Rei tries to get Kai's attention by asking Johnny out. It works and Kai gets jealous. But what happens when Rei finds an unexpected love? There will be lemons. I think…

Jealous?

 

 

Rei sat back in his chair, admiring the view while getting a tan. He was lounging on a chair on the pool side, practically drooling over a certain Russian, wearing sun glasses to make sure Kai never noticed he was watching him. Max and Tyson where both yelling and having fun, splashing each other, while Kenny typed away on Dizzy. Rei sighed in annoyance. The Blade Breaker's where in France, staying with Oliver, on vacation. Oliver and his fellow team mates, the Majestic's, had invited them to have a mini tournament, nothing special, and Kai, as their leader, hadn't objected. Now Rei sat there, in the full summer sun, gazing longingly at the man he could never have. Kai.

 

The neko-jin looked up curiously as the patio door opened, his eyes meeting the form of Johnny, the fiery hot head of the Majestic's team. Johnny, catching Rei's eye, walked over and sat beside the tanning cat, venturing on a conversation.

 

“Nice weather here in France, eh?” He coughed, blushing slightly. “It doesn't get this warm in Scotland.” His hands were shaking slightly, and he clenched them. “What's the weather like in China?” Johnny asked awkwardly, searching for small talk.

 

“It really depends on where you live. But where I'm from, it's generally warm.” Rei said offhandedly, still looking at Kai, unbeknownst to the red head.

 

“That's….nice…” Johnny trailed off, not knowing what to say. He wasn't one for polite conversation, that had always been Oliver's forte. He coughed again and looked away from the hot tanned body that was Rei, gulping slightly. If only he was better with words. Maybe then he could woo Rei over with his sweet poetry. He scoffed at the notion. Definitely Oliver's forte. He would just have to find some other way to win Rei over.

 

Johnny sighed and leaned back in the chair, thinking of ways the he could engage Rei in conversation. Nothing coming to mind, he simple sat beside his dream man, wishing desperately that Rei would just come to him.

 

Rei sighed also, wishing also that he had some way to win his love. Kai seemed so isolated though, and it would be hard for Rei to break through his icy heart. Maybe he could seduce him…No, that wouldn't work; Kai would never give in to that. Maybe he could make him jealous…

 

A wide grin spread over Rei's face. That was the perfect plan! He looked over at Johnny, the grin slowly melting into a smirk. He knew exactly how he would do it. He was well aware of Johnny's hopeless crush on him. Maybe he could use it to his advantage…

 

The neko-jin turned to Johnny, and innocent look on his face. “Hey, Johnny…I, uhh, have something I want to tell you.”

 

Johnny looked at Rei, startled out of his thoughts, an inquisitive look on his face. “Yes, Rei?”

Rei stammered, not really wanting to say what he was about to say, but needing to say it. “I-I just…wanted to tell you…” He coughed and blushed a deep red. “I like you Johnny.” He choked out, looking away from the now openmouthed red-head. Johnny blinked quickly, his mouth opening in closing in amazement, a startled look on his face.

 

“Re-Really?” He stammered out, staring at Rei like he had to heads. Rei looked back at him, the blush still on his face. “Um….yah…I…Like you a lot, Johnny. I was…” He coughed to cover the gorge that was rising in his voice, chocking him. “I was wondering if you'd like to….uhh….Go out some time?” Rei winced. What a stupid thing to ask, they were on vacation, he lived in China and Johnny lived in Scotland. I didn't matter though, because the seductive neko had Johnny eating out of his hand.

 

“Of course Rei! I'd love to. I've liked you for a long time to tell the truth.” Johnny blushed slightly at his confession. He couldn't believe his luck! Rei liked him! And Rei had made the first move; this made everything so much easier for him.

 

Rei looked at Johnny's face. He was unbelievably happy about Rei asking him out. The bladebreaker was beginning to feel bad about seducing Johnny just to make Kai jealous. Playing with Johnny's feeling seemed wrong. He wished he had thought this through first, rather than being selfish and not considering Johnny's feelings. It was too late now though. He would just have to go with it, and hope that he got Kai to notice.

 

Kai did indeed notice. He had heard every word that had been passed between his rival in battle, Johnny, and his secret crush, Rei. The jealousy that rushed into him was enough to make his whole body quiver with rage. How could Rei like Johnny!? He barely knew the boy! What about him, Kai!? Then, when Kai thought about it, he realized he had given Rei no reason to believe that Kai thought Rei even existed, let alone that he liked the Chinese blader. He sighed loudly and swam another lap, coming back only to see Rei talking animatedly to Johnny, holding hands like an old married couple. Kai just wanted to jump out of the pool and punch Johnny in the face for daring to touch Rei. He took a deep breath and controlled himself. The tall Russian stepped out of the pool, his long slate colored band hanging into his eyes.

 

Rei looked up only to see a very well sculpted body stepping out of the pool, dripping wet and as sexy as could be. He felt his own body warm up slightly as heat rushed to his face and other places. His golden eyes caught with the deep red eyes of Kai and he shivered. Kai looked pissed….Really pissed. Like `I'm going to kill someone' pissed. He watched keenly through his sunglasses as Kai walked over to his chair and violently picked up his towel. Rei vaguely noted that Johnny was still talking as he watched Kai stalk angrily back inside, slamming the patio door shut. Tyson and Max looked up as the door slammed.

 

“Geeze! What got up his ass?” Tyson asked humorously. Max laughed at Tyson, his bright blue eyes shinning in merriment, splashing his friend and lover full in the face. Rei smiled at them, then turned back to Johnny, wonder what had indeed, gotten up Kai's ass.
