Rei's Pov

I couldn't believe my ears as I stood outside of Maxi's room listening in. My sprite loved me, he really loved me! I wanted to jump for joy but I stayed still so I wouldn't attract attention. I waited until Tyson silently crept out of Max's room and into Kai's, barely stopping him from seeing me, before I silently slinked (A.N NEKO_POWER!! Mwhahahahaha) into Max's room.

Rei padded across the room and gazed down upon the sleeping angel that occupied the bed. Maxi's chest rose and fell slowly; his breathing was soft and deep. Rei couldn't believe how such an innocent creature could love him, of all people. Suddenly a growl erupted from the golden-eyed boy that was watching Max.

 

Rei's Pov

I noticed suddenly the tears that were pouring down my sprite's face and I was pissed off beyond all compare. Who would dare make such an innocent, loving being cry?! Suddenly I heard a gasp and my head shot up to look into the beautiful blue eyes of my beloved.

 

End Pov

“Why…” a small voice, almost sobbing, seeped into the silence “why do I keep having these dreams!?” Max started to sob uncontrollably, barely noticing when the raven-haired boy standing by his bed sat beside him and enfolded him in his arms.

 

Max's Pov

“What dreams, Maxie!?” a purring voice inquired right next to my ear. The sound of my tiger's voice talking to me so sweetly, and yet knowing it was all just a horrible lie made me cry even more. Through all the tears and pain I managed to croak out “These dreams… where you're with me and make me feel so happy” I paused to stifle my tears “But it's not true… Rei will never love me; not the way I want him to”

A disbelieving sound came from the black haired boy sitting on the bed. “Sprite, how can you think that?!” Max gasped as he looked up into Rei's eyes, then slowly reached out his hand. A cry of delight cam from the blonde as his hand connected with the warm, tan skin of his beloved. “Rei, you're really here… and you really care? Max whimpered out. “No” a growling voice came next to his ear, and Max's eyes started to tear up “I don't care about you…I love you!” Rei only had time to hear the gasp before he had a lap full of blonde sprite and his lips were attacked by a pair of hungry ones.”
