Will you send me an angel?

Tala sat down on his bed,his back against the cold wall of stone.Every inch of his body was sore, his feet and legs bleeding from fresh wounds. His head was spinning, making him want to puke any second. He groaned and bit back a scream as he pulled of his boots, the blood dripping onto the floor.
"This sucks...."he muttered and threw his worn-out boots aside, not really caring about making a mess.He would clean things up later, right now he needed to take care of his feet, they were hurting like hell.He was used to this kind of pain though. After all,he was an Abbey boy,one of the best beybladers in the cold country named Russia. And bladers of the Abbey were used to be beaten, put on trial,be driven to the point of exhaustion and death constantly.
Tala was no excuse from that rule.In fact,he was among those who were tested more often than others, always going through tests.Today he had been left in the middle of nowhere, without any food, warm clothes or anything to help him at all.Not even his bit-beast,Wolborg had he been allowed to take with him into the wild. They had expected him to find his way back, testing his ability to keep out the cold and go on even though he was near dying.
Tala had found his way back after struggling in the snow for hours. But he felt no relief as he once again entered the dark halls of the Abbey. He might aswell have died out in the cold, that would maybe have been better than this living hell.

Limping he managed to get to the little bathroom he had, picking up a cloth from the sink. The cloth was not clean, but he had nothing else to clean his wounds,so he settled with the old rag.Soaking it he sat down on his chair and started washing his wounds carefully, trying not to cause himself anymore pain than necessary. He bit back a groan as he stepped onto the floor again, his feet bare against the cold, hard stone. After bandaging his feet with parts of his own clothes,he sat back down, curling up in a ball, hugging his knees. He felt so lonely,so empty in this hopeless life.
Tears were stinging in his eyes.At first he refused to let them fall,he had sworn to never cry again. But as he fought he found it harder and harder to hold them back.A sob escaped him,and he let his tears spill. They were making wet, salt trails on his pale cheeks."Why do I live in this world?"he sniffled, his sobs making it hard to speak."I hate this place..I wish I had somone here by my side".He was shaking now,his slender body spilling all his sorrow in those tears.
"Then maybe I wouldn`t want to die so badly.."he whispered. He kept crying for a little longer,in the end feeling even more empty than before now that his grief had left him.He wiped away his tears, his eyes all red and puffy, before he stood up again and limped as he walked over to the window. With numb hands he sat down in the window, his gaze directed at the little stars. They were blinking down at him from afar, smiling and comforting him in the lonely dark of this winter night."You wont ever leave me,will you?"he asked,no answer. The stars just kept glowing, lighting up this sad world.
He sat still for a little while, just watching the beautiful lights."I wish you could send me an angel to watch over me",he whispered.
Slowly he felt himself drift off to sleep, his eyelids growing heavier. He battled the drugging sleep for a moment, then gave in,closing his eyes.

He had to get away, they couldn`t catch him, that would be the end to everything! He ran as fast as he could along the silent streets, his breathing heavy, his sight dimmed from tears. He could hear them behind him, they would catch him if he didn`t hurry."Help me.."he muttered as he stopped to catch his breath for a second or two.But he already knew that there was no one who could help him.He had betrayed everyone with his actions, not meaning anything else than the best for his friend. He began running again, trying to find his way out of this maze.
He knew he had to be close to the Gate now,he could feel the power flow from it.He stepped out of the street, panting hard, his heart beating faster than it ever had.And there it was,the Gate.He was stunned by it`s beauty, the glowing light that came from it.He stared in awe for a moment, then remembered everything and headed that way.He reached the two mighty doors, the way out of Heaven. He needed to open it,open it quickly before they found him and took him back there again. He needed to go find his friend,he had to find her and take her back to the Heavens.
He let his hands travel along the cool, glowing metal, searching for the way to open it."Come on",he cried."Calm down, what did your master teach you?"he muttered under his breath. He took a deep breath and folded his hands, trying to remember the chant.

