Chapter 2
Magic Lesson a trip to the Dragon Nation
Rei woke up the next morning a little sore from lying on the ground so much. He sprung up at the notice that he was on the ground. He looked around seeing thick oak trees and sakura trees on the other side of the creek. Oh yeah, Rei thought to himself, I'm out in the wilderness with Drigger, a bird that can survive intense heat and a really kind wanderer that saved my life. Rei looked around for this wanderer who was the reason that he was laying on the ground dirty as hell.
Drigger's ears picked up on a noise, he looked over and saw Rei waking up from his sleep. "Good morning Master, did you sleep well?" Rei looked over at Drigger noticing that he wasn't the only one that needed a bath.
"Yeah Drigger, I was fine last night. Where's Kai and Dranzer?" Drigger looked up, and so did Rei. Rei saw Kai perched up on a branch with his intense eyes focused on the mountains where the sun was slowly rising. Kai seemed to be mumbling to himself about something, raising his hand to his face every once in a while to brush away a strand of hair in his eyes. Rei saw the peaceful look on his face. Oh the intensity of his eyes made him look like someone in a battle between another. Rei smiled a little bit before a fish dropped right on top of his head and another fell by Drigger's paws.
"Took you long enough girl." Kai said as he jumped from the tree and landed by Drigger. "I hope that will suit you until lunch." He said to Drigger, Dranzer replied to him as she perched herself on Kai's shoulder. "Yeah, because if you do get hungry, don't even think about eating me." Drigger nodded his head in thanks to Kai, but glinted his fangs at Dranzer.
"Drigger be nice to her, you know that she was just kidding... You were kidding weren't you?" Dranzer caught the drift and replied, "Oh yeah! I always kid about these type of things!" And started laughing like it was a lie, Kai was shaking his head while it rested in his hand. After a while Kai looked at Rei and smirked, "Glad to see you're awake, I hope the fish didn't startle you from your sleep. As I said she has slippery talons." Rei shook his head and gladly took the fish off his head. "No it's fine, I don't mind. I know she didn't mean to do it." Dranzer popped off of his shoulder and glided over to Rei. "You see Master Kai! He doesn't have to mock me every time he speaks about me." Rei laughed and stroked her feathers.
"I was wondering Kai, How do you make Dranzer's wings so soft. I've felt a Phoenix's wings before and they weren't as soft as this." Kai wondered how Rei touched another Phoenix but answered his question none the less.
"Well I use magic on her wings as the same with the rest of her body. It's just basic magic but other than that it's nothing." Kai said as he petted Drigger, Rei noticed that Drigger was getting cleaned at Kai's touch. Rei was in awe as he saw the magnificent sight go on before his eyes.
"Could you teach me? Magic I mean..." Kai looked at him strangely.
"Don't you know magic? Anyone with a guardian should know magic.. Or should've learned at that.." Rei looked down at his fish that hadn't even been eaten.
"Well I was learning at one point, but my stepmother who died a couple of years ago banished our wizard, alchemist, and warlock. They were teaching me basic skills and were some of the best I had ever met." Kai wondered about these people.
"What were their names?" Rei looked at him, " I don't remember... I was just about to turn 9 or so the last time that I saw them was then. She.. She didn't want me to learn magic. She said it was a willing of the dark god Anumus." Kai frowned, his mother wasn't all that much of a fan for magic. But she allowed him to learn it and she knew it as well. Kai nodded at him sadly as he stopped petting Drigger.
"Well the only magic I know is flame magic, I don't know if you'd be able to learn the same way I did. But I guess we'll have to deal with that. Now,"Kai said as he went over to Rei. "What you want to do is search for a certain part in you, for me it is a warmth. I don't know about you, but go ahead and try to grab a hold of it." Rei closed his eyes and tried to get a hold of it. He could see a green orb or something there... just to grab it.. A little more.. Just a little bit closer. "Ouch!"
Rei's eyes snapped open as he held onto his hand that felt as if an electric bolt went through it. "I saw it but it shocked me as I caught hold of it." Kai nodded, "The same thing happened to me while I was taught magic. Except you got a shock. My hand was in bandages for a week when I caught hold of mine. You know, if that happened to you then it means you've passed the first trial." Rei looked at Kai in disbelief. "You mean I can start using magic now!" He asked eagerly.
