Part four

Kai was watching his daughter from his spot under the big tree on the hill nearby.She was beyblading against Max,and he could see that she was really talented at the sport,even though she was only four years old.Max was in real deep shit now,he thought,his lips curving into a smile.

She was really an adorable girl,he had to admit.She was bubbly,funny,friendly,so vibrant and full of life.Shortly said,all the things Kai was not.He turned his head away.He could not allow himself to turn all sappy now.Someone had to be the boss in their group,right?

The truth was that she scared him.It scared the heck out of him that she was who she was,his daughter.He did not like all the responsibility taking care of her would bring.He was not ready to look after a little kid like Kaisa.And besides,he did not want anyone to break through his wall.That was just the way he was.Of course he cared for his team.After all,they were his best buddies.And they knew that he cared,so he would not have to show it to them.

His attention was drawn back to the battle when the two opponent`s bit-beasts entered the battle.He had seen Dracil many times before,but Kaisa`s bit-beast...it completely took his breath away.The girl`s bit-beast was a dolphin-like creature,wild and beautiful.It was glowing with some kind of gentle and warm silwery colour.He could feel that the girl`s bit-beast made his own Dranzer uneasy.The two bit-beasts crashed into each other,and sparks flew everywhere.

Max`s defenses barely held.He fought back,and was able to end the fight without loosing to the little girl in front of him.
The others cheered and clapped their hands.Kaisa laughed and picked up her beyblade.Tyson took her into his arms and ruffled her hair.She smiled as brightly as ever.Then she saw Kai.So she wawed at him.He got up on his feet and left his usual spot in the shadow of the tree.

After dinner that day,they decided to play hide and seek.Lee was the one who had to seek for them,and everyone else ran to hide.Where can I hide so that Lee wont find me?Kaisa thought to herself.Kaisa remembered seeing an old pavilion nearby the day she arrived here,and decided that was the right place to hide.

Kai growled.There was no place in this damn house you could have some moments peace!When he went to the bey-room,he found that Rei was there.In the kitchen he found Max,appearently hiding behind the fridge.When Kai gave him a weird glare,he explained that they were playing hide and seek,and it was Mariah who was seeking this round(yeah,this is a little later on,but they still have not found Kaisa,but continued anyways).
Kai rolled his eyes and left the house.He went to the old pavilion.There were never anyone there.

To his great surprise,that was where he found Kaisa.She was lying on the bench,asleep.He sat down beside her.She must have grown tired of waiting for someone to find her,he thought with a little smile.He sighed.He should not be blaming her,he knew that.This whole thing was his fault anyways,his mistake.After all,she was just a kid.His kid,he corrected.

Carefully he reached out a hand to touch her.Kaisa was clutching an old,blue bunny to her chest,while smiling in her sleep."She has my bunny?"he thought."She can keep it".

The sun would go away in a little while,and it would not be as warm any more.He did not want her to catch a cold or anything.So he lifted her up in his arms as carefully as possible and went back to the house.

She opened her eyes,she could feel that she was moving now.Someone was carrying her.Then she saw the strands of blue,spikey hair.
"Daddy?"she thought.She yawned and put her arms around his neck before going back to sleep again.

Strangely enough,Kai did not bump into any of the others on his way back in.He went to Rei and Mariah`s place,and put Kaisa down on the couch.Then he grabbed a blanket and tucked her in.On the way back to his own room,he fell deeply into his own thoughts.The little girl had started to break through his defences,he knew that.And there was nothing he could do about it.There was no way he could go all sappy!He just could not!

The game had developed into a search for Kaisa.She was either really good at hiding,or lost somewhere.They had called out her name for a while now,searching everywhere,but still had not found her.

"I am just going to put on a sweater,guys!"Mariah called out and went inside.She was very surprised to find kaisa sleeping on the couch.

"Poor little one,Mariah thought,she must have gotten so tired she decided to go back inside".

But why had she not told them the game was over?Carefully she closed the door behind her and went to tell the others that the search was off.