"Orohe ne casane Ipirit ne Sedamane,Choto de Manek",he sang, his voice clear and beautiful, truly the voice of an angel. He silenced and waited for a reaction."Open up,please.."he begged. The door stirred. He took a step back as it opened. He was speachless."Thank you",he smiled and disappeared inside. His followers appeared just in time to see the doors close with a loud bang."Damnit! We lost him!"a male voice snarled, rough and deep.
"What shall we do now?"another voice asked, more childlike in it`s appearance."Chief won`t be too happy about this..."the rough voice sighed.

Tala snapped his eyes open, his chest heaving,as if he had been running for hours."What?....",he mumbled and sat up properly. He had fallen asleep while sitting in the window. He stretched to get the kinks out of his already sore and beaten body."I wonder what woke me up..",he said and tried to stiffle a yawn.It was still dark outside, and Tala knew that dawn was far away.He didn`t really care,he seldom saw the sun during winter anyways.
The stars were still blinking playfully, encouraging him to go on.He smiled sadly.Sometimes those little lights made him feel a little better, allowing him to pretend for a little while that he was ok,that everything would be fine. His heart knew better though. But it still felt good to pretend sometimes.
As he was about to leave his precious window,he got a strange feeling. His heart was all of a sudden aching, throbbing painfully in his chest.
He looked out the window, trying to gain his breathing again. What he saw made him stare in awe.Falling from the sky was a beautiful,human-like creature, surrounded in an amasing, blue glow. The creature fell towards the ground, and Tala felt his heart skip a beat as it hit a tree. The glow disappeared, leaving the redhaired boy breathless. He came back to his senses, leaving his room in a hurry.
He ran as fast as he could down the hallway, determined to reach that creature before anyone else did.He hoped he was the only one to have seen the strange things happen. His feet were still bare as they made contact with the ground, but he payed no attention to cold as he kept running.
All he could think of was to get there in time.

He reached the tree where he had seen the creature crash, and stopped to catch his breath again. His heart was beating even faster now,his chest rising and falling quickly. He started looking around,he needed to find this creature. He could see nothing among the branches high up there.
Tala was about to step back from the tree when he tripped in something. He fell over, hitting the ground hard.He however, was not prepared for the sight that met his empty, blue eyes. Before him lay the fairest creature he had ever seen in his whole, lonely life.It appeared to be a young boy, about his age, eyes closed, body lying quietly in the snow.He was dressed all in white, the clothes ripped apart in several places. The young boys`s skin glowed with a dim, blue light, making him look as an angel. His hair was wild and spiky, having the most amasing, blue colour he had ever seen.He had blue marks along his cheeks,tatoo-like,though Tala was sure they were real.
But what stunned him the most were the wings. The young boy had two wings sticking out of his back, beautiful feather-wings,lightgrey under the moon.
"What are you?"Tala whispered to himself, afraid to even move an inch, afraid to scare this wonderful creature off before he knew what it was.
He hesitated for a moment before he reached out a hand to touch the angel-like boy`s cheek. The other one`s skin felt so cold,so far away,so soft, too grand to even describe with mere words.
The young boy suddenly snapped his eyes open at the unfamiliar touch, and Tala stared into two darkpurple orbs.He was so taken aback by the sudden movement that he sat totally still, too frightened too move now.The young boy looked at him with his pretty eyes, twin looks of fear and innocence. He made a weird sound and backed away, flapping his wings. He whimpered and fell to the ground, cluthing his left wing.
Tala cleared his throat."Don`t be afraid,I won`t hurt you",he assured the other. The boy kept staring at him, looking as if he was trapped. He shook his head and tried to run,but fell to his knees again.Apparently his ancle was sprained or broken.Tala took a step towards the young boy, holding his hands up in front of his chest to show he meant the creature no harm. The angel-like being whimpered again as Tala came a little closer, and started to crawl away from him."I won`t hurt you,I promise".The other stood up again,Tala could see he was gritting his teeth, sweat appearing on his pale forehead, trying to ignore the pain.He made another attempt to get away, but once again failed. His eyes fluttered for a second before they clamped shut, the young boy falling to the ground, unconscious.Tala was quicker this time, and caught him before he hit the ground again. He held the fragile and hurt creature in his arms, feeling the limp limbs against his chest as he ignored the pain in his own feet when he walked back inside.

Yours sincerly,Kanilla & Nicholas