"No, but you should be able to learn when the pain in your hand goes away." Rei's hand throbbed at the mention of pain and Rei clutched it to his chest. "But why?" He asked with a little bit of pain in his voice. "Because, the pain will distract you from your concentration. It's like battle, when you go into a fight you must have concentration, being able to figure out what your enemy is going to throw at you. Concentration is the skill you need to do magic. Without it is no good, at least that is what I was taught. It was my mistake to start using magic before the pain went away. That's why it took a week for my hand to heal." Rei looked at Kai amazed.
"One question." Rei asked him. "Go ahead.." Kai replied. " Well I was wondering, if is just the royal families that are taught magic. How did you learn?" Kai stood up as he heard that and another . "Come, we must get going." Kai started to walk in a direction Dranzer fallowing suite. "Go where?" No answer. Rei sat there alone on the ground, "Hey wait up!" He jumped up and ran after Kai and Dranzer. Drigger got up as well and ran after Rei as they made their trip across the huge Tiger Nation to hell knows where.
"Kaaaaaaaii!" Rei whined for the 5th time, "Tell me where we're going!" Kai sighed and stopped, having Rei bump into him on the way. "If I tell you will you be quiet?" Rei glared at him. So much for royalty and "I'll serve you"...
"We have to get you to a safe place. If those people who attacked your Nation's capital find out you aren't dead then you're in big trouble." Rei nodded. "So where are we going?" Kai sweat dropped... -.-;
"We're going to the Dragon Nation, no buts, no what ifs, just fallow me and everything will be fine." Rei glared, TT, but fallowed. At least he didn't have to worry about some one taking him away.
"Your holiness," One of the people said to the elders, "We've searched for the Princes body but we can't find it. Are you sure that he jumped out of the window?" Grudja looked at the peasant, Oh how I hate these wretched people, but he put on a the best face of sadness he could muster and looked at them. "I'm afraid so... I guess our emperor and his son perished in the flames... We shall have a ceremony tonight in honor of their royal majesties." The peasants looked to the ground.
"Poor Master Rei, he was quite the energetic type.. He would've made a fine ruler..." The peasants started to clean up the mess of the destroyed buildings and removing any thing in hope to see their master again.
"Do not worry my fellow people. For your new ruler is standing before you!" The peasants looked at him in complete horror. "But don't we need to vote for our new ruler?" One person asked. "No his royal majesty requested that if anything were to happen to young master Rei. That I was to take control of the nation. And as my first act I say we make peace with the High Nation like we should've done ages ago! And quit moping, I want all of Emperor Ritsu's things out so you can build me a new castle. Now bow to your new master!" They were all very sad but instinctively got on their knees and started to bow to him.
"Yes. Anything you say master Grudja..." They all muttered together...
Grudja laughed maniacally, "No one can defeat me now!"
"Okay we'll rest here it's only a little further to the Dragon Nation..." Kai said as they sat in the forest, Rei sat down next to him as he started to rub his legs that now ached from the 9 mile hike.
"Oh exactly how much further?" He asked.
"Nineteen more miles.." Rei almost fell over while Kai looked over at him. "I'm kidding.. We have only seven miles to go."1
Rei saw Drigger come into sight and laughed as he plopped down next to him completely exhausted.
"Drigger are you alright?" He asked as he hugged the tiger.
"Why yes I am master, I just ran nine straight miles to keep up with you and that pesky bird. I'm just peachy..." He said sarcastically while Rei started laughing. "Not my fault that you don't get enough exercise." Rei ran his fingers through Drigger's fur looking for any harm done to his body as he tried to stifle a yawn. Man I'm feeling tired.. But I can't go to sleep.. I have to... Rei tried to keep his eyes open incase of attackers but it was no use. He fell into a blissful sleep.
Kai meanwhile, stealthily stood up and started to walk away to look for food but turned to look at the beautiful fire bird getting ready to take a nap with her new acquired friends. "Dranzer, before you go to sleep. Make sure you stay as close to Rei as possible. Make sure nothing happens to him. I'll be right back." Dranzer nodded and ruffled her feathers to lay next to Rei and Drigger. Kai stalked off into the midday forest.
"Hey look over there." Said someone. "His clothes look Royal.. You think he's from the capital?" Asked the other. "I think he just maybe who we were looking for.." Said the first one as he jumped and landed quietly on the ground, the second following suede.
