It's Christmas. Everyone was happy, including Rukia Kuchiki. Yes, she's happy though she doesn't really believe in this occasion since she's a shinigami. Today is the day where everyone is going to share everything they have.

 

But she felt there's something empty inside her. Maybe it's her heart. She thought she needed someone to love her. Chizuru once told her that every Christmas it's a good and perfect time to search for your Mr. Right. Chizuru also told her that you should put a note inside a bottle then throw it on a river and your Mr. Right will be the one to find it.

 

Chizuru who's a little bit boyish during their high school times is now a fully grown lady.

 

At first she didn't believe but how can she know if it's true or what. Of course she did.

The day is very peaceful. The flowers all over the Karakura town are in full bloom. January 14 - a very special day for Rukia Kuchiki. It is the day she was born.

 

 

She stood gently at the window of Ichigo's bedroom. The wind softly caressed her beautiful face which made her shut her eyes, her amazing cereaulean eyes. She lightly curled her moisturized lips when a boy named Renji Abarai popped up in her mind.

 

 

She knows she loves him since they're young, since they both enrolled in the Shinigami Academy, since the Kuchiki Clan recognized her as their princess, since he became a Vice Captain of the 6th division and since the day she knew how to love.

 

 

There's nothing more Rukia wants than to be with him. He's her birthday wish even though it's clearly impossible. She thought Renji only love him as a friend and as a younger sister.

 

 

Rukia's silence was suddenly cutted off when Ichigo arrived. He tapped her shoulder in a subtle manner that awakened her senses.

 

 

“Oi Rukia, how's your sleep?” Ichigo asked in his usual tone.

 

“Ahh .. Have you prepared something to eat?” Rukia asked in between laughs like telling she was already hungry.

 

“Yeah, Yuzu made Tonkatsu for today.” Ichigo smiled at her.

 

“I guess I gotta go downstairs now.” Rukia told him and walked outside the room.

 

“Oi Rukia!” He shouted.

 

“Anything?” She asked with a big question mark on her head.

 

“Happy Birthday!” He greeted him sweetly.

 

She didn't respond and just smiled.

Later that night, she decided to watch her favorite TV show. Its title is “Lovestruck”. It is about a book written by Ayumi Hanazawa (a famous singer and actress turned writer) about her experiences and her best pieces of advices for the young people whose deeply in love or secretly in love to someone, or simply wants to impress them. Rukia is an avid fan of the said popular show, she wants to express her undying love for Renji, discover how nice it is to be in love with him, to be happy with him forever.

 

 

How Rukia wish she can buy the book.

 

 

She immediately grab the remote control from the Lion plushie Kon, and entered the network where Lovestruck can be watched. While watching the said show, her eyes where glued to the TV screen, as if she doesn't even want to miss everything that she won't even blink for a second.

 

“Look Kon, the televiewers are now purchasing the book.” She excitedly told the Lion plushie.

 

“You want me to go with you to buy it?” Kon asked expecting for an affirmation.

 

“If you would join me that would be a great gift.” She stated like convincing him to go with her.

 

Then Kon can't do anything but to join her.

The place is very populated. The crowd is very noisy. They are all screaming badly when Ayumi Hanazawa arrived. Rukia can't help but to go with the flow. She screamed and shouted at the highest tone she could ever do while Kon is busy looking at the sexy girls around him. Suddenly, the famous writer went on the stage and offered a speech for her fans saying that she did everything just to make the book sold out.

 

She went home very happy and celebrated her birthday with the whole Kurosaki family.

The next morning, she can't wait but to read the book. The first advice of Ayumi is to steal your someone's “to do notebook” so that you can easily know his/her schedule for the whole week or whole month.

 

 

Rukia stood up and look at the miroor. She looked at herself, at her sweet face. She thought she can easily get him if she wants to. She decided to take a bath so she can visit Renji's house and steal the notebook in her reasonable purpose.

 

After taking a bath, she told everyone that she's going to visit Renji. Karin invited her to eat first so she can have energy for the whole day but she refused. On the way, Yuzu who's eating a banana met her so she talked to her for a minute saying she'll visit Renji today. Yuzu left her and threw the banana on the pathwalk . Rukia heard that Ichigo is calling her name.

 

“Yes?” Rukia asked the Orange haired guy.

 

“Come here.” Ichigo instructed the petite lady.

