Chapter 2 of: Sword Of Faith
Ichigo and Rukia walked down the streets of Seireiteito the meeting. Rukia looked over at Ichigo, seeing Ichigo in captain robes made Rukia a think. She thought it was absurd he became a captain, well she did ask him to become a captain so she couldn't say anything really, since she has became a captain a few years ago things have been a bit hectic for her. Ichigo caught Rukia staring at him.
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked curiously, Rukia looked away.
“Nothing,”
“I know you to well to know when your lying Rukia,” said Ichigo while smiling, he put his arms behind his head and stretched.
“It's nothing,” she said as she put a fake smile on.
“Ok,” he went to back to minding himself. They stopped at the entrance. Ichigo scratched his head, “Since I'm late I better make a flashy entrance,” smiled Ichigo, he turned to Rukia.
“Aye, Rukia...,” she looked up at Ichigo “Give me your hand,” he said calmly
“But we-,” she was cut off by Ichigo, he took her hand and in a blink of an eye he disappeared into the meeting so fast no one noticed him. Ichigo stood in between Kyoraku and Hitsugaya, Kyoraku looked at Ichigo as he leaned his hat down.
“Frightening speed Ichigo,” said Kyoraku, still staring at Ichigo, Ichigo looked at him paranoid, “Do you have to say that all the time!” yelled Ichigo, “And whats with that flashy robe?!” he said in a angrily joking manner
“Huh? This thing?” he said with a grin, “Just for looks,” he said still grinning, Ichigo looked at him plainly, “Your pathetic,” Yamamoto interrupted Ichigo and Kyoraku's conversation.
“Shall we continue?” he said in his old raspy voice, he looked at Soifon and nodded, “Apparently there was an intruder who broke in on the west side gate,” she said calmly.
“An intruder?” whispered Ichigo, “Jidanbo was defeated? thought Ichigo, “Well it makes since that some one entered, Jidanbo believes defeat means he must open the gates, even to an enemy,” Rukia looked at Ichigo who was a bit startled.
“I want Soifon and her squad to search for the ryoka,” said Yamamoto, “Keep this to your selves and say nothing to any one, we don't want to have chaos inside Seireitei like there was eight years ago...,” he looked at Ichigo who turned his head away, “Dismissed!” Every one disappeared from the room and went there way.
---Later that day---
Ichigo walked up to the tree from earlier and sat down and leaned against the tree and closed his eyes. The wind blew and rustled the leaves above Ichigo, he opened his eyes, “How come your the one who always finds me?” There was silence and then a voice came from the side of Ichigo.
“Well first your constantly pouring out spirit energy and second your always here when you want to be left alone,” said Rukia, leaning against the tree next to Ichigo. Silence took over leaving only but the sounds of the tree's leaves moving with the wind. She looked down at Ichigo, who leaned his head back against the tree with his eyes closed.
Rukia sighed and then spoke, “You haven't been yourself,” she said in a quiet voice, Ichigo opened his left eye and starred at Rukia, “Yea and how would you know?” he replied back.
Rukia grinned “Cause I know you all to well,” he was taken by her statement for a little and remembered what he said earlier, “I know you to well to know when your lying Rukia,”he smiled, “It's almost been seven years since Ive seen them,” he said looking up into the empty night less sky.
“Your family?” she said starring at him, he nodded in reply. Ichigo felt it get colder to where his hair on his arms where standing up. He looked up and saw snow flakes blowing from the wind.
“Ichigo,” she said in a serious way, he looked up at her, “This spirit energy...is captain Hitsugaya's!” An explosion went off inside Seireitei, “Ichigo!” he nodded and got up, “Lets go!”