As they started to walk one of them shuffled their feet mistaking Drigger's and Dranzer's hearing.
"What do you want?" Dranzer cawed out at the intruders.
"The chicken talks?" The second one asked, Dranzer fumed. "COULD A CHICKEN DO THIS HUH!" She said as she started to set things on fire. "It's a fire breathing chicken..." Dranzer started to get pissed at the men.
"You must calm down Dranzer, we won't win if we don't calculate what they are going to do." Drigger said to her. Dranzer nodded and said in a very low voice below a whisper. "We must keep Rei safe." Drigger nodded hearing and in hearing Rei's name, he stepped in front of him. "What do you want!" Drigger roared out. The second one stood in complete bewilderment not knowing what was going on. While the first one stood their in realization.
"What are we going to do to get him away from that rug?" The second one asked in a quiet scared voice.
"That's no rug.. That's the royal heirloom of the Tiger Nation. Drigger.." The first one stuttered out.
"The great god's pet? That means..." The second one looked at Rei's face stunned that he'd be there.
Rei woke up seconds later after hearing all of the yelling. Thinking it to be Drigger and Dranzer fighting, he decided to break them apart. But he awoke only to see Drigger standing in front of him, and Dranzer tilting her head to the side in complete confusion.
"Aww man.. I was going to show Master Kai I could beat some one up.." Rei rubbed his eyes with his hand all balled up. And looked over at two men on the ground bowing to him begging him for forgiveness.
"Um..." Rei was about to say something but the men looked up with pleading eyes and went up to him and started kissing his feet.
"Please your godliness! Spare us! We didn't know you were here! Please spare our lives. We didn't mean to sneak up on you and your pets! Please! Spare us!" The started kissing his feet more and went up to his hands.
"Whoa! Who are you calling a god? I'm not a god!" The men didn't seem to listen to him.
"Leave him alone!" Dranzer yelled at them.
"Master Rei. What are they doing." Rei took batted the men away from him. "I don't know. But they're freaking me out.." Rei said to him. "Oh your godliness! Please! Spare our lives."
"Ooookay.. I spare your lives?" Rei said to them.
"You are most kind your godliness." They said in unison.
"First of all. I'm not a god, my name is Rei and I'm a wanderer." They looked at each other. And laughed.
"But my lord! You wear clothes not that of a wanderer but of a person of the royal palace." Rei literally smacked himself as he saw that his clothes were still, infact, the royal robes.
"What's going on here?" Rei looked over his shoulder to see Kai standing there with food over his shoulder.
"Oh I see. So you two are from the village of Osiru." They nodded and Kai's comment. "Yes, we didn't realize that you had come from the royal city. But we heard about the city being burned down and our wonderful lord and his son's death." Rei gasped, they really think that I'm dead? He thought to himself.
"So are you a survivor of the burning?" Rei nodded towards them. "It is funny of how you have the same name as the prince. Did you know him?" Rei sighed and nodded again. "He was a dear friend of mine. We were like brothers because he was born 17 days after I was. Our mother's were really good friends and they both accidentally named us the same name. They sometimes mistook me for the Prince. But since he always had shorter hair than I had, they could easily tell us apart. He and I were always getting into mischief, and I really miss him so." Kai was surprised at Rei's lie. He lied better than he could but could see that Rei was shaking a bit. Must be frightened... Wouldn't blame him.
"So where did you work in the Royal Palace?" Rei stared at them. "I was actually his majesty's personal assistant. I went all around with him. Making sure he didn't get anyone into trouble. And if anything did happen I made it look like I did it so he wouldn't get in trouble." He said thinking back to his real personal assistant Lee that he had when he was nine or so. But since his grandfather was banished from the royal palace Lee had to go as well.
"He was best friend and I was really depressed when I saw him lying on his bedroom floor dead. I then saw Drigger there, Drigger had known me for a while and he said it was the Prince's last request that I take him away incase any of the people who are responsible for the burning were going to try and take him away and kill him. Drigger is the family heirloom and if he were to perish so would the country." Rei said to them in a saddened tone. Remembering everything that his father said to him the night before.
"So Rei, we heard that the Phoenix Nation was behind the attack of the Royal City. So why are you wandering with this man?" Rei looked towards Kai and replied to them.