 

She ran fastly like a child because she wants to get early at Renji's house that she didn't notice that there's a banana waste on the way. Her left foot slid on it and she panickly pushed Ichigo to help her but she was embarrassed when she realized that she's on top of him and her lips were on his in a public place.

 

She turned tomato red in a sudden embarrassment.

 

She quickly stood up and broke the silence between them. Of course, he apologized. She told him it's okay and it's her fault.

Ichigo doesn't know what to feel. He's happy, he's in love, he's fulfilled. He told himself that he's now going to confess his feelings, his deep feelings for her, that she's the only one who ever made him feel this way, that he loved her very much, that she's his life, that she completes him, that he can promise to love her forever.

 

On the other hand, Rukia felt dazed and confused. She doesn't know why her heart skipped a beat when she accidentally kissed him. Oh, it feels good. She must admit. While walking, she can't help but touch her lips. She can still feel his soft lips on to hers. She wants it. She wants it,

Aftre some minutes of deep thinking, she finally reached his condo unit. Renji is surprised to see her.

 

“Good day Renji!” Rukia started with a cheerful greeting.

 

“Yo Rukia, come in.” He opened the door and let her seat comfortably on his sofa. “Anything to drink?” the crimson haired guy offered but she refused

 

“Ahh, Renji I want you to have this cake.” Rukia smiled devilishly on his plan. She knows that he always prefer sweet foods.

 

“Hey, it's my favorite, thanks!” he immediately open the box and sliced the pastry and placed it on a plate, he excitedly ate it. Rukia just looked at him happily remembering that she put some medicine on the cake so he will sleep after eating. Urahara told her its effect is usually 24 hours.

 

After many minutes, Renji went asleep. She remembered to search for his notebook and she founded it easily.

Later that night, she read his schedule and found out that he'll go tomorrow to a badminton event for some fun and exercise so she decided to call Orihime. Since the Arrancar arc, they became friends. She can be a good friend to Rukia.

 

“Yes?” Orihime cheerfully asked.

 

“It's Rukia.” She calmly informed her. “Any appointments for tomorrow?”

 

“Nothing.” Orihime sighed soundly.

 

“Can you join me to play Volleyball?” Rukia frankly asked.

 

“Sure.” Orihime immediately accepted the invitation.

 

“So tomorrow, 8 am at Urahara's.” Rukia said with a nice tone.

 

“No problem.” Orihime assured her.

 

 

Rukia giggled quietly right after the call. She thought that tomorrow will be a very great day for her and she promised to herself that Renji will be impressed to her, only to her.

It's clearly 7 am in the morning. She took an in depth reading to the book just to get new and useful advices from the famous Ayumi Hanazawa. The book Says:

 

If you want to impress him, be sure that when he looked at you just FLIP YOUR HAIR. When you see that he smile, just smile back at him then wink but remember not to give a flying kiss because a flying kiss is a throw kiss, it's nonsense and it would turn him off. If you want to kiss him, feel free.

 

 

She excitedly closed the book and took a refreshing shower. Without her knowing, Ichigo also read the said book until he found out that she admires Renji.

 

“If this book is effective, then I have no choice.” He told himself when an interesting idea popped up in his playful mind.

 

He wander his Auburn eyes around his room, He searched for Rukia's `to do notebook' and he found it easily. He had known that she's going today at the Badminton court with Orihime to caught Renji's attention.

 

He found reading the book a little bit boring. He flipped it into a far page and saw an interesting and a cool advice of the writer which says:

 

Invite her to drink with you and exchange your drink to hers so that she'll think you're cool after she drank your drink but be sure she won't know it.

 

 

Ichigo smiled childishly. He came in to a plan that he'll invite Rukia and Renji together with Orihime for a snack and he'll exchange his drinks to hers.

 

He immediately put the book under the pillow when felt that she will be coming out on the bathroom just a few seconds.

 

“Ichigo?” She said with a puzzle on her mind. She wonders why Ichigo is awake very early.

 

“Yeah … Ahh … Rukia” Ichigo smiled and turned slight red when he saw that Rukia is only wearing a towel. “I guess I better leave now.” He suggested acting cool but still not looking her.

Ichigo followed Rukia and Orihime around without their knowing. While on the other hand, when Rukia reached the court he saw Renji and her eyes widened when she saw him wearing a very masculine outfit which defines his muscles, his firm muscles and `Oh' abs. He looked at her and then she remembered what she learned from the book that if he looked at you just flip your hair. He smiled and of course she curled her lips in to its fullest. She winked at him like he's the only one in the world that she sees.

