I do NOT own Bleach or the characters/places/things in bleach that are mentioned. Only the OC.
They both sat at the table in silence. Ichigo poured him something warm. It was probably the most awkward moment he'd ever had. They said nothing the whole time but sat. Ichigo Then handed Uryu the cup with warm coffee and watched him sip his drink. Once Uryu stopped drinking he glanced up at Ichigo.
“So…tell me…what is it you're here for?” Ichigo then asked.
He placed his cup down and pulled the wallet from his pocket, “I found Aneko's wallet…”
Ichigo received it and examined it, “Yep…it's hers alright.” He let out a sigh, “Let me guess…it was on the ground?” Uryu nodded and got up.
“Huh…? You're leaving-?” Ichigo then paused in realization of what he said and gave himself a foolish expression. Uryu pushed his glasses up and grabbed his umbrella which stood by the door. “I only came to return her wallet,”
“Right…”
“Uh…Uryu…?”
Uryu and Ichigo both glanced back and saw a sleepy Aneko in her pajamas standing there.
“Aneko…?”
She rubbed her eyes and smiled up at him, “What are you doing here…? And…so late?” She then questioned.
Uryu looked away, “I just dropped off your wallet…”
Her eyes widened and her smile grew bigger, “Really!?” She looked at the table and saw the wallet sitting there. She ran to it and grabbed it. “Uryu…that was so sweet of you!”
“No…it was nothing really. I only found it on the way back home,”
Ichigo sat there, looking back and forth at them. He didn't know what was really going on.
Aneko then walked up to Uryu, giving him her most thankful look, “Thank you so much…you really are sweet,”
“Uh…” Uryu found himself looking at the most innocent face he'd ever seen, at least from Aneko.
“U-uh…no, I'm really not…” He quickly glanced away, wanting to make an escape. She giggled at his modesty and actions, “Well…I think so,” He looked back at her shocked. A blush could be traced on his somewhat-pail skin.
“W-well…I should head off home,” He headed to the door and opened it.
“Are you sure you should do something like that?” Ichigo then asked sudden.
Uryu glanced back at him, “Why not?” He then questioned, a light blush still showed on his face.
“Idiot, Look outside…” They both then looked out the window and noticed the storm was just as hard and lighting began to appear. Soon enough they heard thunder.
“I'll be fine. It's just a little storm…don't go thinking I'm some weak guy, Kurosaki!”
Ichigo got up ready to punch him. Uryu as well wanted to punch Ichigo. Aneko then pushed them away from each other, “Stop! Would you two stop?! Why fight over something so stupid…?”
Ichigo looked away with a smirk, “Heh…you're right…besides…I wouldn't want to hurt poor Uryu,”
Uryu then glared at him, “Don't you go and think so highly of yourself, soul reaper!”
“At least I'm stronger!”
“Wanna bet!?”
“Bring it!”
Aneko sighed and got in between the two once again, “Com'on, stop fighting!” They both paused and cocked their heads away from each other, like little kids.
“You know…it wouldn't be such a bad idea, Uryu…” Aneko then agreed. Uryu gazed at her shocked. “I'm not saying you're weak…or anything…but I'd feel a lot better and at ease if you spent the night here,” He looked away, offended in a way.
“Please…?” Aneko then approached.
He sighed giving in, “Alright…”
Aneko smiled and nodded, “Great…I'll get you some bed sheets and a pillow…you can sleep on the couch tonight.” She then went into the hall to get him the items.
After awhile, Ichigo went to bed, though not comfortably considering Uryu; the person who pissed him off at times was sleeping under the same roof as him.
Aneko placed the folded blankets on the table and opened the bed. (The couch was able to change into a bed for guests)
“There…!” She stood up and looked at the bed impressed on how well she had set it up. Ichigo lent-Well…forced to lend-Uryu his P-jays. She looked at him and smiled, “All set…!”
He pushed his glasses up and smiled lightly, “Thanks,”
“Don't mention it,” she then smiled.
He then sat on the bed and took his glasses off. Aneko looked at him; she never realized how different Uryu looked without his glasses. Then again he never took them off, no matter the situation.
He noticed and looked at her concerned, “Uh…are you ok?”
