Chapter 3: Kai and Tala

Kai wondered the streets. He was 'home'. No more tournaments, no more Takao, no more pressure.

The Street Shark had all but broken up. Sure they could still be seen together, every now and again, but the team didn't represent the same thing anymore.

Kai didn't care. Less mindless fools to deal with. He eventually wondered up to his Grandfather's mansion. He stopped infront of it. He took a deep breath.

'Here goes...' He thought to himself.

He was sure he had been disowned. He directly disobeyed orders and he refused to do what he was trained to.

He entered the main gate, no problem. The door was unlocked, he entered the house.

"Kai. You've returned." He Grandfather's voice boomed.

Kai sunk a bit. That was another thing, he had become softer. He cared.

"Go and gather your things. You have a trip to make." The voice commanded. "And pack warm."

Kai headed directly to his room. He did as he was told, he didn't feel like arguing.

'You have no idea where you are going. You best pack anything with meaning. Who knows when you'll be back..." Kai thought to himself. '... If you come back...'

He packed clothes, a few snacks, his launcher, Dranzer went in his pocket, and he placed two pictures on top of everything in his suitcase. One was of him and the rest of the Bladebrakers, the other when he was younger. He was hanging on Tala's shoulder, smiling. Tala also had a smile.

He took his things downstairs and his Grandfather had him out and gone just as quick. Kai never saw him. Next he knew, he was on a plane When it landed he slowly exited, hoping to get some clue as to where he was.

What he saw, told him where he was. It was Tala. He was sporting quite a mischievous grin.He had to be in the Abby.

'No! Why did he send me back?! Why?' He questioned himself.

'You're being punished for disobedience, stupid!' His brain yelled back.

"Welcome Kai. I'll show you to your new room." Tala said, still smiling.

On their way there they walked past Ian, Spencer, and Bryan. They were in the training room. Along with a group of Rookies.

"Push it! Slacker!" Bryan yelled.

Things had intensified since last time he was here.

"Kai!" Boris exclaimed and took hold of the boy's arm.

He placed a cuff around his wrist and then one on Tala's. Tala didn't object at all. Kai on the other hand looked at it with confusion.

"It's to keep you in line. You can not leave Tala's eye sight. Trust me, you don't want to know what happens if you do." Boris said with an evil grin.

Kai looked at him with pure shock. That would make privacy very difficult.

"Continue."

Tala started walking. Kai didn't move right away but realized he better and jogged up to Tala.

"Here." He said and opened the door.

It was a semi-large room. Two of everything. Except beds. There was only one King Size Bed.

"Tala... There is only one bed..." Kai started.

"So?" Tala grinned. It gave Kai a shiver.

Kai walked over and placed his bag at the end of the bed. Just as he was going to turn from the bed he was pushed onto it.

"Kai. It's time to finish what I started as a child." Tala said and climbed on top of Kai.

He bent down, his face inches from Kai's.

"It's not just a harmless little kid game, Kai." He whispered and pressed his face into Kai's.

Their lips met and Tala just pressed into him, making movement impossible for him. Tala pinned Kai's hands above his head, holding them at the wrists with one of his hands. The other trailed down Kai's side to his waist. Tala parted from his lips.

"Kai... I want you." Tala spoke quietly. "That's why I said I would keep you in line. Don't mess this up for us."

Kai shook his head. "I won't." He said timidly.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, this is what Kai always wanted.

Tala returned to Kai's lips and his hand continued it's journey...
