Kara wandered down one of the various halls of the headquarters humming a little melody to her self.

 

“I'm surprised that you remember that song…” Naomi said as she exited a room labeled recreational room.

 

“How could I forget the lullaby the two of you made for us?” Kara replied with a small smile.

 

“…will she kill them?” Kara asked in a sad tone.

 

“I don't know…”

 

“You mean…” Kara's eye's lit up.

 

“I'm sorry Kara but I can't tell you. I'm not quite sure myself and I can't tell you what she will do, don't get you hopes up.”

 

“I understand…”

 

 

-Abbey-

 

Selein and Kai had made it to the control room quietly and with out much incident. Suddenly Selein grabbed Kai's wrist and turned his palm upward.

 

“What are…” he stopped in mid sentence when she dropped a hand size blue velvet bag into his hand.

 

“You'll need it later.” She said and entered the control room to dispatch the men inside. Kai opened the bag and found a highly advanced beyblade and launcher.

 

When he entered the control he found that Selein had already taken out the guards and was looking through the files in the main computer.

 

“Took you long enough...”

 

“Why did you give this to me?” Kai held the bag in front of her.

 

“Because… you'll need it.” She replied and pushed the bag out her way.

 

“Dranzer is gone, there's no point of me having it.” He said in an annoyed tone.

 

“She'll return to you sooner or later.”

 

Kai blinked a few times before deciding not to question her about it. He never got an answer out of her anyway.

 

“Find anything?” Kai asked turning his attention to the computer.

 

“Nothing important yet…” Selein replied finishing scanning a few files and started to scan a few more.

 

“Wait a minute…” Selein mumbled as she stopped at a large file.

 

“What is it?” asked Kai as she hacked into the file.

 

“Don't know, we'll find out in less than a minute…” she replied.

 

“Got it!” Selein said with a smirk, as the file started to boot up.

 

“Is that…” Kai looked at the screen.

 

“Oh my God…” Selein whispered in shock.

 

“K-Kerrie…” Kai nearly stumbled to see the girl's picture on the screen.

 

A 15-year-old girl was displayed upon the screen. She had a blank expression upon her face with auburn hair hanging into her eyes slightly. The girl carried a look of deep hurt and betrayal, her eyes had a look of permanent cobwebs hanging over them, making them misty amber instead of just amber, yet it seemed to make her look even more innocent. A deep red scar of a squashed `Z' was carved under her left eye. The girl wore something rather Chinese instead of Russian, which was her distinctive background. Her attire was of a red, full body dress that reached her mid-thighs and was slit up to her hips. Underneath the slit dress, she wore a white skirt. Crimson colored, knee-high, boots encased her legs. Her skin was pale for the average person and aside from her outfit; she wore a pair of fingerless black gloves and a silver locket.

 

A full record of the girl was listed below including her name, age, hair color, eye color, blood-type, etc.

 

Kai's fingers brushed the screen gently as he began shivering slightly. “Kerrie…” the word rolled off his tongue and seemed to melt away in the air, filling it with a dead silence.

 

“Yeah, I know…she looks so…different…” Selein mumbled; staring at the girl's such changed features.

 

The Kerrie she had known once before had always been shy, but not broken. Her amber eyes had always glittered happily and her blading style had depended on speed and endurance, not attack; never had it been attack, not once…

 

“What did they do to you…?” Kai mumbled, his eyes faltering, running a finger over her picture upon the computer.

 

“Well, well, well…” Boris came slipping into the room. “Don't worry; I'm not here to catch either of you.”

 

Kai growled, crouching down a bit to ready him to strike. Selein did the same and eyed the purple-haired man dangerously.

 

“Come,” he motioned them to follow him.

 

Kai and Selein exchanged looks then followed, ready to lash whenever necessary.

 

-Head Quarters-

 

“They're not back yet and it's been quite a long ti—Cherise!” Lynn shot out of her chair and gaped at the girl who had appeared on her communication screen.