 

Everything is planned. Everything is perfect until a boy with a bright Orange hair named Ichigo Kurosaki came up on the scene. He shouted which threw Rukia and Renji off.

 

“Yo guys!” Ichigo scratch the back of his head “So you're here too.” He said in between laughs pretending he didn't expect that the three would be there.

 

“Kurosaki-san, it's great maybe we can have a match!” Orihime said and pointed the badminton racket on his face.

 

He can't refuse but to accept since she had been a good friend to him.

 

Orihime smiled.

 

After the match, Rukia suggested to drink because she is very tired and she wanted to rejuvenate.

 

“Then the true show begins.” Ichigo stated to himself devilishly.

 

The four decided to have drinks at a nearby restaurant until Rukia excused herself so she can fix herself first for a few minutes but without their knowing, she'll only read the book, for some good reasons.

 

When she entered a cubicle, she immediately opened the book. She was wondering why there is a page that is neatly folded then she thought maybe she had read that part and she isn't able to finish it , so she folded it but she didn't know that it's Ichigo who folded that while she is taking a bath earlier.

 

She read it. She read the part about exchanging drinks. She smiled when she realized it's a right advice at a right time to a right place for a right person. Everything for her is just right.

 

She immediately and excitedly went to their table. She sat beside Renji. Of course the table is square so Orihime is facing Renji and Rukia is facing Ichigo.

 

“Guys, before eating, I think we should pray first.” Orihime suggested.

 

“That's right.” Both Ichigo and Rukia said, they are agreeing to Orihime's suggestion so that they can perform their `plan' well.

 

Renji has no choice but to pray with them.

 

 

While their eyes were closed, Ichigo exchanged his drinks to Rukia's and when Rukia opened her eyes and saw that all of them were praying she exchanged her drinks to Renji without any noise then quickly closed her eyes again. Then surprisingly, Orihime exchanged also her drink to Ichigo because she secretly bought a `Lovestruck' book and she had read the advice of Ayumi about `exchanging drinks and it is her main reason why she suggested to pray first.

 

 

After the prayer, they drank happily and manage to talk at some things, about Soul Society and about their experiences with slight laughter.

 

 

Rukia can't forget her extreme day. He was always in her mind. His smile, his eyes, his voice, he's everything. Everything that she wants.

 

“I love you Lovestruck.” She hugged the book tightly “You're the only way so I'll get Renji.”

The next morning, she found out that Renji is going at a famous bar. Of course she'll follow him. So she read again the book. It says:

 

The golden rule: DRESS TO IMPRESS. Wear awesome pieces that can fit your body fabulously but it doesn't have to be so glamorous, it still depends on the place.

 

She can't wait for the Sun to set and Ichigo noticed it badly. After many hours, it's already 8 pm the bunny themed clock inside her closet where she sleeps says. Rukia is ready. Her curves were defined in a red sleeveless piece with white tube and a mini skirt that showed her sexy thighs and legs with a very fit leggings like a net and a 3 inch heeled black close shoes. Her hair is very manageable. She curled it. She put on a black base eye shadow, using a cotton buds, she topped it with a yellow green shade which she had learned from Rangiku for a smoky effect while her cheeks were very hot in a bronze blush on, her soft kissable lips rock on a slight pink nude lipstick which showed off the natural color of her lips. She also curled her eyelashes and defined it more using brown mascara. Her eye color changed from Cereaulean to Hazel using a contact lens. Her nails were kept long and a red polish adds sensuality.

 

She's just outrageous.

 

By using a Polaroid camera, she took pictures of herself and placed it on Ichigo's desk. The Orange haired guy is pretending that he's fast asleep and saw her gone to the bar with his face slightly buried to his white pillow.

 

When he thought she's already left. He took a look at her pictures. She's really beautiful, captivating, nobody can outstand her beauty. How he wish she can be his lifetime partner.

 

When Rukia arrived, everybody looked at her. That night, she became the type of girl that most girls don't like; she became the type of girl that boys do fantasize.

 

Renji noticed her friend and talked to her.

 

“Yo Rukia! You look nice tonight.” Renji approached the petite girl.

 

“Thanks.” She smiled.

 

The conversation between the two of them widened until he mentioned accidentally that he has feelings for her until they became officially `on' in an instant.

