Karakura Town - Karakura High
The next to last bell of the day had rung signaling the students of Karakura High to get to class. A young man in all black strutted into his classroom, ten minutes later, all nonchalant with his hands in his pockets. The teacher of the classroom glared at him with displeased eyes. “Kiyoshi Hinamoru, late again. And still out of uniform as usual.”
“Well you know me, gotta stay fly.” he responded. He took a seat next to a young lady in black and purple by the name of Azuma Takanawa.
“Mm hmph, hope you weren't out having fun without me.” said Azuma.
“What, I would never do such a thing.”
The teacher slapped a long yardstick against the green chalkboard to get their attention. “Listen up class. Today we will begin studying the great works of Shakespeare.”
The students grunted in agony at their new assignment.
“Dude, Shakespeare sucks ass.” Kiyoshi said. He never liked to do work anyway.
The teacher laughed at his students. “Shakespeare is not that bad people. In fact I find his work to be rather lovely, and inspiring.”
“Who gives a rat's ass?!” shouted Azuma.
The students giggled at her comment. A large vein pulsated on the teacher's forehead. “The next person to blurt out like that is going to the principal's office. Do I make myself clear?”
Azuma was about to answer him with another smart comment when the howling sound of a hollow rang through the air. She and Kiyoshi were the only two in the classroom that could the chilling sound. They turned to each other and smiled.
“Yo Mr. Oki, I gotta go drop the duce.” said Kiyoshi.
Mr. Oki slapped his forehead then said, “Did you really have to tell everybody? Go.”
Kiyoshi smiled with excitement then leaped out his desk and dashed out the door. Azuma raised her hand for a question. “I have to use the restroom too. Lady problems.”
The teacher slowly turned around facing the board. He then rammed his head against it hard. He pointed his finger towards the door. “Just..go.”
Azuma ran out the door catching up with her friend. Mr. Oki looked to the class confused. “What is it with those two?”
The Park
At a small, playground, just behind a local elementary school, stood a hollow. It was large and had four legs taking the appearance of a rhino. Its body was pure white. It thrashed around the park knocking objects over. The lost soul of a little girl ran from the creature in fear trying to escape it. She ran and ran and ran until she couldn't anymore and finally, collapsed. The hollow charged closer and closer towards the terrified girl. Just as it opened its mouth to devour her, a hand grabbed onto one of the horns on its long snout, stopping the creature in its tracks. The little girl looked up and saw two people standing before her, Kiyoshi and Azuma. Kiyoshi looked over to Azuma with calmness as if nothing was happening.
“You wanna take him or should I?”
Azuma looked the creature up and down for second. “Go for it. He's too weak for me.”
Kiyoshi snickered at her a bit before tossing the hollow back and into the air. It landed with a hard crash a few feet away. He grabbed the yin yang medallion hanging from his neck and squeezed. A bright light emitted from his hand as the medallion disappeared. Seconds later it reformed into a sword with a black hilt and square guard on his back. This was his zanpaku-to. The little girl watch this still with fear, she didn't know what was going on. Kiyoshi unsheathed the sword quickly pulling it back to his ear and crouched a little. He smiled as the hollow shook off the dizziness from the collision with the ground. It gave a fierce roar before beginning its charge once more.
“Kill em dead, Zetsumei.”
With those words he ran his right hand fingers across the blade of the sword. It glowed with an ominous light before splitting into two equal sized blades on one hilt. In the middle of the blades was a steady surge of black lightning. Kiyoshi calmly walked towards the hollow spinning his blade. The hollow leaped into the air and tilted its head, pointing its horn towards him. Kiyoshi let out a small laugh as he twisted his body around while swinging his sword upwards firing an arc of black lightning. The lightning traveled with great sped until it made contact with its target's head. The hollow froze in midair, seconds later its head split in two as it faded into spirit particles. Kiyoshi smile at success as he walked over to Azuma and the little girl.
“Well that was pretty freaking easy. Didn't put up a fight at all.” Azuma stated with a frown. She loved the thrill of battle.
Kiyoshi turned to face the little girl with a warm smile on his face. “Everything's okay now. The bad monster is gone and won't be coming back.” The little girl eased herself at this information. Kiyoshi turned his zanpaku-to so the hilt was facing the girl. “Don't worry, I'm going to send you to a beautiful place where all the good people live.” She smiled as the tip of the hilt touched gently against her forehead. She glowed with a blue light as her body dematerialized into spirit particles. Kiyoshi deactivated his shikai then sheathed his sword.
“We should head back to class now, Mr. Oki's probably pissed by now.” he stated.
“Who gives a shit let's go have some fun for a bit.” Azuma said with a smile.
Kiyoshi gave a long sigh, giving in to Azuma. He didn't feel like arguing with her cause he knew he was going to loose. “Alright then, what you wanna do?”
“Let's go find some hollows to kill, I'm in a fighting mood now.”
Kiyoshi's smile turned into a lazy frown. “Awww, do we have to?” he asked sounding like a little kid.
“Shut up and come on.” Azuma grabbed him by his ear and laughed. She dashed off using the technique, Shunpo.
