and had 6 children, Angela, Melina, Tanya, Jody, Callum and Tala. Tala was honoured Lee had named one of his children after him. Lee is still living with his wife in China.
Tala was the only one who stayed alone. Ray offered to let him stay with him, but he refused, saying he needed to be in the woods. Alone. Ray agreed. Tala sighed and pulled a weed from the ground at Kai's grave. "89 years Kai. 89 years I've been without you." Tala sighed. "I know you're listening, you always are, so please, I'm asking you now, I'm 105 years old, please, come get me, and take me to you." He stood and began walking to his house. In the distance a wolf called, and a shadow passed over the moon. Tala looked up, and saw a majestic eagle flying past it. He frowned, he wanted to die. And the starts…all of them up there, mocking his loneliness, all of them having someone to be with. He was alone. He reached the door and slid it open with a hiss. He was very tired.
He wasn't entirely alone…he mused. He did have Monica. His sweet Monica. He had adopted her as a child. He found her outside a shop begging for food. He brought her home, spoiled her, and now, Monica had 2 boys, twins. Alexander and Stuart. Both shared their fathers red hair. But a very unusual trait…was their red eyes. So very much like Kais. She stayed with Tala, to take care of him. The boys and she would be sleeping. Yes that's right, she had no husband. Tala sat at the kitchen table, and pulled out 2 pieces of paper. On each of them he wrote a note to each boy, telling them of their birthday gift from him.
He smiled, as one goes out, two came in. he called Wolborg and Dranzer back into their chips and placed one in each note. He gave Alexander Dranzer, as Alexander had a fiery temper and was the oldest, by a few minutes. He gave Stuart Wolborg, as Stuart was exactly like him at that age. Alone, cold, but really just wanting someone. Tala knew someday Stuart would find that someone.
He crept into each of the boys' rooms' and placed it under each of their pillows. Then he headed to bed.
The next morning Stuart was the first one awake. He found the letter. "Sweet!" he shouted at the top of his voice and ran to his brother's room, jumping on his bed and waking him up. "Look what I got from Grampa!" he shouted, flashing the Wolborg bit chip. Alex was amazed.
"Think I got one?" he asked. Stuart nodded and pointed at the pillow.
"Mines was under my pillow." Alex looked and found the note, and Dranzer slipped out of the paper and fell onto the bed, glowing red. Alex looked up at Stu when he gasped in shock. "Dude, you got Dranzer. Wasn't that Kai Hiwatari's old blade?" he asked. Alex nodded.
"Grampa had it, this letter said he and Kai used to `be together' whatever that means, and when Kai died, Grampa took the chip and kept it. Wanna blade?" he asked cockily. Stu shook his head. "First we should thank Grampa."
Both rushed to their Grampa room and knocked on his door. They had searched the whole house and no one was up, which was strange seeing as the Grampa they knew was up very early every morning. They heard sobbing from inside the room. Alex poked his head in the door. "Mom? What's wrong?" he asked, seeing his mother on the floor, her head on Tala's chest.
"Boys, get out of here, come. We need to talk." She stated, ushering the boys out of the room and closing it. Tala lay on the bed, cold and very pale. He was smiling.
In the corner of the room, two figures stood, holding hands. Both were young again, red hair contrasting with the dark and light blue next to it. Tala turned to Kai. "I knew you'd come back for me." Kai smirked.
"Was there any ever doubt?"

Faith: And that's the end. The Oc's at the end aren't important, and the whole destiny bit, that was random ideas put together, I'm not saying Gary will die of food poisoning, I'm just scoping. Please review.