After the whole family had breakfast the next morning, she received a call from Renji saying he wants to invite her for a date. She is totally surprised and prepared herself quickly. She took a bath. It's her dream, her one and only dream. To be with him and now she can't just believe that they were officially on. It feels great- to achieve and attain your dreams. She's just fulfilled.

 

The couple watched romantic movies, shop till they drop, eat anything they want together, walk with holding hands and shared laughter without any reason. It's just they're happy being together, after many years of poverty in Rukongai and heavy training at Soul Society with the Gotei 13 captains and they just can't believe that everything is already done and now they are in Earth- So happy and in love.

 

Until Rukia doesn't know why even she is happy with Renji, there is something that makes her feel uncontented . She can't comprehend herself. She must be happy. She must be fulfilled. She must be secured in everything because Renji is there standing by.

 

She can't erase Ichigo in her memory. There is a deep and inscrutable feeling that she felt. This is the first time she had ever felt it for him, she wonders where he is right now, what he's doing or if he's alright. But hey, she knows it's just a concern for a friend and she thought that thinking of Ichigo is nothing but futile.

 

Everything about Rukia and Ichigo is useless.

 

The laughter and the sweet arguments which are always in her playful mind is maybe just a love for a friend. Besides she has Renji.

After many tiring days of thinking, it's already February. Nothing changed. She still date with Renji, She still went to Soul Society for a visit to her family, she still spent time to the loving Kurosaki family and she still kept on thinking why she can't keep Ichigo away on her mind. She is very dazed and confused. It's killing her inside. She thought she should avoid him. It's wrong for her to be with him. She knows she loves Renji and everything seems right whenever she's with him.

 

One day, she decided to clean the house since she had free time. Orihime also volunteered on cleaning the house. They vacuumed the floor, the stairway, and the rooms. They wiped the windows, the appliances and they organized everything.

 

While Orihime is very busy on the kitchen, Rukia decided to clean the lower part of Ichigo's closet where his clothes and other stuff is can be seen. There is nothing extraordinary. She folded each shirt and wiped the books that he always read when he's bored or whenever he feel it until she found something that looks very familiar to her and also touched her heart, her frozen heart. It's the note that she had written during the yuletide season, the note that she had put in a bottle and threw in the river. It only proves that Ichigo is her Mr. Right. She cried silently. It's clearly impossible. She must admit that she had already forgotten it until she saw it, in Ichigo's closet - the place where she also sleeps.

 

She opened it to be sure if it's really hers. Her eyes widended. It's hers and she saw something precious inside the bottle, a rare piece of white gold necklace, its pendant is a heart with a bow which look cupid hit it. It means that Ichigo is in love to someone. There is also a letter from him looks like it is his reply to the sender. Ichigo says on the letter:

 

“I don't know who you are, but I think were on the same situation. We pray for our loved ones, we pray to God to send us someone who can protect us, someone who can love us until the end of time, someone who is destined for us to find, but now I learned that love is my weakness. I do not fall for girls easily but once I fall, I kept on falling. I learned that a person we love is not the only thing we need. We also need their love, their caring and their time because in my case, I already found the one I love but she doesn't love me and the sad part is she has someone. I realized everything is there just left unspoken like my feelings for her. I want to tell her she's my life that she completes me but I know it will only hurt. Now I learned that love is complex, it is sometimes great, it can hurt and I know I should not force her to fall in love with me because Love is not supposed to be like that. Love is supposed to be felt, that's why it's called love. I love her and I just want these words to speak for themselves.”

 

 

 

She kept on crying. Now she knows how special she had been fro him. Now she knows that she's his life. Now she knows that she's the one that he wants, that he needs, that he likes, that he admires, that he adores, that he just loves.

 

Even though she's in love to someone.

 

 

Orihime suddenly arrived. She brought food for Rukia. She saw her crying and asked what's the matter. Rukia wondered why she smiled after she answered her back.

 

“Rukia, you should be happy.” Orihime's weird behavior is a as weird as the food she brought.

 

“I don't want him to be hurt.” Rukia sat down to his bed carefully. “I only see him as a friend.”

 

“You sure?” Orihime asked and let an eye to eye contact with Rukia.

 

“Yeah.” She answered quickly with full of bravery.

 

“Poor Ichigo.” Orihime laughed a bit. “Love comes in unexpected packages, and I know someone can show him the true meaning of love.” Her tone became serious.

The next morning, Rukia woke up early. She saw Ichigo, still fast asleep. He's simply charming. Then she thought waking him up is a good idea. She started in some gentle taps in his face. It's warm and smooth which is unusual for a man like him.