“U-uh…!? Y-yeah…! Yeah! S-sorry!” She bowed and smiled nervously. He smiled, “Its ok…”
“Well…I'm…a…going to head off to bed,” She walked backwards and towards her room, “Good night,” She then turned around and left.
Uryu smirked and watched her until she was out of sight. He found himself yawning and figured he was actually getting tired himself. He laid himself down and covered himself with the sheets Aneko gave him, “…”
He stared at the ceiling and then slowly gazed his attention towards the rain outside. It was still hitting down hard. He could hear each droplet hitting the window.
He then shifted to the side and looked at his arm, which had his Quincy bracelet. As he did he noticed a small glitter in the middle of the crest, “Huh…?” He sat up and held it in his hands. It then showed a little spark again, “Wha…?” Just then he then felt such a strong presence, but knew it wasn't from himself or anyone else…it was a Hollow. He got off the bed and looked out the window. Since it was still raining it made it hard for him to get a good view of outside.
“You sense it to…don't you…?”
Uryu looked back and noticed Ichigo and Aneko standing behind him. Ichigo's face looked serious and Aneko's had a worried expression.
“Y-yeah…its spiritual power is incredible…!” He then breathed.
Ichigo then looked back at Aneko, “Aneko…I want you to stay here and watch over Karin…” She looked at him shocked, “W-what…?! B-but I want to go!” She gave him with upsetting eyes. Ichigo shook his head, “No…it might be too dangerous for you. Besides if Uryu and I go, it would make things quicker…”
Aneko then looked at Uryu, “Uryu tell Ichigo I can come to! Tell him that I am also able to fight!” Uryu looked away, “I'm sorry…but I agree with Ichigo…I think it'd be best if you stay behind…”
She looked at him shocked and hurt. She felt like the one person she could have depended on betrayed her and not only that; she thought he had faith in her and her powers.
“Oh…” She then looked down, her lips shivered but she did not cry. Her eyes showed anger and disappointment, “Alright…I'll stay.”
Uryu felt bad, he knew how much she wanted to fight along side them and help, but he didn't want her to get hurt or anything. “…”
Ichigo then placed his hand on her shoulder making her glance up at him, “Don't worry…we'll be back…” He gave her a confident smile. She nodded and smiled, but it meant nothing.
“Come on, let's go Uryu!” Ichigo then headed towards the door grabbing his coat. Uryu nodded and took one step, looking back at Aneko. Both their eyes met, she gave him a saddened and yet worried look. He felt sympathy for her and looked away, 'I'm so sorry Aneko…please forgive me,'
He and Ichigo then ran out the door leaving Aneko behind. She walked over to the bed-which Uryu was to sleep in-sat down and looked down at her knees. Her fist tightened, “Why…why is it I'm so weak?” She glanced up and noticed Uryu's glasses were still on the table. “Hum…?” She picked them up and looked at them, “Uryu's…glasses…?” She then realized he needed his glasses in order to see clearly.
“Uryu's glasses?!” She got up and paced back and forth panicking, “Oh no! H-he needs these!”
“What do I do?!” She wanted to run after them but remembered Karin was still there meaning she couldn't be left alone. “Damn it!” She picked up a phone and grabbed a thick book which had her dad's patient's numbers, “I have to find someone to watch her,” She then paused thinking about it. `Who would even consider coming this late…?!' Suddenly her hand was grabbed onto. “Huh…?!” She glanced behind and noticed Karin giving her a glare, “Oh no you don't!”
“K-Karin…?! W-when did you…?!”
Karin then snatched the book and phone from Aneko's grasp and threw them on the bed, “I'm not a baby anymore!”
She gave her a shocked expression, “Karin…!?”
“If you have somewhere important to be, then go!”
Aneko then shook her head in protest, “No! I'm not going to leave you alone! It's too dangerous!”
Karin smirked at her, “Stupid. I'm old enough to handle myself!”
“B-but…!”
Karin then pushed Aneko towards the door, “Go! You have no time!” Aneko then stopped Karin and looked back at her.
“What the hell are you doing I said-!” Suddenly Karin felt herself in her sister's warm embrace. Karin blinked a couple of times, before realizing what just happened. “Huh…?!”
