CHAPTER 6: The clock ticks life away_
Tala had woken to an awful and sick laughter. When he focussed on the person laughing he saw this huge man with an ugly amount of muscles bulging out on every inch of his upper body. The shirt he wore looked as though it would rip at any minute. Tala, realising that he probably wasn't in a very good situation, tried to move. When he couldn't move, he looked at his hands and feet and focussed until his tired eyes saw clearly. He was strapped down to the table or whatever it was he was lying on. He looked back at the man, who was looking back at him. Tala became aware of the fact that the room was filled with whips and knives and even a few guns and other dangerous weapons. He then tried to figure out where he was, he noticed that there were no windows, and terrible lighting in the tiny round room. Cobwebs were hanging all along the ceiling of the room, which for some reason appeared to be abnormally high. It was then that Tala realised that he was in the tower of the abbey,
`And this must be Worik…' Tala cut his thoughts off when he noticed that Worik was standing and staring at him, with a look that Tala could have sworn was perverted. Tala's fear filled him completely when Worik bent over him and sniffed his neck.
Worik- “You are very pretty boy Tala Ivanov.” he spoke in a gruff Russian voice, “ You are prettier than the Kai boy.”
Tala had decided that yes, it was definitely the same guy Kai had told him about, and that this guy was a dumb Russian given an easy job.
Worik turned around and picked up a knife the size of his own palm, which wasn't small.
Tala watched as Worik came nearer to him gripping the knife tightly. At that moment Tala closed his eye's and prayed that it would be quick and painless. When he opened his eyes again, Worik was standing and staring down at him.
Worik ripped Tala's jacket open and slipped the black shirt Tala wore up, just enough to reveal Tala's washboard stomach. He lowered the knife until it was a few inches above Tala's navel. He then applied pressure and dragged the knife up a few more inches causing a slight cut that turned red before releasing some blood. Tala winced, first because the knife was really cold on his pale skin, but then from the stinging of the knife cutting into his flesh. Tala was still okay, he was willing to go through a bit of pain if it meant him living, but his heart pumped wildly in his chest when he noticed Worik lowering his head to Tala's stomach. Tala began to squirm wildly where he lay as he felt Worik's mouth sucking and licking the wound on his stomach. He screamed a couple of times but the echoes of his voice only made it worse. Worik pulled away and licked his lips like a vicious animal that was about to devour his prey.
Worik- “You're blood is bitter, this good…I like.”
Tala- “Get away from me you sick freak!!”
Tala could feel the tears rush into his eyes as the great hairy man laughed at him.
Just then there was a knock on the door of the tower room. Worik growled and stomped out of the room angrily slamming the door behind him.
Tala continued to squirm desperately, hoping that somehow he could get free and get away. But just then Worik walked in, the smile on his face worried Tala to no end. Tala screamed for help over and over again, but only he could here his distressed voice.
Tala fell absolutely silent when he felt Worik unbuckling his pants. In that instant Tala knew where this was going and he somehow couldn't find his voice anymore. He felt Worik's hand slip into his pants slowly, Tala's tears streamed down his face like a river, it was a silent cry, scared whimpers coming from Tala as he felt Worik's hand massaging him slowly. Tala felt at that moment that he wanted to die, that he would end his own life the first chance he got. As Worik continued, his rough hand massaging harder and harder, Tala could no longer hold it. He screamed a cry that went beyond the doors of the abbey's entrance; it was so loud that Tala's voice cracked half way through.
Worik laughed and laughed, when all Tala could do was cry and squirm. Worik removed his hand, slowly sliding his hand over Tala's stomach, but the smile never left his face.
He then did something that scared Tala as much as it gave him hope. Worik untied the straps that held Tala down. He then grabbed Tala to a standing position, then punched Tala to the ground. Tala instantly spat and coughed blood after a kick to his chest as he lied on the floor. His head spun, and so did the room. Tala closed his eye's once again hoping he could go free so that he could end his life, when he heard a belt buckle opening, Woriks belt buckle, then came a zip. Tala's scared blue eye's shot up to look at Worik, who was smiling sadistically. He no longer held any weapons in his hand; he just stood there, watching Tala.