"Well Kai saved my life when the palace was being destroyed. He said that he would protect me no matter what the cause. So I guess why I wander with him is because his nation didn't really burn down the city. A torch fell down in the main lobby when..." Rei tried to look for an excuse, anything, he sat quietly making it seem like he was saddened to talk of the experience. Then he remembered the knock on the grand door. "When some unwanted visitors came..." He said. The two nodded at this, completely understanding.
Kai was starting to get really tired of just sitting around talking about nonsense. He grabbed Rei's cloak and pulled himself and Rei onto their feet. "Gentlemen do you know of a place Rei and I can stay at tonight?" The men looked over at Kai and nodded gratefully. "Of course, for saving the only person who survived. We would love to have you stay in our quiet village." They said as they stood up, "Please, fallow us!" They said when they started walking down the path to the village far below.
"Oh great.. More walking.." Drigger sighed with distress as they fallowed the rest.
"So what are your names anyways?" Rei asked them as they sat in the confides of the home.
"Oh my name is Haruko, and this is Shino. We are brothers, just so you don't get the wrong idea. We hope that you will find our little house comfortable." Haruko said to him bashfully.
"No this is great! Your house is so comfortable that I could stay here for a month!" Rei said as he laid back in the chair.
"Yeah me too!" Dranzer said as they looked towards the fireplace where she was going to sleep that night. Drigger laughed at her statement. Rei looked over at them as Dranzer jumped out and curled up near Drigger. Drigger started licking her clean as if she were a cub. Dranzer then dried herself and flew over to Kai resting on his arm. Kai started petting her softly making sure there was nothing wrong. As if he were searching for a feather out of place.
"Hey Kai?" Kai looked over at Rei wonderingly. "I was thinking, maybe I should get some other clothes. You know, to fit in with the crowd?" Kai stared at him in disbelief. "S-sure.." he said after a while of thinking about it, oh well at least Rei wouldn't look so suspicious.
"Dranzer, you and Drigger stay here ok. If anything seems wrong or you hear me call for you that is the only time you can get out of here.." Kai said as he put his cloak on and went to go get Rei's seeing it wasn't there. Kai sighed and went out of the door fallowing after the young neko-jin.
"I don't know.." Kai said as he looked over at Rei, searching for clothes for him was like taking a girl jewelry shopping. They just can't decide on what they want... Kai spotted something that looked like an outfit of a fighter or maybe a ranger. He wasn't sure. "Here try this on." Kai said as he handed it to Rei. Rei saw it an lit up instantly. "Sure!" Rei obviously loved the outfit as he ran to go and try it on. Kai then had a little time to think about things. He closed his eyes and started remembering his past.
"Kai! Come on over here, it's lunch time." Kai standing at the age of 4 was outside in the front concentrating on learning how to use magic. He heard his mothers command and went inside the house bursting with joy. "Father! I almost caught it! The magic sphere that you told me about!" Kai's father smiled at him as he sat down at the table. "Good job Kai, soon you'll be able to use fire magic just like the rest of us." Kai smiled as his father ruffled his hair.
"I'm so proud of you Kai. Just to believe that you're only four years old. That's the youngest anyone's learned to use magic before." His father said to him. "Remember Kai you are never to use your magic to kill. Only if someone is after your life or a loved ones. I just can't believe that my little boy is learning so fast." She said as she started crying a bit. "Thanks mother!" He said as he went over and hugged his mother with all the love he had.
"KAI!"
Kai opened his eyes to see Rei waving his hand in front of his eyes. "Hrm? What were you saying Rei?" Rei sighed in content that Kai wasn't dead. "I was asking you how this looked on me." Kai ran his eyes over Rei's new outfit. It had a black long sleeve shirt with chain mail going down the sleeves, He wore the emblem of the Tiger Nation around his neck and had an over jacket covering his the black shirt that showed his well built chest. His hair was still pulled back by the bandanna and he was wearing, and still had the Hair wrap keeping his hair pulled back.
"It looks great on you Rei. Now let's go." He said as he paid for the clothes and they went on their way.
"Kai I have a bad feeling about something. I feel like someone is going to catch us." Kai kept his eyes forward as he understood what Rei was going through. "Of course, I went through the same thing. Always thinking that someone was going to catch me. Take me back and kill me. But it hasn't happened yet." Rei felt safer when Kai said that. It made him think that there was a chance.. A chance.. To have a life again. Only more exciting.