 

“Lynn!” the female was somewhere around 16 and 17 years of age. She had long, brown, semi-curly/wavy hair. The long mass of hair was held in a ponytail that reached her shoulder blades. Her aquamarine colored eyes shined and she smiled.

 

The girl wore a loose, airy, long-sleeved shirt along with a long skirt. It was simple along with her hoop earrings and golden bangles around her wrist. A belt was fastened around her waist with a launcher and a beyblade pouch.

 

“How is it, got any news?” The Chinese asked.

 

“Yeah, but you won't believe it! Kerrie's been using—”

 

-Abbey-

 

“Black Dranzer!” Selein gasped with shock as she recognized the acid green and black blade swirl around the dish.

 

“Kerrie…” Kai dropped to his knees as he recognized the flurry of auburn colored hair.

 

“Ebony Flame!” the voice was soft yet dangerous and venomous.

 

Black flames erupted from the bit chip and an ebony bird plated with golden armor (I think Oo;) flashed into view. The flames encircled the bey-stadium and soon, engulfed it into a dome. Spirals appeared from the giant ebony dome and created havoc to a large scale within.

 

“Kerrie!” Kai banged against the glass just as the flame died to show the semi-melted blade.

 

“No…” Selein turned away, concealing the hurt in her eyes.

 

The auburn-haired girl turned to look at the sound of cracking glass. She froze and her eyes seemed to sparkle for half a second.

 

“Kerrie,” Boris motioned for her.

 

The Russian came to them and stood beside him silently, staring at the ground, Black Dranzer spinning around her feet.

 

“What the hell were you thinking…?” Kai hissed, glaring at her with his crimson eyes.

 

The 15-year-old narrowed her own eyes. “I don't understand you. Please don't speak to me, I do not know you…” she said coolly and turned to leave.

 

Kai lashed out one of his hands and grabbed her around the shoulder tightly. “Don't you dare leave, not now, not again; never again.”

 

Selein watched them silently, knowing the untended and once alive relationship between the two teens.

 

Kerrie said nothing, she stood still like petrified wood. Turning around, she looked up at Kai, her amber eyes blazing with determination. “Let go of me.” She stated coldly.

 

“No,” the male replied with equal chill.

 

“Fine…Kai…Hiwatari Kai…please, let go of me…” she mumbled.

 

Kai said nothing, continuing to stare at her; he made to touch her face.

 

Flinching away, Kerrie shook her head. “No…just…no, Kai, please, don't.” She looked up at him and pulled herself away from his grasp.

 

The Russian male said nothing. “Fine, Selein, we're leaving,” he mumbled.

 

Selein nodded and together, they left back to the icy tunnel.

 

-Head Quarters-

 

“You getting all of this?” Cherise asked, continuing to upload data into the DA hard drive.

 

“Yeah, can't believe any of it though.” Lynn mumbled, scanning the data with her sapphire eyes flashing around.

 

“Neither can I, I mean, really. Kerrie didn't even train to use that blade, she just…used it.” Cherise's voice faltered and the screen shut off.

 

“Crap!” Lynn cursed and immediately began saving all of the data.

 

The door to the control room slid open and Rei walked in nervously. “Erm…hey…” he grinned sheepishly.

 

Lynn turned around and blinked. “Oh, hi,” she smiled and stood up. “What brings you here to my lovely station?” she asked.

 

“Just looking around,” he smiled back.

 

“Sorry about that, I know you're with that pink-haired girl…what was her name again…erm…dun remember though…” she mused silently, searching her brains for the name.

 

“Mariah?” the male flinched. “I don't like her, she likes me,” he grumbled, somewhat distastefully.

 

Lynn chuckled.

 

“You never laugh out loud or giggle do you?” Rei purred, stepping towards her.

 

“Nmm…never like it much I guess,” she slurred as Rei laced his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.

 

“Lynn! Get back to work!” Naomi scowled, walking in on the two neko-jins.