Immediately Tala scrambled on the floor to get away, but Worik grabbed him by the back of his pants and held him in place. Worik got down on his knees as Tala once again screamed out as loud as he could. In that instant, Tala thought of every beating, and every time he was locked up and even when he was nearly killed, Tala realised that he would go through it all a million times over, rather than suffer what was about to happen to him. He would do it all again if he could keep the innocents that he had not even shared with a girl or woman. He continued to cry. His last scream was for Kai, a desperate cry for help.
Kai ran up the stairs to the tower, he could hear Boris and his men running behind him, but he didn't care. He finally reached the top of the stairs and he ran straight to the door and practically broke it down to get in. When Kai entered and he saw Worik holding a hysterical Tala down on the floor, Kai just saw the blood on Tala's mouth. He grabbed the nearest weapon he could find, which was a pole, and hit Worik across his face with all his strength.
Worik fell to the floor, but didn't stop moving. Kai grabbed Tala and held him. Tala held onto Kai for dear life. The two boys sitting once again in each other's comforting arms. Tala's entire body shook from fear, as the tears he cried didn't want to stop.
Kai noticed Worik getting up but he refused to let go of Tala.
Worik- “You will die now boy…”
His voice was cold and menacing as he looked at Kai and approached. Kai just shut his eyes; he'd rather die with Tala than die apart.
Boris reached the door of the room at that moment. He looked around and saw Kai holding Tala, the two boys on the floor. He then looked at Worik, who hadn't noticed Boris standing there. He saw Worik approaching the boys but then he noticed other things, like Worik's open belt buckle, and Tala's untidy appearance, which was very unusual. He then saw that Tala's jacket was open and Tala's pants seemed open as well. Boris immediately knew what had been going on, and his anger rushed straight to his head.
Boris- “Worik! What the hell is going on here?!”
Worik spun around, the fear of Boris's voice evident on his face.
Worik- “I…uh, was…um…”
Boris slapped him and it echoed all through the room.
Boris- “I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!” he shouted in Worik's face.
Worik- “I was only…just…”
Another slap, harder this time. Boris's ring cutting Worik's flesh on his cheek.
Boris- “Get out of my site you disgusting animal! I don't ever want to see you're ugly face again! GET OUT!!!”
Worik practically ran out of the room. Boris looked at his four guards he had brought with him,
Boris- “Kill him.”
They all nodded and left the room quietly. Kai had been watching the whole scene. He never once thought he'd witness Boris coming to their defence, but when Boris stood up to Worik, Kai suddenly felt a new hate for Boris. He despised the fact that he needed Boris to help him, it made him feel like a traitor to the Demolition Boys.
Boris looked down at Kai and Tala.
Boris- “Are you alright Tala? What did he do to you?”
Kai looked at Tala who was curled up in his arms. Tala tried to speak, but it was hard through all his crying,
Tala- “He…sick man…t…touch…touching me…disgusting…kill myself…I want to kill…”
They could both only make out pieces of what Tala was saying, but to Kai every word sounded horrible. He held Tala tighter as the tears flowed harder again.
Boris- “Well, he'll never touch you or any of my boys again. Sick bastard.”
Kai- “WHY DO YOU CARE!?” he shouted angrily at Boris.
Boris looked at Tala and then at Kai who was looking at him with intense hatred. Boris took his goggles off his face and looked directly into Kai's eye's,
Boris- “I may be cruel Kai, possibly even cold and evil. But I am not sick…not in that sense. He deserves to die, and that's the bottom line.”
Boris placed his goggles back on his face,
Boris- “However Kai, our little war isn't over. I will still deal with you and Tala for you're little game that you played. But while I allow him time to recover from that…traumatising episode,” Boris sounded angry when he mentioned what happened with Tala, “I will just have to play my own game…with Brian and Ian. You help him recover, I have a feeling he wants you to be with him.” he left the room.
Kai- “Its alright Tala, I'll take care of you, stop crying…” he whispered to Tala as he comforted him. Tala continued to hold onto Kai, his mind racing with its usual frenzy of thoughts. Suicide still in his head…but for how long would he want to kill himself before Boris continued to try and kill all of them?
