Tyson's pov

“How you feelin buddy?” I asked. Kai was shocked.

“How'd I get here? Where is he?”

“You called me, but didn't answer. I heard you screaming and weird noises, so I went to your house and found you all beat up.”

“Where'd Michael go?”

“Who?”

“The guy that did this to me.”

“No one was there, but you. Not even...”

“...Not even the servants. I have to go.”

He grimaced in pain as he tried to get up. I pushed him back down. “Your not going anywhere. You can't even stand your leg is broken.”

“I have to.”

“No you don't. Your not leaving until the doctor gives the ok.”

We had a glaring contest for a few minutes. He must have been really tired, because he looked away first.

“Fine.” The doctor walked in a minute later.

“How is the patient today?”

“He's restless. He wants to go home as soon as possible. When will that be?” I asked.

“We'll keep him another day just to make sure he's really ok.” Turing to kai he said. “You are very lucky to have a friend like him. He's been by your side since he brought you in.”

“How long have I been here?”Kai asked.

“Four days unconscious.” Kai was shocked.

“Thank you doctor.” it was a dissmissal.

“I hope you are well Mr. Hitwari.” with a nod to me he was gone.

“Why?” kai asked.

“I.... thats what friendsdo. Listen Kai I know what I said the other day, and I didn't mean it. I was having a bad day, and.... I would be honored nif you would be my captain again. If you want to I mean.” I don't know if it was Kai or the painkillers but when he spoke it shocked me into silence.

“Thank you.”

He lay there withh his eyes closed so still he could have been dead. I concluded that he was just asleep, because of the gentle rise and fall of his chest. I got up and had my hand on the doorknob when he called me back.

“No. Stay.”

“Ok. i'm right here if you need me.” I sat back down.

“Thank you.”

Those words sound so beautiful coming from his mouth. Man I sound like Hilary when she's talking about her “boyfriend”. I need help. No. I need him. I wish I could tell him how I feel.

it's not fair why did I have to fall in love with someone who could never love me back? I know I should move on and find someone else, but I can't. I want him so bad. I know I should stop torturing myself by thinkig about him, and his sexy lips that always wind up in that sexy smirk. And his eyes. And-

“Tyson!Tyson!” Kai was calling my name.

“Uh, yeah?”

“Rei is here, amd he's trying to talk toyou.”

I looked around and saw Rei sitting on the foot of Kai's bed.

“Oh sorry my mind has been wondering a lot lately.” I apoligized.

“I've noticed.” Rei laughed.” I was just saying that maybe you should go home and get some rest. you look about ready to calpsed. I have everythingf covered here.”

That's when I noticed that Rei's hand was reting on Kai's leg, and some thoughts i'm ashamed of crossed my mind. I'll admitt it I was very jealous. No one but Rei was allowed to touch him. I want to be able to touch him like that. Maybe Rei and Kai are more than just friends, and my chances of winning him over just dropped to zero.

“Yeah that sounds good. Thanks Rei. Feel better Kai. I'll see you guys later.” I said before leaving.

Oh no I can't believe it! I'm actually crying! See what you do to me Kai. I neverb thought anyone could have so much power over me.
