While Renee's focus was consumed by the slowly lessening pain throbbing through her head the prince was focus on another problem. Now that the collar was no longer present around Renee's neck her bikini top had nothing keeping it in place so it hung around her waist uselessly.

Not invading her privacy too much he didn't let his eyes linger on her breasts and instead turned his head towards a small backpack that had been dropped on his bed. Walking over to it he quietly rummaged through it.

From the bag he pulled various items of clothing such as panties, bras, and other similar item that the prince wasn't entirely sure of their purpose. Eventually finding something to his liking he placed it aside and put the other item back into the pack and set it on the end of the bed.

Looking over at the obviously pained girl who still had her hands clamped around her neck and her eyes jammed just he let a soft smile grace his lips. She was so wrapped up in her pain that she still hadn't noticed her chest was exposed. Leading her slowly over to the bed he gently forced her to lye down guiding her the whole way.

Taking a seat next to her stared down in silence, admiring her beauty even though her face was contorted in pain. Slowly raising his hand he rested it over her hands. Renee, being rather surprised, pulled back and rolled to the other side of the bed with a small groan. The Prince couldn't help but to chuckle.

Renee let out another cry as she rolled over her broken ribs but quickly shut her trap and reduced the signs of her pain to harshly biting her lip. Suddenly she felt a gently hand brush across her forehead and she quickly moved to pull away but found that in her pained moments the prince had pressed closer to her and placed his hand on the other side of her head.

She could feel his hot breath glide across her skin which greatly surprised her seeing as how he is the Ice Prince. Opening her eyes to make sure it was the ice prince and not that Bastard of Flame known as Kai and sure enough she was greeted by crystal blue eyes that seemed to look into her soul. Being unable to draw her gaze away she stared into his eyes wondering what he was thinking at that very moment.

Her hands relaxed around her neck as his warm, gently fingers slowly slid under her own. A shiver shot down her spine but it wasn't from being cold, but one of unexplained excitement. She was lost in the depths of this unordinary eyes and his warm touch was driving the pain in her head away while at the same time sending her body into a longing to be closer to him. Subconsciously she leaned into him hoping he would take her in his arms.

Suddenly to her disappointment his hands drew away from her and her feelings quickly returned as his hand gently wove its way down to her waist and softly rested across her belly. Careful not to touch her broken ribs his other hand ran from across the gap in her rib cage then slowly back up to her neck. Gently tipping her chin up he looked down at her frostbitten neck with displeasure.

“I didn't think you would be so delicate…” Renee heard him mumble quietly as his eyes studied her neck. Slowly his head lowered towards her neck as if he was planning on giving her a hickey. Sucking in a sharp gasp as she was surprised by the heat of his breath as it flowed across her frozen skin. Her eyes widened in shock as her body started to relax against her will.

This man obviously didn't know who she was, if he did he wouldn't be blowing hot air across her tender neck. She tried to refuse the treatment he was giving her, it wasn't right. They should be locked in a battle to the death! He murdered her parents, Alli's Parents, the king and queen of the Air Kingdom, and the only people who would stand up to his tyranny.

“Why are you-“Renee stopped talking when his breath paused against my neck. He was listening to her intently, and most likely pausing to take a breath. “Why are you doing this?”

Renee's P.O.V.

His head slowly rose so his eyes could meet mine. I couldn't bear to look at him for long and quickly cast my gaze as far as I could to the side. His hand gently rocked my head to the side forcing my unsteady eyes to meet his.

“Do you not want your injuries healed?” His voice was like soft velvet hitting my ears. My heart started to beat faster as the memories of the past filled my head. His traitorous actions, his lies, and his disgusting gifts of Roses every spring morning, they were all too fresh in my mind.

“Why,” Was the only thing my weary voice could manage to ring out. The fury boiling inside my chest was slowly reaching the rim of the pot.

“I don't want you bearing unnecessary pain.” He spoke as though I might break if his words were too loud.

I didn't answer him, I was afraid I might give my identity away if I accused him of anything from the past.

After a moments silence he returned to my neck sending a flow of defrosting breath across my neck once again.