 

“Mew!” the female Asian pulled Rei's arms off of her and sat back down. “Dway bu chi, Yuai-Li Jieh! (1)”

 

The Russian rolled hr eyes and kicked Rei out. “Seduce her on her free time,” she hissed venomously.

 

Lynn blushed and continued working with the technology.

 

-Back through the Tunnel-

 

“So…um…” it seemed harder for the two to exchange words now. Kai hadn't spoken a word or even sighed.

 

Kai looked at her, his grey eyes hazier than before, telling the black-haired girl that he didn't wish to talk. So just like that, they walked back to Head Quarters with, unbeknownst to them, old news of Kerrie.

 

-Head Quarters-

“Hey, guys got anything?” Terra asked walking towards them to greet them as the two walked in.

 

Kai grunted, retiring to his room.

 

“What's wrong with him?” the American asked timidly.

 

“…Get Naomi and call for a meeting…” Selein managed.

 

Nodding, Terra rushed off to find their captain.

 

-Meeting Hall-

 

“All right, we've got news. A girl has been using Black Dranzer and has unlocked two new attacks. The only one we know is Ebony Flame, which from description, we've managed to create virtually.” Naomi said coolly.

 

The same picture of black flames appeared on the screen virtually.

 

The Bladebreakers flinched. Terra squeaked. Kai and Selein said nothing while Lynn mumbled technical talk with Shidoroshi.

 

“Anyways, we have to brace ourselves with this at the next tournament, expect to come from Kerrie, no one else, not Tala, Brian, Spencer, or Ivan (Ian…).”

 

Terra, Shidoroshi and the rest of the other teams seemed to be the only ones unaware of this.

 

“Kerrie? The innocent girl who used the Morph Bit Beast Zetsui? The same girl that was always near Naomi and Selein? ” Terra asked.

 

“Morph? Kerrie? Who the hell is she?” Tyson piped up.

 

“Iaanrei Kerrie was someone we knew at the Abbey. We left after she was taken away to be broken. She was happy at that time and she and Kai had a little relationship between them, I had kept an eye on her with the rest of them while we were at the abbey and Selein had saved her a few times from some older kids at the abbey. We never saw her again but apparently, she is alive and Kai and Selein met her today.” Naomi sighed.

 

Kai said nothing but stood up, and left.

 

“Lynn, explain the rest,” Alpha stepped down as the Chinese stepped up.

 

“All right! We've got a spy working for us right now and she also holds Cherokee, the Second Mythical Beast. There are 5 Spirits: Light, Darkness, Thunder, Ice and Fire. We interpreted my last prophecy and concluded that we have to use them to steady the seal that contains Black Dranzer. We don't know who holds Light, or its name yet; Brooklyn holds Darkness, Zeus; I hold Thunder, Chimerex; Kara holds Ice, Tundra Wolf (If you could, I would appreciate it if you could change it to Aaska Oo;); Terra holds Fire, Salamandra. These spirts are the first keys to the seals protection.” Finishing her recital, she breathed.

 

“We need the 3 Mystical Beasts, 2 already owned and known. Illusion belongs to Zetsui, which Kerrie used to hold but Kai holds right now, Dream is with Cherokee who Cherise has, we know Tear is with Allenjia, but we don't know who holds that one. The only other fact that we know for Allenjia is that it's a bird Bitbeast which morphs into a faerie. They are the last keys to the seals protection.”

 

Then there are the four guardians Order, Chaos, Life and rebirth. Shidoroshi holds Order, Hirobe; Selein holds Chaos, Raven Moon; Kai holds rebirth, Dranzer and Naomi holds life, Kitann. As for what the purpose of the Guardians, we don't really know…”

 

“If Naomi is life. Than why is her Bitbeast all dark and evil?” Tyson asked, everyone looked at him.

 

“What?” he asked in confusion

 

“Life is based on the perspective of it's keeper.” Selein answered, ending the odd silence.