 

“Ru-rukia..” Ichigo whispered and buried his face on a pillow. “Please let me take a rest.”

 

“No Ichigo, please wake up idiot.” She cried at him. “Or do you want me to use `Way of destruction no. 33?' first?” Rukia said and laugh a bit because she knows that he can't perform kidou spells.

 

“No, I said I'll wake up!” Ichigo hurriedly went to the bathroom to fix himself.

 

 

The family had lunch together. They ate Rukia's favorite dish which is Katsudon. She loves eggs. She told everyone that she'll just go somewhere to relax. Then she went to Urahara Kisuke.

 

The sandal hat man welcomed her. It's been weeks, yes a couple of weeks since she lsst visited him. The house didn't change. They still sell goods and Urahara is till as kind as before.

 

“Irasahai Kuchiki-san! Anything?” Urahara asked in his usual tone that always pisses Ichigo off. (*note Irashai means Welcome in Nihonggo or the Japanese language)

 

“Just a piece of advice.” She sighed. Her tone is cold. She walked towards the sliding main door of his house. “Won't you let me in?”

 

“Of course, please come inside.”

 

As she walked to their Living room, Ririn and her friends saw her in their stuff toy form. Cloud is still cute, Rukia thought. The blonde man prepared something to eat. She told him all the things that she wanna say. Although she's not a good at those things, she's still comfortable talking to him since they met a few years ago.

 

“Ahh.” The blonde man covered his face with his ancient Japanese inspired fan. “I think you should analyze everything first. It's not what your head wants but it's not what your heart wants too. It's what you want. It's the beat that your heart skips when you're with someone. It's the happiness you felt whenever you're with him. It's like he got you sprung and you don't care who sees. That's love and be careful `cause it moves in mysterious ways so you should hold on close to the one you have chosen because even though you think you know which way the river flows that's not the way love goes.”

 

She looked at him in confusion.

 

“There are many things that are killing me silently. I wonder how can something so wrong feel so right all along? How can time be so wrong for love to come along?” She looked down on the floor. “I hate it.”

 

“Nah, Rukia-chan! Sometimes we can't help ourselves to fall in love to someone while we have another. It's just because the person we have is not destined for us.” He looked at her charming face. “As simple as that.”

 

 

The night was so cold. The stars were shining and twinkling at the pure night sky. Rukia thought of everything that Urahara said. She can tell he's right. She also remembered what Orihime said “Love comes in unexpected packages.” And loving Ichigo is unexpected. Now she knows she have to confess her feelings for him even though she knows he's on the process of moving on. She thought of Renji. How about him? She doesn't know and personally, she couldn't care less because she never felt more sure but it's Ichigo who made her feel this way.

 

 

 

The next morning, it's Valentine's Day. February 14. Renji called her for a date and she told him she'll come but without his knowing, she's going to tell him that she loves Ichigo and she's now going to break the relationship between them.

 

Renji prepared everything for her. The venue is a secret place in the Karakura town. There is flowing water around. Fishes can be seen. The trees were tall. The place looks paradise. The birds song for them and the nicest thing is that many rabbits are can be seen. Renji knows that she loves rabbits. Renji asked advice from Ichigo for a perfect date of course the Orange haired boy can't refuse.

 

“I love you Rukia.” Renji held her hand tightly and gave her an expensive bracelet which is also Ichigo's idea.

 

The bracelet is very beautiful that's why Renji wondered why she took it off.

 

“Sorry Renji.” She cried and hugged him.

 

She explained everything. He easily understands it and he told her he's willing to let go of her. He even told her that he can do anything just to make her happy. She thanked him wholeheartedly then told him she wants to see Ichigo right at that moment. He allowed her.

 

 

She went to Ichigo's room. She searched for him and sat at his bed.

 

“Oi Rukia?” He said.

 

Rukia didn't respond. She hugged him.

 

“I love you Ichigo.” She told him. “Please say you love me too.”

 

“Rukia .. What are you talking about?” He pushed her slightly.

 

“You know it Ichigo .. I mean .. Please..” She kissed him. He knows it's wrong.

 

Ichigo removed his lips on to hers.

 

“Rukia, how about Renji?” He asked with a high pitch of tone. “I love you but I guess that wasn't good enough.”

 

“I have already told him about this.” She shouted. “And it doesn't matter.”

 

She continued hugging him.