Aneko hugged her closely, “Thanks sis...” She then stood up, grabbed her orange raincoat and grabbed Uryu's glasses. “I'll be back soon, I promise!” She ran out the door.
Karin felt a smile creep itself on her face, “Yeah…”
Aneko raced through the rain trying to find Uryu and Ichigo. 'I…Have to hurry and find them! Where could they have gone?!' She then stopped once she felt such an intense spiritual power near by.
“There!” She began to head towards the area. She ran through the alley that was by as a short cut and noticed two shadows up ahead. One was big and the other was smaller.
“Huh…!?” She ran closer towards it and noticed that light revealed it to be Chad and Orihime. “C-Chad?! Orihime?!”
“Aneko…!” Orihime wore a pink raincoat and showed a bright smile on her face. Chad wore a gray one and looked a bit surprised to see her.
“W-what are you two doing here?!” Aneko then questioned. She was shocked but a little relieved to have found someone.
Orihime then looked at Chad and smiled, “I sensed the Hollow so I followed it and ended up meeting up with Chad,”
“Yes…it seems to be much stronger than what we've ever faced before…” He then added.
Aneko nodded, “Yes…but I'm not here to fight…” She pulled out Uryu's glasses.
“Huh…?” They both looked at them. “Aren't those Uryu's?” Orihime then asked.
Aneko nodded, “He forgot them at our house…so I wanted to find him and give them to him…I'm worried without them he won't be able to see very well…especially in combat…”
Suddenly the ground began to shake and the wind began to blow rather violently making the rain fly all over the place.
“Ah, W-what's going on?!” Orihime then shouted frightened.
“I-I don't know but I feel an even stronger presence with the other one we sensed earlier!” Aneko then yelled back.
Chad glanced up and noticed two giant Hollows ascending from the sky, “L-look!” He then pointed towards them.
“Two of them?!” Aneko then questioned. She couldn't believe there were two, with the same power, and frighteningly strong spiritual pressure.
Orihime then grabbed onto Aneko as the wind was pushing them away, “Ah!” Chad grabbed them both before it did, “Hold on!” He held them both in his grasp.
Suddenly Uryu's glasses slipped out of Aneko's hands, “Ah! Uryu's glasses!!” She released herself from Chad and Orihime's grasp, running after them as the harsh wind blew them away.
“Aneko!”
She then felt her body being picked up by the wind, like she was in a mini-twister. “A-ah!” She tried to swim in air but it failed as she was being dragged towards the Hollows. “N-no! I have to get Uryu's glasses!” She quickly grabbed onto a post she noticed and hung onto it, “I…I don't think I can hold it for long! My hands are slipping…!” She felt her hands slip, one finger by one.
Suddenly the violent wind calmed, making Aneko fall towards the ground, “Ah!” She then hit the ground hard, landing on her back.
“Aneko!” Orihime and Chad ran up to her. Orihime helped her up, “Are you ok?!” Aneko rubbed her head and nodded, “Y-yeah…just a small cut...I'll be fine…” She showed them the cut on her elbow. Orihime smiled and clapped her hands, “Don't worry! Leave it to me!” Just as she was about to summon her Shun Shun Rikka Aneko stopped her, “No. Thank you…but you have to save your powers! Who knows what we're up against…besides…it's nothing, really!”
Orihime gave her a worried look, “But…”
Aneko smiled at her and nodded, “I'm fine…trust me,” Orihime then nodded, convinced, “Ok…”
Aneko got up and helped Orihime up as well. She then noticed Uryu's glasses on the ground, luckily undamaged.
“Thank goodness…”
Chad realized that the two Hollows managed to disappear, “They're gone…” He then said, his voice was very deep and serious. He knew this meant they had to be much more cautious then before.
Orihime and Aneko gazed their attention at Chad, “What…?!”
Aneko walked up to him and looked at the sky. She noticed it as well. They had disappeared and their power couldn't be traced anymore, just the cold breeze that was left behind.
“But…where did they…?” Aneko shook her head, realizing that that was the least of her worries, and began running off, “I need to find Uryu and Ichigo!”
Orihime and Chad followed, "A-Aneko, please wait…!" Orihime then shouted.
