Beyblade Fan Fiction ❯ Life or death in battle ❯ 1. The Beginning ( Chapter 1 )

Chapter One - The Beginning ...
Boris watched the young boy’s training intently, scrutinizing his every move carefully. The boy looked every bit the perfect beyblader; he was perfect. Very soon he would be put to the test.
Ken had been trained ever since he could hold a launcher and pull the rip cord, ever since he was two. He was part of Biovolt’s secreat project, to create the ultimate beyblader, with training beginning from as young as possible.
Not even the Demolition Boys knew about him. Kai didn’t even know that his younger brother was a part of Biovolt. But they would definitely had heard his name. Ken had become the World Champion seven years ago, when he was only seven. He was the youngest beyblader in history to be that powerful. After that, he had sunk back into his training, to prepare for a mission.
A mission he must not fail.
......
Tala paced the room tensely, occasionally glancing at his teammates. They were all less nervous than him. But then again, they didn’t know what was going on in his mind.
“I would greatly appreciate it if you would sit down,” Bryan said coldly. “You are extremely annoying.”
Tala paced the length of the room a few more times before finally sitting down next to Ian who looked extremely bored and was staring blankly into space.
“Boris said that if this guy beats us all, he’s captain of the team,”he muttered, his teeth gritted.
“What?” Ian said, not listening whole - heartedly.
“No one’s that strong,” Spencer said reasonably.
“But Kai did take on the whole All Starz at once,” Tala said, wondering faintly why on earth he was talking about Kai when he had joined the briefly last year.
“Idiot,” Bryan muttered, actually referring to both Tala and Kai.
“Don’t worry,” Ian assured him, although he didn’t quite understand the situation. “The All Starz weren’t expecting to battle him, they didn’t have any stupid data on Black Dranzer, they were panicky after their two losses,” he ended with a smirk. He had defeated Steve in the first round.
A bell clanged in the distance, summoning them to the training room. Tala, for some reason, glared at his teammates before walking out.
The team went into the training room, where a large stone dish was built into the floor. There was a boy standing at one end, holding a launcher. Boris was standing at the side, smirking slightly.
“Get ready,” he said curtly. “Now!”
The five beyblades launched together, The Demolition Boys’ beyblades quickly moved into attack formation to finish off their opponent.
Their opponent did not seem unnerved. He was smirking, his eyes narrowed. He moved his head very slightly.
His black beyblade responded instantly. It barreled towards the four beyblades, bent at an angle. Its speed was incredible; only a blur could be seen.
The battle ended even before it could really begin. The Demolition Boys’ beyblades flew out of the dish, much to their shock.
Boris nodded curtly. Just as he’d expected. He turned to the Demolition Boys, who were staring at their beyblades in diebelief.
“Boys, this is your new captain. Ken Hiwatari.”
Tala stared angrily at Wolborg.