"It really sucks when you have to walk 3 miles to the closest town to get back to where you are staying." Rei said as he prepared himself to walk home. His hand stopped hurting like hell about an hour ago. It still throbbed every once in a while. But other than that it was ok. Kai said once it stopped hurting for good he could use magic easier. Rei was excited about that.
Drigger looked over at the window wondering when Rei and Kai were going to come back. "Drigger?" Drigger looked over at Dranzer who was sitting in the fireplace cleaning her wings. Drigger nodded for her to continue. "I know that you are worried about Master Kai and Rei. But we can only hope that they will come back safely." Drigger got up and got ready to lie down next to the fireplace.
"Dranzer, not to be mean or anything, but Kai is kind of suspicious. You know what I mean." Dranzer started to look sad at the statement. "Kai is like that but it is only because of his past. When Kai was about four years old, he was taken away from his parents. They were... um...his parents..." Dranzer tried to look for the words to describe what happened. "Let's just say that Master Kai has had a rough past..." She said as she settled down in the flames. Drigger was confused now, but shrugged it off.
Rei was starting to feel tired, he almost fell over onto Kai for the sixth time. Rei's eyes started to flutter open and closed. Not again... He said to himself as he started to fall over. He fell to the ground and went to sleep. Kai saw him fall to the ground and walked back to him.
"Must've got the better of him." He said to himself amused, as he leaned over to pick Rei up. Kai turned Rei over and brushed some of Rei's bangs out of his face. God he's gorgeous.. Wait! Did I just say that the PRINCE of the Tiger Nation was GORGEOUS! As he was walking with Rei in his arms (bridal style). He then saw Rei's face and his face was now burning. How could someone make him feel so.. So.. Happy? No that's not it... Secure? How could he be secure when his nightmares are haunted by the people of his past. The feeling is so familiar.. But what is it? Kai then realized something... The feeling, he felt it before... Long ago... Kai's eyes went wide when he suddenly realized what feeling it was.
"Love..." .. No it can't be! I can't be in love. I promised myself that I would never love anyone again... I learned that love can make you weak... I learned it the hard way. He thought as the memory flooded through his head.
"Sleep well Kai." Said his mother as she tucked him into his bed. Kai yawned and pulled the covers up over his shoulders. Grasping his hand in the process and scratching it. "Now Kai, it won't heal if you keep unraveling it and scratching it like that." Chuckled his mother as she sat at his bed side doing up the bandages she placed on him. A bright white glow surrounded Kai's hand as she tried to heal it. "Thank you mother!" He said as he snuggled back into his sheets. His mother told him that after you get the orb pain will be in your hand and until the pain subsides you are not allowed to use magic. Kai kissed his mother goodnight, his father then came in to check on him. "How's his hand?"
"Fine it should be better by tomorrow." Kai watched his parents as his father lit all the lanterns in the room along with the fireplace with his magic and dimmed them to sleeping format. And his mother had little star like objects floating in the air all around him. One tickled him under the chin making him laugh. "Goodnight our little angel." His mother said to him as she kissed and hugged him goodnight. "Sleep well our young hero." His father said as he hugged him and kissed him on the forehead.
"Goodnight Mother, goodnight father.. I love..." He tried to get the last word out but fell asleep before he could utter another word.
"He really is adorable when he sleeps." Said his father as he hugged his wife by Kai's bedside. "Come on. We better let him sleep." She said as they started to walk out of the room.
Kai woke up to the strangest of noises that sounded like a window crashing. "Mother? Father?" He said quietly as he got out of his bed. "Is that you?" He went over to his door and listened carefully. He slowly opened the door and looked around for anyone coming his way. He heard the noise that sounded like a shrill scream. Kai ran down to the origin of the noise. Mother's and Father's room? Kai grasped the door not noticing the knob was red. He accidentally grabbed it with his bad hand. Kai cried out in pain.
"Kai? Kai! Run get out of he--" His father didn't finish his sentence as he was cut off. Kai opened the door suppressing the tears.
His eyes went wide when he saw the scene before him...
His father was lying on the ground with his throat slit open, blood spilt everywhere around him and flames licking at his clothes. His mother had a sword in her hand fighting off a grey haired man that was wearing robes that looked Royal. His mother looked over at Kai and hit the man in the gut. "Kai! Come with me hurry!"
"But mother what about father!" Kai said with tears in his eyes. "We have to leave him Kai. There's nothing I can do! Now let's go!" She said as she grabbed his arm. And pulled him into her arms. Carrying him out of down the halls and out of his home.