 

Everyone, besides the DA members, seemed thoroughly confused.

 

Johnny mumbled something under his breath and looked at Terra as they were excused.

 

The American looked at him and smiled, taking his outstretched hand, he dragged her off outside.

 

Terra made a small stop by her room and slipped in. Changing quickly into something she usually wouldn't wear, the girl slipped into a skirt, knee-high boots, and a spaghetti strap. Slipping on a blouse over the red under-shirt, she laced up the ribbon around her waist and pulled on some arm warmers before running outside again to face Johnny.

 

“Done,” she smiled, tying up her semi-short hair so bangs fell out from the short ponytail.

 

Blushing slightly before adjusting his headband, he managed the word `Cute' from his semi-strangled throat.

 

“Thanks,” Terra smiled and dragged him off to find the others.

 

-Lounge-

 

“We're going clubbing!” The hyperactive brunette giggled.

 

Naomi, Selein, Shidoroshi, and Kai nearly spit out their drinks and stared up at her, gulping down the drinks hard.

 

“Wh-what!?” Lynn choked, picking herself up from nearly falling over, out of her chair.

 

“You're…joking….” Naomi managed in a dangerous tone, her eyes glinting red, her left eye's glow actually making it past the bangs that covered it.

 

“Eh…erm...no, not really,” Terra squeaked, hiding behind Johnny.

 

“S-sure…I guess, c-c'mon you guys, let's just g-give it a try…” the female neko giggled nervously.

 

“No…Lynn…just…no…” Shidoroshi mumbled, eyes fixed on the table. The only reason he would go would be to help Naomi baby-sit the rest of them.

 

Selein said nothing then nodded. “Sure.”

 

“You lie.” Kai said simply.

 

“Oh, club? Sure!” Kara said enthusiastically, her head bouncing off of Ozuma's shoulder—where it had rested moments before.

 

-30 Minutes Later…-

 

Kai entered the lobby of the BBA building dressed in a black mussel shirt, dark gray cargo pants with a black belt with a silver buckle and black commando boots. He also had black fingerless gloves, black commando boots and two silver bands on his upper arms.

 

The first person he saw was Shidoroshi. The neko also was wearing a black mussel shirt, white dress pants, a white sleeveless trench coat and white dress shoes. The boy also wore a pair of white gloves that ended just below the thumb, three thin gold rings on his right upper arm and a gold cross on his neck.

 

Next to him were Rei and Lynn who were talking to each other. Rei was in an all black version of his G-revolution out fit with silver trim and Lynn was wearing a crimson Chinese dress with black baggy pant and Chinese shoes with silver bracelets on her wrists.

 

Not to far from them were Max, Tyson, Terra, Johnny and Kara. Max was wearing a dark blue dress shirt and blue jeans with a black spiked choker around his neck. Tyson was in a red dress shirt, black vest and dark grey jeans, his hat on his head. Both had runners on as shoes. Kara was in dark purple tank top with a black fishnet shirt over top and black caprees with black cafe high boots, black fingerless gloves and black chocker.

 

“Hey Kai!” Tyson yelled

 

“and now only Selein and Naomi left to get down here…” said Kara, tapping her foot.

 

Ding!

 

“Well speak of the devil.” Shidoroshi said with a grin as Naomi and Selein walked of the elevator.

 

Every one turned to look at them and froze in shock. Selein was wearing a black bikini top, with a black fish net shirt over top. She had on black hip huger leather pants and knee high steel toed combat boots with 3 thin silver bands on her left upper arm, the gold locket and black choker on her neck and black fingerless gloves with four silver bracelet rings on each wrist. Naomi was decked out in a dark purple tube top with a black jean vest, black hip huger jeans with cafe high steel toed commando boots and two gold bands on her upper arms.

 

Naomi twitched.

 

“What the hell are you gawking at!!”

 

Selein smirked when every one looked away, as the two walked passed them and towards the door she called out “what are you idiots waiting for? Let's go!”