"Kai, listen to me. I'm going to get you as far away from here and don't turn back no matter what you hear or see..." She whispered to him as she let him out of her arms. Kai looked at her with tear stained eyes while he shook his head no. "Please Kai, run... Now!" She said as she held up her sword as Kai ran into the near by forest looking back to see his mother hold up her sword towards her foe.
Carlotta looked at Kai for the last time and took up her sword. "For honor. For the Phoenix Nation, and for my family." She said as she went into a fierce battle with him.
Kai sat on the ground the next day just looking at his mother's body hoping she would wake up. Kai stared at her quietly whispering. "It's just a dream, it's just a dream. It's all just a dream..."
"But if it is a dream, then why are you out here all by yourself?" Said someone. Kai turned around to see a man standing there, he had purple hair and looked to be quite old. He stared at him with icy cold eyes that held you captive saying 'you can't escape me..' Kai was enraged at the fact he said he was alone... even if it was true.
"I'm not alone! My mother is right here beside me! Isn't that right mother?.. Please wake up..." He said as newly born tears started to form in his eyes. "Please Mother... wake... up..." He sobbed out. "Mother... Father..."
"Get a hold of yourself!" Exclaimed the man. "You're coming with us..." Kai was stunned at the mans comment. But Kai was dragged to a carriage where he was taken to his new home.
Kai shook his head free from the memory. All of that torture wasn't what should be going through his head. What should be is getting back to where Dranzer and Drigger were. Kai looked down at Rei who was resting, amazingly, peaceful in his arms. Kai smiled, maybe love wasn't all that bad. But how could he love the prince of the Tiger Nation? It just wasn't right, or that was what his grandfather taught him. But his mother was always talking to him about how love comes unexpectedly and it would come out of no where. Kai smiled, his mother was right about everything but this was just strange.
Rei was wonderful but, Love? Why would this happen if the gods didn't want it to? Everything happens for a reason, I guess this is supposed to happen. But Kai would keep his feelings locked up. Love was a weakness, it would only get in the way of fighting and things that meant the world to him.
Then again Rei means a lot to me. Kai thought to himself. As he looked down at Rei.
Rei's eyelids started to move and they opened up. Rei looked up to be greeted by Kai's face. Rei gasped slightly and was perfectly still. His heart was racing. Why is Kai holding me! Why am I in his arms? Did something happen to me? Rei looked at Kai's features, he looked calmed but his eyes were focused on the road ahead. I wonder how long I've been out...
Rei saw Haruko's house up ahead. It was dimmly lightened by the candles and the fire place. Kai opened the door and closed it. Rei moved a bit so Kai would know that he was awake. Kai looked down and smirked. "Have a nice sleep?" Rei nodded as he was placed on the ground. Kai took his cloak off of Rei and placed it on the floor.
"How long was I out?" Rei asked.
"About 2 or 3 hours." Rei blushed inwardly and outwardly. You mean he was carrying me for that long? Oh my god, pinch me. Rei realized that he sounded like a love sick girl when he thought that. Besides Kai couldn't have done that out of kindness. I mean he was just doing it so I wouldn't be taken away by any stranger and left alone in the dark. But then again, he'd do that for anyone else. But then there is that oath that he is sworn to... Rei sighed and looked over towards the fire place where Drigger was sleeping. Dranzer was in the fire sleeping soundly as the flame licked at her feathers.
Rei looked over at Kai who was sleeping on the floor just like Dranzer. Soundly. Rei laid down next to Drigger and sighed. "Maybe there is a chance. But hey tomorrow's another day."
"Thanks for letting us stay at your place." Rei said as he hugged both of them. "No problem Rei, if you're ever near Osiru come and visit us. You and Kai are always welcome." Said Shino. Haruko gave them a bag of food for their journey.
"Have a great journey you two. May you make it to your place safely..." Rei nodded happily and started walking away with Kai, Drigger and Dranzer.
"You two stay alive you hear!" Haruko yelled after them.
"No problem!" Yelled Kai.
Rei felt so energized with joy. An adventure with new friends. Rei had to be the happiest person alive that day. "Now off to the Dragon Nation!" Rei said gleefully.
Yes he was happy, and yes he had new friends. And soon to come was the greatest adventure of a lifetime...
